I will seek and find you . I shall take you to bed and have my way with you I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan. I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop. I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you. And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days. All my love, signed: The Flu3 points

If they don't do things like this all of the time, I say let it go. Maybe they are renting it and are trying to get done whatever they can before they have to turn it back in. That may not be the reason, but if there isn't a pattern, I wouldn't get too worked up about it. I suppose how close you are to each other can make a difference. I won't typically mow my grass before it is dry, but if I need to because I am leaving or something, I have been known to do it early in the morning. It's rare, but it happens.3 points

before you do the soundbar, check out those Bose 2.1 Cinemate speakers. I don't know what kind of sorcery Bose put into that sound processing box, but they sounded better than a legit 5.1 system (not one of those cheap walmart combo boxes). We went through 3 or 4 speakerbars (up to $500) and a full $700 5.1 system, and nothing could even touch that Bose setup.2 points

Please do not defile the M1 carbine with optics or anything else. The sights are fine for 100 yards and within. Like Mike.357 it is my favorite rifle of all time.2 points

From your history, I would ignore it. If the guy is a jerk, and the law can't do anything, all you do when you complain is give him feedback on what to do to aggravate you. If he is not tearing up your property with it, just let it go. If he is, the law CAN do something about that, take a video and pictures.2 points

I got whippings as a child and possibly a bruise or two but made me a better person I think. I was not whipped as abuse. I was whipped because I was bad and deserved it knowing what I was going to do may earn me one I did it anyway. That is what is wrong with children today and I think in many cases why kids shoot kids today instead of going to blows with fists to settle a dispute. Bloody nose or black eye was a badge or courage when I was growing up and in most cases after it was over we were friends.........jmho2 points

There is such a market for a print edition, local paper! There is intrinsic worth in sitting down with a paper and a cup of coffee that delivers exposure to the reader in a way that the Balkanized worlds that we create for ourselves online will simply have a hard time competing with. As a reader, I should be able to sit down with my local paper and see both stories that are of interest to me as well as a variety of stories that I have not been exposed to, yet. The problem with Gannett, E.W. Scripps, et al is that they've turned these local papers into financial instruments that are designed to deliver value to shareholders instead of delivering value to their readers. The reason I quit subscribing to the Tennessean when it was still $0.35 was that I realized I could pick up a copy of the Tennessean, The Jacksonville Sun-Times, The New Orleans Times Picayune, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, etc... and essentially read the same paper. The management of these papers mistakenly thought that they could become rebroadcast services for the Associated Press, Reuters and UPI and that no one would notice. They replaced local knowledge with syndicated content and fundamentally misjudged the value that they brought to their readers. It's probably too late for these companies. The newspaper of the future is going to have to support a business model that doesn't depend on classifieds, obituaries and ad circulars. Bruce Dobie is going to have to answer these questions with his experiment with the Nashville Banner. I hope some of the staff of the former Metro Pulse in Knoxville can find a vehicle to answer some of those questions as well. I spend several hundred dollars a year on a print subcription to the Wall Street Journal. I have online access as well, but that's not the primary method I use to interact with that publication. I would love nothing more than to replace that subscription with a daily local paper of value. I hope someone will take me up on that. Brian, I appreciated the voice that you and several others brought to the Tennessean, and I respect you guys for hanging on as long as you did. Good luck and Godspeed in you new endeavor. Don't be a stranger!1 point

With a small change, this /\ /\ could also be said. I bet you aren't in agreement with that. Common sense is not the same as common belief. Common sense to me says let the person it affects make the decision, not some bureaucrat. If you sincerely believe that the goal of this is not to try and attempt to make laws so stringent that it becomes a de facto abortion ban then I think we certainly have different views of what is common sense in this matter. I suspect those on both sides will just have to agree to disagree.1 point

I live in Bartlett, TN. God heats my workshop approx 9 months out of the year. The 3 months I use a small plug in oil heater. The one that looks like the old water filled heater in which the water was heated in a boiler then sent around the house. I plug it in about an hour prior to go in and it keeps my room toasty. The hammer should be color case hardened; not blued. It would probably look o.k. to touch up the spot with cold blue. I would suggest buying another hammer to cut the spur off, and keeping your hammer in case you would one day like to return the gun to it's original configuration. I would cut the entire spur off, and finish the area with a file, and then emory cloth. You could just trade it for a 642.1 point

that would be cool. However you cut the is fine 8-10 inches is perfect Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee1 point

Depends. If they are new brass with primers then I would suggest removing the decapping pin and running them through because the necks can be loose on military brass that has been torn down from loaded ammunition. And if it is new LC brass you probably will need to remove the crimp on the primer pockets as well when you get ready to reload them. I use a cheap 45 degree chamfer bit I bought from the hardware store to do this. Works great and is quick, easy as well as extremely cheap.1 point

This dumb bimbo is a retard from the inner city of STL. Unfortunately, there are a lot of idiots up there who keep feeding her votes. We are lucky enough here in Missouri that the votes in the smaller cities still drown out the libturds. They just had an open carry demonstration up in STL the other day. The new Missouri law just passed overrides all city ordinances against open carry. STL's anti-gun mayor is NOT happy, lol. She said the peaceful law abiding demonstrators were trying to turn her city into the "wild west".1 point

Last belt whoopin I got, about 5 licks into it my Mom came around the corner and yelled, " Not him! His brother! " I seem to remember one extra before he realized he had the wrong son lmao. He got messages via phone calls while he was on the road when we misbehaved. .He never forgot on his way home either. Trust me, I waited for years for that one time he'd forget, I'm still waiting haha1 point

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a flaw in my plan that I'd not thought of yet. Both of the blinds we put out this year are 5'wx4'deepx5'6"tall so with insulation and a heater they should stay nice and warm. The only catch is that I didn't get the windows built last week since I was chasing cows in all of my free time (and no free time) so they won't be sealed up like i'd hoped to have them unless we get a rainy day this week so that I can get them knocked out. Even if I don't get them in there permanently like I want them it would be nice to just shoot a few screws into the hinges so that they will help keep some of the warmth in..1 point

No no. Overall length is only a factor if you want to use a vertical forward grip. Totally tangential discussion. The brace can be used on any firearm, any way you can attach it. Well, nothing on a pistol but the "firearm" or "weapon" itself or grip on the ass end has ever been clearly ruled as adding to legal OAL. So far, that's only a buffer tube on AR direct impingement pistols, as of course that is a necessary part of the firearm. It's legal to put anything you like on the ass end of a firearm except a stock in certain configs or a device that allows auto fire, but that doesn't mean it contributes to legal OAL any more than would a banana. If you didn't read it, Dolo has written ATF for a ruling as to whether adding a buffer tube to an AK pistol adds legal OAL, so we'll see. That would allow many folks to do a VFG on AR pistols, and he will be exalted among AKdom if so! Nope. ATF measures OAL in long guns with stock fully extended, whether collapsible or folding or both. Not pertinent to handguns for obvious reasons. Read my reply in middle, brace certainly can't count in length, unless they make some ruling that it does. - OS1 point

I was in a similar situation as a kid. The best thing you can do, IMO, is make the times they spend at your house, playing with your kids a great time. I was pretty poor in my own house, but when I was hanging out at a friends house or my cousin's house, the parents always took a little extra care to make sure I was happy and enjoying myself. I had some envy, but more so, it helped make me want to make something of myself and rise up from my conditions. It proved that the best sermon is a good example. Trying to do more could be seen as disrespectful by the kids guardians, even if it is with the best intentions from the way you describe them. You might cause them to tell their kids to play with yours anymore, and then you're cut off from helping at all.1 point

It's folks like this who cause me to mentally justify unthinkable things. Most the time I respect the laws which make society civil; other times I wish society would let folks like me off the chain for a few days to take care of human garbage who prey on the weak without remorse. They need a dose of their own medicine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I own several M&P’s and have owned several others. They are as good as a $400-500 Tupperware gun gets. Everyone will have their opinion; some hate them others love them. Many departments have gone with the M&P and many more will. Some will change from the M&P to something else. But to say PD’s are dumping them is as ridiculous as saying they are all dumping 9mm or 40S&W ammo. If you like collecting go with the M&P; I’m trying to collect the whole family. I have a full size 40, Compact 40, Shield 40, M&P15T and M&P15-22. I’m waiting on a heavier barrel with a quad rail to get the M&P 308. I don’t have any aftermarket parts on mine, haven’t needed any, but I don’t know what’s available for the Glock that’s not available for the M&P. Shoot them both and look them over closely for fit and function. I wouldn’t buy used or Police trade-ins if you can save up awhile longer and get new. It’s not fair to judge a guns performance unless you know its history.1 point

As a Columbia resident, this hits home hard with me. I can't really express my feelings exactly. May God lay his hands on this young mans hurting family, and may the ones that killed him truly be punished as they should. The court system is not strong enough for them. I have custom built several Muzzleloaders (not kits) and one of the things us serious black powder shooters try to achieve is a "seasoned bore" within the barrel similar to a season cast iron skillet, so nothing sticks to the bore. It takes some shooting to achieve this and once you do, life becomes sweet! Consistent shots, less cleaning between shots and no rusting inside the bore. Cleaning then requires "WARM" soapy water and a patch or cotton swab (shotgun/cleaning swab) worked within the bore. Dry with a patch and lightly oil. Hot boiling water and a combination of a bore brush will ruin your seasoned bore. If you don't mind having to swab between every couple shots or a little rust in your bore....Hot boiling soapy water, a bore brush and lots of oil do an awesome job! Just do what works best for you and your gun. Dave1 point
