Ladies and Gentlemen, Dave has capped this run out at 40, he has people SCREAMING for his Godfathers and allocated 60 for us. Dave put all the parts away for this run, so we only have 6 more open slots, all of you who have numbers higher than 40 and other ones I have discussed are good to go, There are only 6 more knives left and I have them ALL sold on another forum for MORE money if you all do not claim them and pay for them by the 15th, of October, this run is DEFINITELY happening people :usa:5 points

but... ^^ Good guy "with a rifle". On the whole, I hate to see this, and I'm glad it wasn't worse. Carry folks - everywhere you can - no need to be a nervous freak about it (staying in orange or red), but live in yellow, calm, alert, and aware. ... and if you can help it, don't go where you cannot carry. simple enough. ... oh yeah... and train... train... train - so that you can be a help in time of need and not a liability. -if more attacks like this begin to happen, I would bet the perpetrators will be very quick to exclusively target GFZ's. - all the more reason to avoid them. I hope the owners/administrators of GFZ's get their head out of the sand. -stay safe.3 points

Well yet again I procrastinated on get my food plots put in but have decided that I'm still going to do it. A couple other TGO friends are coming out to help put in food plots and build shoot houses/blinds, tomorrow and Sunday after church. We've got about 130ac here at my parents place and it is home to the 3 longest most active rub, scrape lines that I have ever seen but I've just not had the time to devote to clearing stuff out so that I could ever get to it to hunt. On to the point of the post, This year I decided to really do the damn thing so as part of that I went and bought 3 trail cams, wanted more but, hey they ain't cheap. I put one of them out on monday and have been swapping the card out every morning and seeing doe on it every am and pm... until this morning. Last night I had 2 shooter 8 points come in, one is big and the other is really big so I decided I'd share pic of the bigger of the two just to make sure the fever has set in on everyone! Alarm set for 4am. Bow and thermacell are waiting next to my camo. I look at lunar tables but don't put a lot of faith in them. They show tomorrow hunting hours as poor but damn it will be good to be out in the woods regardless.2 points

This is the best way. I just got this sheath from Two Drunken Celts leather. Its a small blade cover sheath with a stud to keep it from sluding through the belt. You simply slide the knife behind the belt or for concealed you slide it in the waistband at about the 4 o clock postion vertically. This is one of my bowies for reference. 10.5" blade. This is one Ill be carrying often from now on.2 points

That position is a joke. Unless you have 1 or 2 items there is no way they verify your cart vs the receipt. Most times they put the highlighted mark without even looking, Sounds like someone thought they had a real job of authority and took it a bit too far.2 points

Ok guys, this has been a long time in coming but it is here now! This is a full day of empty hand skills. No crouching tiger hidden dragon silliness, just good solid old school combatives combined with some modern influence and geared toward the street not the octagon. The class is priced accordingly and there is a hefty discount for anyone who is signed up for the Zero To Five class Oct 25-26.....http://www.suarezinternationalstore....x#.VCLOI_ldUas Students don't have to be a cross fit instructor, you just have to be in good enough condition to do one of our regular pistol classes. TITLE- "Stayin' Alive" - Empty Hand Combatives in a Weapons Based Environment DATE- October 19 TIME- 10AM- 4PM CENTRAL TIME!!! LOCATION- Phillips Edwards Farm 763 County Rd 332 Pisgah Alabama 35765 (the usual place) PRICE- $100 (ONLY $50 if you are signed up for the Zero to Five October 25-26 ) Just bring check or cash to the Training Group. AMMO - 50 rounds...this class is all empty hand techniques and transitioning to weapons but there is a little live fire to tie it all together. EQUIPMENT NEEDED- Pistol , holster, Blue gun or Airsoft pistol (I do have loaners if your holster will work with a full size glock), Paintball mask or at a MINIMUM shooting glasses - getting poked in the eye sucks... OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT- mouthpiece and cup. Seriously, no one likes getting hit in the junk. A cup is a good investment . Training knife if you want to bring one. Focus pads-if you have 'em bring 'em. ANY kind of personal padding you want to bring. This is NOT an MMA class. This is NOT a traditional martial arts class. This is a combatives class based on dealing with criminal assault initially with empty hands and bridging to weapons if needed. This is an awesome primer for our Zero To Five class. The reason we are offering this is that when polled on what they want to work on the training group students say they'd like to do a combatives class. It makes sense. You cannot carry a gun everywhere...but you carry hands, feet, elbows and knees every where you go. Also you cannot just shoot everyone who hits you. And sometimes gunfights and knife fights start as fistfights and usually start before you get a weapon in hand. If all you have in the tool box is to stand and shoot ..well...good luck with that. Hope to see you there!!!!!!!1 point

Thanks, just placed an order for some 124 grain 9mm. Would have gotten some 45, but it's all gone. If it is as good as I've read here, I'll be trying to get some more.1 point

You do not have to buy the permanent $93 tag. I bought a one year tag for my utility trailer. I think it was about $22.00. Utility trailers do not require a tag in Tennessee but Travel Trailers do according to my county court clerks office.1 point

Personally I'm glad the shooter lived. Dead men tell few tales and I think some answers are in order. I know that with the current media offerings it seems we have more than enough answers; converted to Islam, trying to convert others, beheaded, etc. but call me crazy, I trust any media to accurately report about as far as I can crap anymore. We don't know squat yet and won't for a few days or even weeks. There will be plenty of time to arrange a meeting with allah for the scum, after he's answered a few questions.1 point

What honestly concerns me is that I'm afraid this is going to turn out like the publicity mass shooters get, then we're going to get a rash of copycats falling in behind. Wish they would approach this showing how vile and disgusting the act is instead of turning this guy into a rock star1 point

Panera somehow has most people fooled into thinking that it's healthier than fast food. Well, it is fast food just like the rest. Lots of it is processed at various plants, frozen, and then microwaved in the kitchen. #dangol'1 point

34 years ago, I sat on a cooler in the middle of this boat - with a William (Alf) in the front and an Evelyn in the back- both of whom I was incredibly fond. I ate sausage and biscuits while they caught endless amounts of fish. Today, I sit in the middle of this boat with a William in the front and an Evelyn in the back - both of whom I am indescribably fond. We didn't catch many fish, but we caught the most incredible moments together in a wonderfully beautiful world. Here's to you, Uncle Alf and Aunt Evelyn. "Dixie" still hauls them in after all these years. ... oh and crappie were biting on Priest today at around 17 feet... worms worked for us.1 point

That made me think of the endless hours sitting with my dad on an aluminum Jon boat. Humming trolling motor and a frozen bottom because I left my cushion in the truck. Fun times for sure.1 point

Where did this “document†come from? It doesn’t read like an FBI document, has misspellings and is full of It reads like it was written by someone that desperately wants people to believe his 9mm is as good a weapon as their .40S&W’s. Sorry, dude you still have a 9mm; but maybe you can find someone to give you a hug. You guys know don’t you that you don’t need the approval of everyone else; the only people that matter are you and those you are protecting.1 point

Concur thee airframe can take it, but the liquids need to be pressurized so they don't cavitate. That's the only problem besides spilled coffee and peanuts inside.1 point

There used to be one close to there, but apparently not anymore. Looks like the closest is Manchester, which looks like quite a drive for you. http://appleseedinfo.org/search-states-display.php?qstate=TN&statename=Tennessee Sorry, I used to be a bit involved in Appleseed, but I've been out of the loop for a while. Edit: Another thing I'd like to add... The year before the "Appleseed Project" was officially underway, a friend and I drove the home range in Ramseur, NC. That range is tremendous. A short, 25 meter range and a full 600 (?) yard range with electronic pop-up steel targets. I remember that trip fondly. If anyone has a chance to go there, I highly recommend it.1 point

Oh don't worry. If there is one thing gun companies love doing, it's stretching out chamberings from year to year so they don't have to come up with anything truely new.1 point

may want to check your costco/sam's agreement. you probably signed a contract that states that they will check your receipt when you leave the store. not allowing them to do so is a breach of that contract. not excusing any assault that may have taken place, as that's just stupid, but refusing to hold up your end of a contract is wrong.1 point

So what does an enterprising mountain man do when they need a camp axe on a budget? Well, for me I fire up the forge and make one. Wrapped and welded 5160, 3/8" thick. Made from an old leaf spring, the handle is an old busted mattock handle I had laying around, and the wedge I just forged out from scrap. Handle is about 28". Should make a nice addition to the hiking pack 1 point

That's an awesome set of pictures. When I retired from the Navy, myself and a friend rode our motorcycles back here to TN from San Diego. My ridding partner is a retired Marine. He retired from The Corps in 73, so you will understand his road name Gramps. Well is a Vietnam combat Vet. One of the first things I had to do when we got here was mow the yard. Gramps sat on the porch drinking his coffee while I mowed. I have a rice hat from Vietnam, so while I was mowing the side yard out of sight, I grabbed an SKS and slung it across my back and wore the rice hat as I road out to mow the front yard. You had never seen an old man laugh so hard. His comment after laughing was "In my two tours I never saw such a fat VC". LOL I wish photos had been taken.1 point
