1. I got to fly with my grandfather back in 2003. He had a bunch of combat missions in one as a pilot over Europe, and then flew hundreds of missions in an H model dropping life boats over the Pacific. He was 83 years old and on a walker due to breaking his hip, but the evening before was commenting on whether or not we'd have to pull ourselves up through the hatch like they did when they had a full load. The next morning, that plane pulled onto the tarmac at John C. Tune with its Pratt and Whitneys roaring in all their glory. He tossed his walker to the side and walked up to that plane like he was 20 again. The pilots were as honored to have him on board as he was to be there. They put the navigator's chair down and a space for him in the cockpit. On the taxi out and takeoff roll you could see his head and the pilot's turning in sync as they both went through preflight checks. To the day I die, that will be one of my most cherished memories.

 2. The fact is that the school system can neither condone nor repress student prayer... They cannot initiate it, nor (...i think...) participate in it, lest it give the appearance of endorsement... The fact is that the cheerleaders can, indeed, pray and so can any or all of the students... It's the First Amendment in action and it has already been ruled on...   The Tennessee ACLU well knows that and they are just tryin to bully the school; and they can, the administrators, that is... They can't stop student lead prayer and they well know it...   As some other folks have said very well, those who are against this sort of thing are just tryin to bully and scare a bunch of kids; which, by the way, is against the law... What these idiots and bullys are tryin to do is nothin less than what the Nite Riders did after the civil war...   These sons and daughters of satan need to leave these kids alone before someone catches them doin some of this "intimidatin" and gives them exactly what they are askin for...   These folks are guilty, at the mininum of assault, which is a legal matter.... They also are guilty of tryin to push around someone's precious child; which is another matter all together... Oneida aint Nashville, and the indigenous natives may well take this matter very seriously themselves in a vigilantte way; and im perfectly ok with that... If there were more beatings for saying and doing stupid things, there would be less stupid actions....   As to you 'uncommitted' and unprayin folks; if these sons of b***es can make a bunch of kids quit praying thru intimidation; what makes you think they can't do the same to you...?   Our prayers are with you Oneida Cheerleaders, Students, and Families.... So are our shillelagh's too...  Ya that aint into prayin; just bring the shillelagh's...   leroy

 4. A friend of mine had a custom made knife that his father gave to him years ago and this past hunting season I ended up using it a few times and really liked most aspects of it. I am fairly ignorant when it comes to knife making lingo but did my best to convey what I wanted and between that and a sketch he hit the nail on the head. If anyone wants a beautiful handmade knife do not hesitate to contact Grand Torino. here's a few pictures.

 6. What tickles me is that non-believers get so upset about a simple prayer. If they don't believe what are they afraid of? No one is forcing them to pray in any form or fashion. What is so wrong in respecting the rights of others? No one should be forced to do anything religious against their will....I firmly believe that. But can't they be quiet for a few seconds...check the sports scores or headlines on their phones or even play one of the stupid on line games?

 8. So what does an enterprising mountain man do when they need a camp axe on a budget? Well, for me I fire up the forge and make one. Wrapped and welded 5160, 3/8" thick. Made from an old leaf spring, the handle is an old busted mattock handle I had laying around, and the wedge I just forged out from scrap. Handle is about 28". Should make a nice addition to the hiking pack

 10. You who keep talking about an "establishment clause" are looking at this all wrong in my opinion.   If you want to talk about an "establishment clause", how is saying a prayer in public forcing anything down someone's throat any more than attempting to silence that person?   Can't we call atheism a religion? If so, wouldn't preventing the free expression of one's chosen religion actually be promoting a "state sponsored" religion called atheism?   While we're at it, look over your kids' homework at all the "state sponsored" religion spouted in the name of the "Global Warming" religion.

 11.   I see.... How's come the cheerleaders say this:   Sounds ta me like one bunch is sayin one thing and another is sayin another...It's another case of long nosed management of the business of others; along with a good dose of confusion and "we said, they said"... If the ACLU thinks the principal initiated the prayer, they can sue the school system; which i think is ignorant, because they have already aquiesced to the ACLU demand....   The school system can take action against the principal, which i think is political suicide...   The only thing that can't be stopped is the student lead prayer...If the ACLU goes after the cheerleaders as "bonifide agents of the school", i think there are plenty of first amendment (...christian and secular....) law folks that would take this one pro bono...   We'll see what the meddlin busybodies of the Tennessee ACLU decide to do on this one... I say, it's another case of jhadists not being able to go to sleep at nite without mindin someone else's business and shapin some remote part of the world in their sickening image...   leroy

 12.   Try to keep that in mind when your gun rights are attacked by anti's who want to ban the 2nd amendment. After all, since they don't like guns they must know what's best, right? I wonder if the people that are so anti prayer will get in line & cower as easily when their gun rights are taken. Blame it on the "establishment"? Liberal is as liberal does. The begginig of socialism is taking away the freedom of speech, religion, & arms. Some seem to desperately want the first two already. Are you going to give up you firearms now too? You don't have to follow my prayers & it's your right to believe or not believe in whatever you want, but it's an absolute wrong to try to take it away from those of us that do believe & have faith in God. For some reason athiests seem scared of any form of religion. I know the pricipal, many of the teachers, & many of the students & their families personally & you can trust me when I tell you there's not some dark secret conspiracy to take over or to "pimp shine" (your words Hershmeister ) to get another contract renewal. You have nothing to fear. These are simple people trying to live their simple lives in peace & freedom the best way they can.

 15. Where are we getting the data that the principal or the school sports announcer "instituted this action (...the prayer...)"...?  I've searched the reports and i've found that Kevin Acres is the announcer, and that Kevin Byrd is the principal....?  The way i read things; Kevin Acres (...the football announcer...) was told not do do a prayer per the instructions of the school system... He didnt... He called for a moment of silence; then the cheerleaders started the prayer...   The school complied with the demand not to "endorse" religion or prayer... The cheerleaders started the prayer... That, fellow opiners, is student lead prayer... It is, in fact, protected speech under the First Amendment....   Check this out;   http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2014/09/oneida-cheerleaders-give-a-poke-in-the-eye-to-prayer-ban-3032332.html Here is another account that says the same thing:  http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/great-cheerleaders-take-bold-stand-football-games-moment-silence/ Here's another one:  http://www.local12.com/news/features/around-the-web/stories/tenn-cheerleaders-defy-prayer-ban-recite-lords-prayer-wkrc.shtml#.VB4HOPldWSo   Here is the obligatory letter sent from the TN ACLU that started all this; http://www.aclu-tn.org/release100413.html   While im on the subject; i lifted this from the Tennessee ACLU website:   http://www.aclu-tn.org/release101911.html   I dont know about you, but it looks ta me like the defenders of liberty at the Tennessee ACLU are doin a bit of pickin and choosin about who's rights they endorse... Somehow, that doesnt suprize me, and it shouldn't surprize you either...     leroy

 18. LOL, isn't that the truth.   When I first got to Bosnia our company commander told us we had to wear camouflage on our face. We also were no allowed to roll up our sleeves and expose our skin because it wasn't tactical. Then they told us we had to wear reflective vests when out of our vehicles so the cars and cow carts would not hit us.   I have no problem with the clothing or equipment that LE uses providing you can tell they are LE and which LE agency. Too many officers, especially in situations like this, are tight lipped about who they work for making it hard to hold people accountable if something goes wrong.   Another HUGE problem I have is in situations like this it seems like the rights of law abiding citizens are often suspended along with the suspects. Like in Boston, having LE clear you of your own home against your will is wrong. I have serious reservations about ANYONE being in my home without me being right there with them.

 19. We have to shed light on this kind of ignorance, or our country and way of life is surely lost.   How so is having a prayer before a high school football game a violation of anything?   Tennessee's constitution has no such clause, and I doubt seriously Scott county does either.   In respect to religion, the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution prohibits the Federal Government from legally establishing a religion. THAT IS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF IT!!!!!   If you'll study a bit of history, our founding fathers had no problem with States having an official religion.

 21. I hope you are right, but it sounds like the school administration has been forced into submission. The ACLU and other groups will attack anything that stands up for morals and against the breakdown of society and the family unit. They have fought against prayer in schools for decades, but now are fighting for allowing Muslims to pray in school. So that tells you where they stand. If the cheerleaders, the players, or the students want to have a prayer; so be it. Either participate or sit and be quiet. I fail to see why this would be an issue for the heathens or the atheists, unless it makes them feel bad about themselves. Attempting to crush Christianity isn’t the answer. Again, before anyone starts yelling “separation of church and state” do your history research. It was not an attempt to ban religion from the government.   Congress may not be making a law, but the intent of the first amendment clear. Government (the school board) is violating the first amendment rights of those students if they try to stop prayer. I hope you stand together and tell the ACLU to go pound sand.

 33.   There is no such thing as a simple prayer when it comes from someone in any position of authority.  When a paid employee of government- the school principal in this case- is the one asking (read ordering) students to pray, the establishment clause is broken because a representative of a government has made his religion of choice the position of their institution.  Even when someone isn't forced to actually pray, they force to partake in the process by simply being there.    Honestly, if you need a comparison as to how this feels, be in the crowd as a group prayer from a religion other than yours is conducted by someone in control of the event.  Having spent years of my life living in a Muslim country that had an official religion, I know this unease from different angles.  But that part of the world doesn't have an establishment clause, so I had to endure it.  I expect better in America.    I respect the rights of any individual to pray how they please, or not to pray.  I know religion is a very personal and important aspect of many peoples lives.  But nobody in a position of public office has the right to invoke their religious beliefs in any way during the performance of their duties.  Prayer belongs in places of worship, in the home, in private groups of like believers, but not in the public sphere as directed by a governmental official.

 35.   I can get on board with that.  I think he might be in some grey area as an administrator, so "asking" may be interpreted at "ordering".  I still don't have a problem with it being conducted, and the ACLU has no purpose here unless there are kids being forced to participate in religious activities against their will.  If a bunch of kids in the band whip out prayer rugs and start praying towards Mecca, I wouldn't feel uncomfortable or excluded.  That's their thing.  Folks just need to chill and not be so offended by other people expressing their beliefs.

 36.   The pricipal didn't force anything on anybody. What the articles failed to mention is the cheerleaders & members of the school body went to the pricipal & told them they were upset about prayer being banned & they were told they could say the prayer during the moment of silence if they wanted to, so yes, even though you may doubt, it was the cheeleaders' idea. The "establishment" was trying not to infringe on the rights of the student body & nobody was asked to pray with them.   I notice how qickly athiests will support banning free people from talking to God, as if it hurts them in some way, but if those athiests are gun owners they get upset when others try to do the exact same thing with their gun rights. I won't force any religion down anyone's throat, but I won't let anyone stop me from having faith in God.

 37. since you asked,   prayer has no place in a public forum.     You can pray to your god, I can pray or not pray as I see see fit.  Do it in private.  I am not educated in the bible, but isn't there something in there about not being public in showing you faith?  Maybe I did not word it right, but if it is true you you still get my gist.    I went to a private Catholic high school.  I do not recall prayers over the PA before sporting events.     I do not go along with any threats of violence for much of any reason.   You believe in the man in the sky, I don't.  My belief should not be forced on you, nor your's on me.     Can't we all get along?

His down to earth ways combined with his fantastic shooting skills makes most other youtube shooting videos pale in comparison. Hickok's personal range full of reactive targets and colorful soda cans begging to be shot sure looks like great fun! Target practice restricted to just paper targets can (for me) get to be a little mind numbing if done too often.

 44. No. Gender in the traditional, literal sense refers to a person's physical anatomy, how they were born, either male or female. Psychological variants in their mental or emotional state might result in them acting homosexual, bisexual, trans-gender, or even zoophilic instead of the most common heterosexual behavior, but this doesn't change their gender. Even gender surgery doesn't fully change their gender, it just leaves them in a mutant form of their original gender. Of course the liberal and politically correct folks will argue that gender is based on your emotions, preferences, etc. and can be changed or declared at will. I prefer to stick with the physical and biblical definitions.

 46.   The AK ones sure seem to, but firing one of the original SlideFire stocks that my uncle has, I was able to keep it on target just fine.  The cyclic is probably 100rpm slower than an M4 on full auto (if I had to guess) and it makes it much more manageable.  Kinda like the slow cycle on a M45/Swedish K on full auto versus an MP5.  As for the video, they put a 100 pound girl in yoga pants who can't even hold the rifle properly to demonstrate their product.  If they wanted to show how it could be accurately fired with stability, they would have put a dude on there.   I feel pretty insulted by that marketing ploy.  If we're going to objectify women to sell men products, at least put them in something low cut so we can see their boobs jiggle.
