  1. Many women will repress the memories of the abuse and therefore are not "aware" of it having happened to them. Unfortunately, the memories will re-surface later in life around their mid-thirties. My wife was abused by her paternal grandfather which she did not repress, but she will never tell her father out of fear of hurting him. Her grandfather died before I met her, so there's really no good that can come out of telling her father. I did convince her to tell her mother.   There are many reasons females keep quiet is the main point. My oldest daughter, for instance, was raped at a sleep-over when she was eleven years old. This happened while I was a police officer on-duty and in the town that I policed. She didn't tell me until many years later because she was afraid that I would have killed the 15-year old boy had I known, and that I would have gone to prison causing her to lose a father in the process. This is silly, because I surely wouldn't have been caught.

  2. let me sum this up so far.   Hayden accused of messing with young daughter.   Board sort of outraged and rushing to his defense.   He surely is innocent.   A couple of people post on facebook.   He is surely guilty.   Gotta love this place.  :)

  4. A woman calls the police late one night to report people in her shed stealing things. The dispatcher explains that they are very busy and there's no squad car in the area, but that they'll send someone over as soon as possible.  She hangs up and calls back a minute later to say: "You don't have to hurry now, because I shot them." Within a matter of minutes 6 squad cars, a dozen officers, a K-9 unit, plus helicopters and an armed response unit show up at her house and happen to catch the burglars red-handed. The officer in charge says to the woman: "I thought you said you'd shot them." She replies: "I thought you said you didn't have anyone available."

  5. My friend woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of his truck driving out his driveway. He called 911. The lady on the phone told hime he'd need to call the sherrif's dispatch. He looked up the number, called, and the same lady answered. He didn't think it was funny, but it sort of tickled me.

  6. A nice little skinner with micarta scales and lime green liners as per the customers request. I'm sure it will serve him well. The light and dark colors on the scales are due to the fact I had just oiled in and it wasn't completely dry when I took the pictures. 8.   Aha, he's back up.   Looking at his list of chain of events regarding this charge, I see the hearing I've been mentioning was actually indeed after the preliminary hearing, and he wasn't actually indicted and arraigned until May of this year, wow.     I've said in the past that I don't think looking for the pay day has really been his primary focus all along. I think the guy really is pathological, some kind of Spartacus/Sacrificial Gun Christ complex.   - OS

  9. I hate idiots talking on their phones and driving, because they aren't focused on driving. Some moron turned right on me coming from the opposite direction yesterday when I had the left turn arrow, but that didn't matter to him as he almost hit me. Then he started flipping me off at the next light. And some people say that no one should have a gun. This imbecile shouldn't have a vehicle.

  11. I do get a kick out of people losing their minds in my rearview. Riding my bumper and screaming out their window like an ahole will not motivate me to break the law and drive at an unsafe speed. It will, however, motivate me to drive a whole lot slower. I had one not too long ago do this on a 35 mph side road. Nowhere to pull off because of no shoulder and a steel ditch. They were practically touching my bumper even though I was going 5 over the speed limit. I just stopped right there. If someone is in that big a hurry they can go around, but I'm not gonna have someone ram my vehicle while I'm moving. Of course, this guy was so close to me that when I stopped he didn't have enough room to get around without having to back up. Made for a whole scene. Funny that he would have gotten to where he was going faster if he just acted like a human being rather than a child throwing a tantrum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Ha, reminds me of a domestic incident that occurred with a violent male neighbor of mine and my wife (while she was 4 months pregnant). She calls me at work crying uncontrollably saying that she has locked herself in the bedroom with the shotgun. I'm screaming across town back home and call 911. Told them the situation. They said they'd get someone out there "soon". I told them they'd better get there before I do. They did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13.   Which is why I said I don't really blame the cops so much -- however, the judge at first one of the early hearings wouldn't even accept admission of his NFA documents ... that's where would seem the clear liability would begin, and the scores really change.   - OS

  15. They clearly arrested and charged him with a crime he never committed. As a result, he lost his job, his home, and who knows what else. It's not like there was gray area that needed the assistance of the Supreme Court to decipher. There's no way the police or DA couldn't have made a 2 minute phone call to the BATFE to find out whether or no he was breaking the law. I believe, once they realized who he was, they were going to show him who was boss. That's not the job of law enforcement. Like most members of TGO, I'm not a fan of his. But I definitely don't like the thought of being arrested for doing something that others don't like or aren't comfortable with. Allowing that to happen creates a slippery slope. With that being said, I don't see him and his antics helping those of us who enjoy the already restricted firearms laws in any way. I wish he would stop.

  16. Me and my son were going down hwy 11 heading to work yesterday and my check engine light started flashing and I suddenly had a massive misfire issue (coil wire burned) and the truck lost power and started making all sorts of fun movements and noise lol. I had only about a 2 mile to go and there was not really anywhere to pull fully off the road so I just chugged along at 35 to 40 in a 45 zone and a nice vehicle suddenly decided he needed to be a foot off my bumper and laying down on the horn for about 100 yards till we reached the red light. I got in the turn lane to get off the main road and take a side street. The guy gets in the lane behind me and starts leaning out his window screaming and gesturing and threatening me a good ass whippen and to get out of my truck loud enough the car next to us was looking back at him fearfully. I spent more time watching the mirrors then the road at the light. He was grabbing the steering wheel and shaking his entire vehicle at one point. Light turns green and he's all over the lane behind me yelling and screaming, granted I wasn't at full power but I wasn't going slow. I could hear him screaming to pull over so he could whip my ass. I made a turn off into work about 50 feet later and he's screaming out the window again as I'm slowing down to turn then speeds off. Dang some people are stressed out easy.

  18. There's a new gunshop opening in Fairview. It's called "The Green Dragon". Peeking through the window I see shelves full of goodies including reloading stuff. It's literally less than a 2 minute walk away. If I cut through the neighbors yard, I could probably do it in a minute flat. Sign says opening soon. Needless to say, I'll be down there trying to sell them on signing up to be a vendor here. Exciting!

  25.   For the record, she wasn't on the phone at all.  She just tried to occupy the same space as me by changing lanes while slowing for a traffic light.  I was literally right beside her door.  My peg/boot left a mark in her door as she pushed me over.  It's a good thing there's space between lanes for a motorcycle as a big Ford truck was in the other lane.  When I inquired as to her ability to see, she gave me the finger.

  26. I hate people on the phone too. Anyone who rides a motorcycle knows what I am talking about. If someone almost kills me while I am on my bike, there is a better than 95% they have their cell phone plastered to the side of their face, or worse yet, are texting while driving down the interstate. It should be legal to mount photon torpedoes to the front of your vehicle for these people.

I get it, I think he is a piece dogshit too, it is still wrong to use the government as a weapon against him. Even though I don't believe in what he is doing and won't stand with him, I will stand against what the government did here every single time. If they can maliciously prosecute him, what's to stop them from maliciously prosecuting anyone else? It disappoints me that you would let personal animus cause you to chuck things like the rule of law over the port.

Then there's folks like Michael Moore, though.   - OS

  38. First, folks are reading this opinion the wrong way...  The motion to dismiss seems to be the first motion this judge ruled on...  While the judge chooses to add a lot of color commentary to the opinion... none of that matters...  All that matters was he dismissed the case..  and that is a good thing.     Keep in mind a lot of other issues were not covered by this order...  They never considered a motion over the search of the locked container...  Over the probable cause on whether the rifle was loaded, and even if it was load was Leonard in violation of the law...  The specific probable cause to believe the silencer was illegal to begin with...     If he survives summary judgement of a 1983 lawsuit...  he's likely to have a field day with MNPD and TDOS as part of the discovery process...  What people knew and when did they know it will become a key point I suspect...  all sorts of interesting facts could come out that might embarrass those 2 departments.   He can show real damages this time, loss of his business, and loss of his job...     I see MNPD having some issues:   1.  The search was likely unconstitutional under current case law, locked case, they had control of it, and still ripped it open to get a look inside before having a warrant...  they're on record saying they did that to verify if the weapon was loaded or not...  I don't see how they fit into a valid exigent circumstance to perform the search...  If found to have been an unlawful search, the arrest is likely in question to begin with.   2. The contention that he was a threat...  We've all seen video tape of news reporters walking up to Leonard between the 2nd and 3rd stops that day...  and having significant conversation/interview with the news...  The police appear to have testified they were aware of this interaction and used that as an excuse to stop him a 3rd and final time...  Not sure how they're going to be able to reasonably say he was threaten when a news crew felt comfortable enough to approach him on a sidewalk, and have a 5+ minute chat with him...  I'm also curious what type of information maybe found during discovery...  if there is even a HINT that they stopped him a third time because he was talking to reporters...  that may open the department up to a bigger lawsuit.  I'm a little surprised that angle wasn't pushed even more during the testimony over the motion to dismiss, it seems the officer opened himself up to the line of questioning by mentioning the press as a reason for greater alarm.   3. The handing out of literature may well give rise to a possible prior restraint violation...    Leonard is an idiot...  he's IMHO not a very good lawsuit fisherman...    But at the end of the day it's likely that MNPD and possibly TDOS violated his rights that day...  the video and audio evidence in any civil case is going to make it hard for officers to prove he was a threat to them or anybody else...  he wasn't abusive to them, he was handing out 2nd amendment literature, and stated that was his intent for being dressed the way he was and carrying the rifle case...  Since TDOS clearly knew who he was at the 2nd stop...  and one can assume they knew he had a history of shall we say legally exercising his 2nd amendment rights...  it's going to be hard to prove everything after they became aware of that fact is going to be lawful...   IMHO he shouldn't have a problem finding a good attorney to take this case...  minimum it's got to be worth 50-100k and if they survive summary judgement at the federal level, it's likely to be worth over a million.

  39. I try to never be on my phone while I'm driving. If an important call comes in I'll get it but try to get off again as soon as I can. For me it's not entirely a safety issue for me as I'm quite capable of walking and chewing gum, or driving and talking as the case may be. For me it's the same reason I won't typically drive after having a beer unless I wait several hours, in the event of an accident, I don't want anything held against me that likely didn't contribute significantly to said accident just because they are known factors in other accidents. I'm honestly fairly contemptuous of those who can't drive and talk, I don't get what the issue is. (I know the issues, just don't understand how they're problems for some people) Texting is a whole different ball game though IMO. I've never been fond of my bike riding buddies doling out street justice on side mirrors, but for texting dip sticks, I could look the other way.

  41. I just posted this exact same thing in another thread, but by golly it just fits in both spots.     I had a road rage incident once, told the dispatcher that I was stopping my car because I had reached my destination, that I was armed, and as I had a small child with me, I was in fear for her life.   They had a cruiser there before I found a parking spot.           The gist of it was some cat talking on his phone, I pass him in a passing lane. Not a two lane, a three lane truck lane passing lane. Ten minutes later he decides he wants to help push me down the road for a good ten miles. So when he finally got the chance to pass me, I gave him a little toot of my horn, as he nearly hit me, the car next to us and me again as he cut back over. He gunned it down the road, pulled over and stood on the side of the road like an angry baboon who had stepped on a beehive. So my daughter and I continued on our way. He then decided to follow me, weaving in and out of traffic, laying on the horn and screaming words that my daughter only hears when her mother is playing video games.    I did the logical thing and grabbed one of my cells and called the police. Told them where I was, what I was driving, where he was, what he was driving and where I was going. Like I mentioned above, I informed them I was armed, and sure enough, there was a cruiser there waiting when we got there. The guy went speeding off and well, I never heard anything about it again.

  43. nothing wrong with buying a single stage press to stay in tune with each cycle before mass production begins.  when reloading, things more important than speed are: facial conservation, phalange retention, firearm preservation.  any of those can be in jeopardy with box ammunition as well,  which is one reason some folks reload. won't be up for long.  please support those you found useful. most are unobtainable these days.   https://www.mediafire.com/folder/0mgupkamfcjrjq9,istmap2f3gdzz8f,p03ltdeyp5htmqm,istmap2f3gdzz8f,yfekgazbinpddt5,6hebccl57hufqib,rz2g5raah15ccc7,2w6h4up6b7cytdl,c6ys8acq6acbgbs/shared a few more added

  44.   I don't think the "stopping" him part is the issue. People are stopped and questioned frequently, they just aren't supposed to be arrested, let alone prosecuted for a year unless they broke a law. I don't blame the cops nearly as much as the DA and judge, though.   - OS

  45. I would agree with you 100% on the bolded portion. Yet it is precisely because of that Metro needs to be sanctioned harshly. The reason is that they knew who he was and their actions were different because of that. It is a clear cut case of a selective and malicious application of the law against someone who was a disfavored person. Is he a douchebag and a giant pain in the ass? Abso-friggin-lutely. That does not grant the police the right to treat him any differently than anyone else or to maliciously pursue charges against him for a crime he did not commit. The cops & the DA don't get to prosecute someone to "teach them a lesson" as this case so clearly appears to be.  I don't live in Nashville and I am pissed at Metro because the assholes are making me have to defend that douchenozzle. Do you know how ####ing much that annoys the #### out of me?When dealing with a dickhead, don't act in such a manner as to put the dickhead in the right.
