One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the road-side eating grass. Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and got out to investigate. He asked one man, "Why are you eating grass?" "We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat grass." "Well, then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you," the lawyer said. "But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree." "Bring them along," the lawyer replied. Turning to the other poor man he stated, "You may come with us, also." The second man, in a pitiful voice, then said, "But sir, I also have a wife and six children with me!" "Bring them all as well," the lawyer answered. They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine. Once under way, one of the poor fellows turned to the lawyer and said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you.†The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place. The grass is almost a foot high."5 points

The M1 Garand. I will post pics asap, but here are a few little details. It's a 964xxx serial number Springfield receiver. Has a VAR barrel. All the other parts are SA stamped. Came with original stock with the cartouche, but the stock fitted to it is one the previous owner bought and kinda refinished a bit. I like it. I also came out with 60 clipped rounds of black tip armor piercing and 16 clipped rounds of M2 ball.4 points

I will say it, I hope they go in locked and loaded. Guns a blazin'. Bring the Marine home! We trade terrorist's for a guy but stand by and do nothing for a Marine in a Mexican jail. As another famous Marine once said, "shame, shame, shame"3 points

So I'll bring this thread back from the dead... Mine is finally done. Well, sort of. :) Took rather a while to collect all the pieces, but I'm glad I was picky and got exactly what I wanted. TGO CMT billet lower PSA LPK PSA 16" midlength complete upper, BCG and charging handle included Magpul MOE handguard (bought from someone here) PSA flip-up rear sight Cavalry Arms C1 fixed stock Primary Arms red dot and mount (bought from someone here) This is my first AR. :woohoo: Building it was pretty darn easy. I just followed the videos that OS posted and while I did sent a detent flying once or twice, thankfully it didn't go far. The storage compartment in the stock is cavernous! I can easily fit two 10 rd stripper clips in it. I think I could squeeze 3 in there if I really wanted to. I plan to get a Hogue pistol grip for it and when I swap that, I'll put the correct selector detent spring in this time (oops... ) and adjust the set screw to snug up the fit between the lower and upper. Thanks to all who posted the many helpful hints on how to build it. :hat: When I did the big unveiling for my wife.... she said, "Cool! When do I get to shoot it?" Right after I do, dear. Right after I do. :)3 points

They probably named it after him because it wasn't a road that was needed, It cost three times what it should have to build, and the contract was given to a foreign company, who hired illegal immigrants.3 points

Weed will get you through times of no gun better than a gun will get you through time of no weed. ( blatant ripoff and misuse of a slogan from Freaky Freddie) It is absolutely ridiculous that weed is illegal. And it being illegal only boils down to the man wanting to keep his foot on our necks.2 points

I am curious to see how this plays out. I admire their courage but I fear this won't end well for them.2 points

I never ask. If it's posted, I go back to the car and secure the weapon. If it's not posted, then I'm good to go.2 points

Go buy a youth stock. Much easier and you will probably end up buying another stock anyways when you can get a but toad to fit correctly.2 points

Actually, once you go through several years of AYSO and 3 years of middle school soccer, you get used to the rules and enjoy the game! I'm watching Columbia and Greece right now on ABC. It's far superior to baseball! :)2 points

Kudos and thanks to HvBikeWlTravel for the 8 rounds of live ammo, and the 7 empty brass pieces of 7-30 Waters! The 7-30 Waters is not a round that you'll likely find stocked on the shelves of your local Wally World. I have dies to reload the round with, and HvBikeWlTravel had the empty brass and live rounds that he no longer had any use for. So, he re-cycled it over to me free gratis, which I very much appreciate. TGO guys and gals are the best!2 points

Well I will say this, I'm glad that someone who goes and really wants to buy a new .22 will have the chance to get ammo too. For a long time that was impossible.2 points

Nothing really wrong with Armslist. I've been know to look there myself. The only drawback I see is that you don't have the capability of possibly knowing, at least by reputation and postings here, the person listing.2 points

FYI, here are PMags for $8.77. The deal above is also good though and the shipping is probably cheaper than the one I'm linking. http://www.ammunitiondepot.com/Magpul-PMAG-30-Round-Polymer-AR-15-Magazine-5-56-p/pmag571blk.htm1 point

A Rock Island FS-Tactical 9 mm has everything but the night sights. I paid about $500 with tax and background check for mine. Night sights and grips are the only changes this pistol will ever see.1 point
Soccer needs some rule changes to appeal to the American crowd. 1. Higher scores. Do something about that. Americans want scores like, 42-28. 2. Get rid of the off-sides rule. Let these guys play wherever they want on the field. Let the offense park a guy near the goal at any time. Will help #1 above. 3. Make the goal bigger. See #1 4. Allow more contact. That will eliminate the falling down and crying to try and draw a foul. 5. Get rid of those stupid horns in the stadium! That's all I have to say about that.
They do it's called rugby. JTM We the People of the United States, in order to form a more Perfect Union......1 point

I learned my lesson. Never ask for support in the TGO forums. A simple question gets turned into an all out war between members. No one is safe.1 point

You can also use the same stock for installing a collapsible AR stock on the shotgun but use a pistol buffer tube or remove the tube completely. A Knox recoil reducing stock with the stock removed would probably work well also. And any muzzle device must be permanently attached to be included in overall length measurements. But you must be absolutely, 100% positive that the shotgun left the factory without a shoulder stock installed. The ONLY way to ensure that is to buy brand new. If you buy used and it was a "shotgun" originally from the factory and you have a barrel less than 18", regardless of overall length, you are in possession of a illegal SBS unless registered. This was all hashed out by Len Savage with several letters written to the ATF. Here are the letters: http://www.nfaoa.org/documents/PistolGrippedShotgunLike.pdf http://www.nfaoa.org/documents/testttt20001.pdf The second link actually has the picture of an "shotgun" with a barrel of less than 17" that the ATF said was NOT an NFA item. That is unless it was hidden on your person. The ATF have a long standing rule that if a "firearm" is concealed on your person it becomes an AOW. So although it is legal it is also illegal to conceal it on your person without being registered as an AOW. The shoulder stock is what defines a "shotgun". To be classified as a "shotgun" it must have left the factory with a shoulder stock, if not then it does not meet the definition of a "shotgun". And because it doesn't meet the definitions for a shotgun, rifle or a handgun the default definition is "firearm". And the only requirement for a gun that meets the definition of "firearm" is it must be at least 26" long. And you can also add a vertical fore grip when it is a "firearm" as well. And with the SIG brace being so popular it also begs the question that if you add it to a "firearm" (shotgun) that has a pistol buffer tube does it change its status from "firearm" to something else. I will not comment on that subject for legal reasons but I have my ideas. Anyone else want to write that letter? How cool would it be to have a 12 gauge "firearm" with a 14" barrel and a Sig brace. Definitely something that would be fun but without a letter from the ATF I would be afraid LE would go crazy when they seen it.1 point

This makes me think there was a bit of water remaining in a couple of the cases. I've cleaned cases in detergent before and it can be surprisingly difficult to get them completely dry inside. Especially if the used primer was still in. On top of that, the suspect primers had enough energy to stick the bullet in the bore, but didn't ignite the powder. I bet the powder was wet.1 point

My dad lived downstairs from a guy who worked 3rd shift when he was about 20. His wife would vacuum the floor at about 2AM every morning, a couple hours after the guy left for work. My dad asked her to please wait until shortly before dude came home and she basically told him to shove it. He then asked the husband to talk with her and received much the same response. So one day he waited for Mr. Personality to get home, gave him about 30 minutes to wind down, get in bed, etc., then placed his speakers on top of a book shelf just below the ceiling, cranked the volume to 11, and went to work. Problem solved.1 point

Can't help you with the 9MM but the 380 Thunders are great and I own 3 or them and it is my primary carry gun. I don't think you will be disappointing because Bersa builds great weapons as far as i know. I'm sure you will get some replies to the 9mm's soon.1 point
