  2. http://www.thestreet.com/story/12712489/1/the-10-dumbest-states-in-america.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO   So we are dumb because fewer people have Bachelors degrees than in places like NY and CA... I think most of us would much rather live next to someone that knows how to run a tractor and pull a trigger than one who puts their grocery shopping lists in APA 6th ed. format.   I say we try and work our way up to #1 on that list by 2016.

  6. I always wanted a true HK G3, but is been always out of my price range. I finally went and got a PTR, only thing I dont like about it its the paratrooper model, so it has a 16" barrel vs a normal 18" barrel. But now I have two battle rifles with only the M14 left on the to do list. I am already dreading the ammo prices. But I am so happy!

  7. It was kind of stiff at first, but after opening and closing it all day, it's smoothing out and deploying the blades faster now. Loving it so far! Can't keep my hands off of it!

  8. This may sound odd, but are there any Amish communities near you? If so, I would highly suggest paying them a visit. I picked up a pair of 2" & 1.5" wide handmade belts made from 11 oz. bullhide for only $22 each & they're just as nice as any $80-$100 belts I've looked at in outdoor shops or online. The 1.5" is plain & the 2" has a nice basket weave pattern & both came with heavy duty buckles. I've been wearing the 2" belt for a year now & it's still stiff as the day I bought it. I bought mine at "Muddy Pond" near Crossville. You can't beat the quality.

  9. I have three beltman belts. They are great. I have a brown one and a black one I keep nice, and a brown one that I've worn everyday for seven years. The beltman is good to go.

  10.   It's a goof poking fun at people who break in barrels by firing one shot, cleaning and scrubbing the bore, firing another shot then cleaning and scrubbing the bore and so on and so forth until some arbitrarily defined iterations is achieved.

  13. I have been hearing about more shootings recently and just hoping it is a long full moon thing and goes away soon. I also noticed that they seem to be just random shootings and not a single target like a dispute or drug deal or even home invasions. Just mostly random.........................

  14. I was thinking the exact same thing watching the news tonight.  The real problem is that I don't think there is any way to fix it.  The people doing this have no issue with just randomly shooting at people and know they will probably be shot themselves at some point.  It's too late to educate most of these morons.  All you can do is hope that they stick to killing more morons and leave the innocent people out of it.

  17. Looking good ! ....... "After using the bastard and double cut files and sanding with 80 grit I set the blade up on my handle 2X4 and start sanding lengthwise to flatten the blade and even things up. First I sand with 120 grit until the scratches from the 80 are gone the repeat the process with 220 grit. This is as far as I'll take it before it goes to heat treat." Set up before sanding.... After sanding down to 220.

  23. Your mother and your family will be remembered in my prayers. God Bless and Keep you in His care through this all. A father is almost always the leader of the family, but a mother is the core...the glue that holds everyone together. So you all must hold together now for her to honor all that she has been for you.

  25. Everything they said.... screw extractor, slot it with a dremel, impact driver, drill the head out, penetrating oil... all of those work.     But there's the trick....   Japanese cars don't use normal Phillips head screws, they use JIS spec screws.  A standard Phillips head screwdriver doesn't fit them properly which results in stripped heads.  You need a set of JIS spec screwdrivers.  I've learned that many times while working on Japanese motorcycles.   http://www.amazon.com/Hozan-JIS-4-JIS-Screwdriver-3rd/dp/B00A7WAHTU

  33. Black Snake, Blue racer, known by several names but harmless ad don't worry. That egg won't be an issue for it once it gets it far enough down to constrict in and it will pop like a light bulb when dropped. They eat rodents, eggs and will actually kill venomous snakes and eat them to. Use to see them kill copperheads on our Ranch while growing years ago...........

  39.   I lived in Texas for 4 years while going to college.  My eyes were opened to whole new type of barbecue.  One of my buddies turned me on to this little hole in the wall joint.  Sliced brisket sandwiches with a fishbowl of beer for $3.25.  That was some good brisket.

  40. We have two dogs, a pitbull named Lilly and our Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog named Gus. Lilly is the best dog in the world, loves to snuggle and she definitely is a girl. Gus on the other hand is a rough and tumble boy that is always trying to show us who is boss. She is 6+ years old and weighs in at 50-55 pounds while he is 6 months and weighs in a 65+ pounds at the moment. He is expected to get to at least 90 pounds. We recently lost our Boxer Ernie and needed another "large" dog to replace him because we live in a remote area. So far we have been working with him and I think he will make a great protector of his mother, my wife. Here is Lilly sleeping on my lap: And here she is in trouble for not listening to her daddy: Took what seemed like forever to get rid of the smell but after several baths consisting of Dawn, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda she was again huggable. And here are some photos of our Alapaha bulldog Gus. This one is when he either just woke up or on the way to sleep. His color is a chocolate merle color. This picture of him at the vet is a good picture of what his coat looks like. He also has marble eys which are blue and golden. His eyes can stare right through your soul. Here is Gus having his manhood questioned: And here is a picture of Gus when we got him. I could not imagine a dog being more cute than he was. And here is a picture of the two of them laying together:

  48. I'm of the mindset that if I'm going to be in control of a loaded weapon... Its going to be fully loaded, that way there is never a question of training and practice for weapon manipulation faced with an immediate threat. One in the chamber for carry/hd pistols, one in the chamber for the hd shotgun, one in the chamber for the hd rifle. Consistency is key, whatever you choose, ALWAYS do it that way. If you don't, you won't remember in a fight. Lemme ask those who don't want a round in the chamber, for giggles... Would you carry a modern double-action revolver with one cylinder empty? Think about it.

  49. It's always funny to me that these idiots rave about guns when they sell a product, when abused, has contributed to more injuries and deaths than personal firearms ever will. If he's been in business long he's probably allowed some drunk to leave his pub, get in their car and kill someone on the road or highway. People like him are stuck in this mentality like when Bob Costos made that moronic remark about how if a 250+ pound football player didn't have a gun he wouldn't have killed a 110lb woman, when in reality if that big football player hadn't been raging drunk and p!ssed at the world he most likely wouldn't have killed that woman. If he didn't have a gun he would have choked or beat her to death easily. I wonder what pub/bar/club/liqor store he was in getting drunk and mad before he killed her? The gun was just the tool, the booze was the trigger.
