1. Look at these two douche nozzles. They needed to be dragged outside and beaten with their own guns...

 2.   Yeah, I don't know what scares me more; the idea that anti-gunners may be using 'plants' to damage firearms rights or the idea that these dumbasses might really think they are doing something good for firearms rights.  Of course, there is a third option that is just as likely.  It is entirely possible that they and others like them are a simply a bunch of attention whores who have attached themselves to 'gun rights' like a cluster of barnacles.

 3. You know, although I don't think it is appropriate in all situations, open carry of a handgun is one thing and I can kind of see that side of the debae.  Strapping on a long gun to go eat a taco is just stupidity, no debate needed.

 4. And let's also note that it was some guy open carrying a rifle that pushed this issue to where it is.  Just because you legally have the right to do something doesn't make it a good idea.  Stay under the radar and CC and there are usually no issues.  Come in and show our ass declaring your rights and more business will respond by declaring their right to post their business.

 6. I support open carry. I also support the right of private entities to set their own policies with regard to whom they will serve without any government interference. All that aside, I am having great difficulty squaring my belief in the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP) with my desire to buttstroke  these two asshats with their own rifles.

 7. And Chipotle only posted after some open carry yahoos thought carrying AR's to eat would look cool.

 8. Makes me wonder which side of the issue the "gun owners" were really supporting.   It doesn't take a genius to know that carrying any long gun into a restaurant in Dallas will cause a high profile reaction, particularly if you have it well planned.   I see a lot of potential "news value" for the anti-gun folks if they staged this.  I can't see much upside for a pro-open carry event at a business that already allows firearms on the property.

 9. I fully support the right to open carry, but I really wish these guys would stop doing this.

 10. It's acid dipped and stone washed 1084 carbon steel professionally heated treat to 59-60RC. I also gave it the flame accent at the blade edge and added a "cave man" look at the top and sides of the spine and has jimping on the spine as well. It has green canvas micarta scales with yellow G10 liners with stainless corby fasteners and a stainless lanyard hole.

 14. Fools like this really force an owner's hands. I eat in Chipotle a couple of times a week. At noon, the line in my local Chipotle in Brentwood is generally 30 people deep. I would be willing to bet good money that if Jabba the Hut and his fashionable friend walked in every day at the same time, their lunch sales would be down 30% in a week. Heck, I run a gun forum and I'd consider heading for the door if these two walked in. How are they going to sit and eat with those rifles hanging without muzzle sweeping someone at some point? Duck boots over there may just ND when he trips over his laces. It's ridiculous. They're all but forcing the owner to post to save his revenue stream.

 20. Today was an inaugural day for me: Several years after getting my permit, I finally bought my first handgun! Since the seller was kind enough to include a nice holster, I decided to do the "Wally Walk", too. :D I bought some ammo to commemorate the occasion. For the moment, I'm mostly wearing it around the house & carrying it unloaded until I get comfortable with handling it in a safe manner. Thanks again to forum member Sonny for a great purchase, and a nice piece, too!

 23. I have ALWAYS wanted a Colt 1911 and came across this XSE I couldn't pass up. Some may call me a blasphemer or congratulate me, doesnt bother me either way because I have wanted one since I was a kid and finally have one, pretty sure I'm gonna be buried with this one, haha. Its no where near mint as who had it before me scratched it trying to take it apart. Came with three factory mags, haven't got a chance to blast er yet. Also bought one of the Bianchi model 82 holsters in black. Sent from the future using a flux capacitor.

 27.
I'll challenge anyone who carries with the chamber empty to get a first round on a 3 inch dot at 7m in less than 4 seconds. Of course it can be done. Most folks cant do it and the reason why is they don't train to do it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not to mention, when you're training, you're not likely suffering an adrenaline dump while in the midst of a possible life and death situation. I don't believe the average person would have the wherewithal to chamber a round if they were to be surprised by an attacker. By the time you got over the shock from what is happening, you could easily be a gonner.

 29. Yep. I think it's important to remember that there are a lot of Dems out there who support gun rights. Even if you don't agree with a lot of their other policies, it's possible to find common cause with this. Especially against their more lunatic fringe.

 30. I am beginning to believe a lot of this may be going on by anti gun groups just to help promote their agenda's. I do fine it hard to believe that these two individuals in this restaurant just up and decided this one their own. I mean neither one of them by their appearance would seem to be wound tight upstairs to begin with so the worse the individual appears to be the more help would go in the direction of the anti gun grabbers.............jmho

 33.
Remember the 15 foot "rule" in the knife vs gun scenario? How fast can you draw and rack your gun?
I'm curious how fast folks think they can draw, rack and accurately fire their weapon. Considering that under two seconds is fast when you have one in the chamber, four to five seconds is probably how long it would take, and I've never seen a drill practiced where the shooter draws, racks then fires. Four to five seconds is a long time. Probably longer than that if you haven't practiced your technique a few thousand times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 34. A heavier buffer will not prevent the bolt from unlocking while the pressure in the barrel is still high but an adjustable gas block will. If you are running a suppressor most of the time I would tune it for it. A properly gassed gun has less felt recoil, less crud in the receiver, less crud in the face as well as less wear and tear on the gun. You could also look at getting a MicroMOA gas block. The can be had with up to three positions. Have them make it with .050" on two holes then drill them out for unsuppressed and suppressed. Or get a click adjustable block and count clicks.

 37. Does this or anything else these leftist liberals idiots do surprise anyone any more? They have reached a point of desperation now that they feel they need to use banks to do their dirty work for them.  They don't have the kahunas to do it themselves. Wait let me rephrase that. They are not smart enough to do it themselves so want someone that is smarter to do it for them. Nothing surprises me about these low life scumbags amazes me any more. Make sure all of you remember this when you make your trips into the polling booth come November and make sure you support anyone the NRA is backing. Would be a good place to begin looking to see what the NRA plans are. Make sure you read every email sent to you NRA members and make sure you tell all your friends and family to learn as much as they can about who the NRA is backing. That is where I will be throwing all of my support..............jmho

 38. *240FPS + Remember, divide that number by cameras used. *Get at least an 8 channel DVR = 8 cameras. I bought a 8 channel DVR that came with 4 cameras, then added. * PTZ Capable (Pan tilt zoom) camera, runs on its own channel. My system I can use the remote to move this camera around.   get a DVR capable of 30 frames per second per camera thats where the 240 FPS comes from stay away from anything that uses proprietary connectors, especially the ones that look like rj11 phone jacks PTZ is a nice option 8 channel is a good option you can always add on but cant take away. The small mini outdoor domes ( cameras) run between 90 and 200 bucks per dome, look for something that has a vari focal lens that will go from say 3 to 12mm and has IR LED's to see at night any camera with a sharp or sony chipset will usually work well DVR's are across the board be prepared to spend about 350 on a decent 8 channel dvr monitor to watch: a small flat panel tv works fine for home use, make sure it has a " composite" or analog input on the back, this is a yellow RCA connector that sits next to a red and white one. hope this helps if u need more info contact me off list and i can walk u through some options. In the long run its all about what u want to see w the system.

 39. The free market (or whatever we have left of it in America) will win out on this.  Guns are an amazing product and a steady profit generator.  Hell, the costs you save by not needing a dedicated advertising campaign like other products use are amazing in themselves.  I'd trust a return on investment from an established gun shop more than I would a savings bond from most countries in the Eurozone right now.

 42. probably the best advice for folks that are starting to carry a gun, every gun type except the revolvers, carry it cocked and without one in the chamber to get comfortable with it for few days and keep checking it and you will gain that trust in your gun and get a good holster that covers the trigger, there is nothing worse carrying chambered and being a nervous wreck and freaking out about it thinking it will fire on its own that is not safe for you or anyone around you.

 43. Also, maybe have a place to put it when ur at home so it's not on you. This way there's no worry with your daughter. Great idea above. Or even, carry it without one racked for a while so you can get used to the idea of carrying. Gradually you will be more comfortable. If you're like me you went a long time without carrying anything. It takes a little time.

 44.   Carry it cocked without one in chamber. Check it every couple of days to see if it's still cocked.   After x amount of time, you'll be convinced it ain't gonna fire unless the trigger is pulled, and you'll keep one in the chamber, as of course you should.   - OS

 45. It will take time , when I started to carry I was the same way. After a while I went to loaded on a striker fired with a GOOD HOLSTER , then it was ALL HOLSTERS had to have a thumb break , now it's cocked and locked .45 with no thumb break. Comfortable as can be ; baby steps , you will get there.

 46. At first I was going to build something along the lines of this: Then, slowly, it turned into this: But now, I'm more of an ak guy, so I am slowly gathering parts for this and my new ak at the same time. IF you look around, you can find some really good deals.

 47. My advice... buy a basic, complete upper and lower (or whole rifle) and shoot the piss out of it until you notice improvements that can be made by changing out parts for reliability and ergonomics. I promise that within a couple years (or less) that rifle will be part of you... then, you'll know what you want to build. Sounds like a lot of time invested, but that's way better than spending a ton of money on a setup that doesn't work, or fit you, before you are accustomed to the platform.

 48. Well, after last weeks thread on the thief in Chattanooga, as well as watching some different threads along the way about home security, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a video surveillance system.  I travel a lot and feel like this at least gives me the ability to check on my house and with the motion detection, hopefully be alerted if something really odd is going on.     After a ton of research on cctvforum, I ended up going with an NVR and IP camera's so I could get the higher resolution.  It was certainly a bit more expensive than a DVR, but I am not sure by a lot.  I know there was some discussion about POE in another thread and I think that seemed to be the easiest install option so the one I bought has 8 channels, all POE enabled.  I wanted something that was as much self contained as possible.  I could have built a PC and went with a software NVR, but this will use less power.  I am going to start with 5 cameras (2-3MP with IR for outside and 3-1.3MP with IR for inside).  I am really curious how this is all going to turn out.  I think I got a really good deal on everything, I just need to buy whatever size hard drive I want (will probably get a 3TB) and some new Cat6 for the runs.     I am not an expert by any means, but if you are looking for a residential system and want to go IP with an NVR, feel free to ask questions and I will tell you why I decided to get what I did.  Dahua is of course a Chinese manufacturer and you have to be careful who you buy from, but I bought from a reputable dealer and am confident I will be able to get support if needed.     If anyone is interested the things I bought to check on if you are in the market, they are:   (1)Dahua NVR5208-P (1)Dahua IPC-HDW2100 (2)Dahua IPC-HFW4300s (2)Dahua IPC-HFW2100s   I feel like I got a great deal.  If anyone is interested, let me know and I will let you know where I got all of it.  To give you an idea, these items were $1184.  If you look it all up and compare, you will see that it is a good deal on these items.  I will definitely upload some info when I get it up and running. Pretty excited to get started actually.
