I have spoken with Pro Tech this knife may be a lot cheaper than I first thought, When I know the final price I will let you all know, we will need 50 orders to make this happen and if it does happen we will be doing several more. I have a fantastic relationship with the President of Pro Tech after speaking with him on the phone the knife will be all black aluminum handled with a laser anodized TGO Logo on it, Dave the President of Pro Tech came up with that idea and it will make the cost lower. I will not be making a dime off of this so what I charge you all will be what I pay Pro tech and then the cost of shipping it to you all I encourage you all to get on this as this will build to a great money saving relationship for all of us with one of the best American companies on the planet, I have told them it will be around 6 weeks before I have everyone's money so you have plenty of time to save up. They will be donating a knife for TGO to raffle with every run we do and will also be making TGO David a special one of kind knife for free for letting us do this, these guys Rock you all need to get on this!5 points

I've joked repeatedly that Sig must have an entire department devoted to giving the ATF the finger. I'm not sure it's a joke anymore. I am seriously getting the impression that Sig has a hardon for the NFA and is going after the idiocy of the ATF's rulings pretty much full bore. When I refer to their clanking balls, I mean it. Sig is showing a hell of a lot more testicular fortitude than the NRA, GOA, SAF and other so called gun rights organizations by directly attacking the NFA. I got nothing but love for them and pray they have continued success against the ATF.3 points

I got the OK from David, To keep this knife affordable and to make this work all knifes must be the same configuration. I will update this thread as this progresses. The knives will be kept under $250.00 shipped I am thinking the Godfather will be the best model for this and to keep it affordable, If any of you are interested please post in this thread, I am not sure of a time frame but it will be after the new law goes into effect so when you get yours you can legally carry it!2 points

To me the TGO logo on this with "Knife Freedom 7/1/2014" bellow it would be awesome2 points

Would you rather the .gov tell you you can't do something or a private business tell you they don't want your business if you choose to do something?2 points

I find that hard to believe. We all know that open carry is an open invitation for all to abscond with your firearm and kill everyone in sight. I know this to be the case because I read it on the Internet.2 points

Excellent point. Most of the folks who are against OC act like they have 20 years under their belt as a Space Shuttle door gunner and that is the minimum required by the state to get a permit. In fact, the training requirements by the state require about an hour of range time, and about 7 hours or watching videos, trying not to fall asleep while an instructor explains, poorly, the difference between single and double action, and telling lies. Your permit is in no way a representation of your competence with firearms. It means that for one hour you were able to handle it without killing yourself or the guy next to you and were able to hit a rather large target that is not moving and placed as far as 15 whole yards from you. Congratulations, Jack Bauer, you're a trained killer now.2 points

Not a story about someone else's reloads but about a guy I met shooting his own at Norris. He had been having some problems with his AR so I offered to take a look. When you pulled the trigger it would not fire, almost like it was on safe. I looked down inside the receiver and there was a primer that was in the bottom. I didn't think anything about it and shook it out. I told him he had a primer under his trigger and that was causing the problem. Knowing brass primer pockets can get loose over time I asked how many times the brass had been reloaded. He said he had no clue but he has been using the same brass for a long time. Next I asked him how much powder he was using. His reply, I swear, was "to the top". I asked what he meant and he said he would fill the case to the top of the case mouth then seat the bullet. At first I thought he was joking but he was serious. Then I thought that maybe the measured charge came to the top so I asked how much it weighed and he said he doesn't weigh the powder, just fill the case up. I told him he is lucky he hasn't hurt himself and he acted like I had insulted him. When I got there I had my wife throw a bunch of clays on a bank past the 100 yard line. As I was shooting I guess I hit a couple of this guys clays. Same guy got extremely upset and yelled at me about shooting his clays. I apologized and put a stack of clays on his bench. Then he had to complain about the walk out there. I was on my crutches that I use to walk and he said I had no clue what kind of inconvenience it was to have to walk 100 yards. I chuckled and left.2 points

I will eat a mess of all three given the option. I grew up pretty poor, you didn't complain as long as there was food in front of you.2 points

I fear there may be some other unintended negative consequences that appear only after this is a done deal.....as someone mentioned before...it may lead to more places being posted and that is just ONE negative consequence...but a big one none the less.2 points
Bingo. We'll just have to leave it up to individual virtue though. (Yeah, that'll go well...)
It works well enough in 30 states. The bearing of arms is an individual right. While it is important that one be well versed in the use of the arms they choose to bear, it is not place of the government to step in and compel the citizen to have training or jump through other hoops prior to exercising that natural right.1 point

I agree with Vistar - MidwayUSA's shipping and additional fees continue preventing me from ordering.... I keep adding stuff to my cart, then getting to checkout and canceling. If I could order $175 worth of "reasonably" priced .22 and get the free shipping - I would do it in a heartbeat.1 point

I love grits so much I'll even eat the instant ones. I like a slice of cheese on top of the bowl of well salted and peppered grits with 2 fried eggs on top. That's the breakfast of champions, IMHO. you gotta tell me the name of this place! grits casserole sounds so good!!!1 point

It looks like House leadership killed the bill anyway to avoid a floor vote. It will be interesting to see if the park bill is stalled just like the open carry bill.1 point

Particularly since they're making out like a bandit on the SB15 Brace decisions. After asking their various reviewers to whom they supply product to keep mum on actually shooting it from the shoulder, now that the second decision is in, they've contacted them all to go 180 and publicize that aspect. Then again, I guess rather than counting itself lucky on that one, I guess it has emboldened them further. 'Course, being a significant defense contractor increases testicle size too I reckon. - OS1 point

However, it is a little frustrating. I can't even find .22 and these aholes have grenades.... So unfair.1 point

I saw that also. Must've been a triple load. Kinda like the reloader thought he had to fill the .38 case with powder.1 point

I don't think it should be required to get training but it is most certainly advantageous for ANYONE carrying to get it as well as being well versed on the laws surrounding carrying a firearm at all.1 point

If they ban guns, they use knives. When they add knives to the ban, they'll use hammers, screwdrivers, scissors.......they just don't get it. It's not the tool it's the attacker!1 point

Discussed quite a bit here. Placed "behind the budget" by Ways and Means Committee. http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=HB1407 which usually means they won't fund it, so that it gets out of committee. Of course writing it so that there was a fiscal note on it at all seems obvious to me that the fix was in to derail it from the gitgo since as I understand it the Senate counterpart did not. As I understand the timing, Haslam has submitted new budget, so theoretically, they could "find" the money. Of course, looks like we're gonna insure that every high school graduate in the state gets two free years of junior college or some such, so I doubt if a gun bill will be in the running for any expenditure. - OS1 point

I love my airguns. I Have a Beaman RS2 in .22 that I haven't shot in a long time due to where we live now. I also have a Bennjamin pump, a 392 I think that we call the grackle blaster. I use it to dispatch all the small starlings and blackbirds that run of all the song birds in the yard. Learning to shoot a springer with an artillery hold will make you a crack shot with a rimfire. I would love to have one of the new nitro pistons but the velocity is to high to shoot in my yard.1 point

I hand prime everything so don't worry about the primer tubes. But when I did have to fill the tubes, I hated it - although not enough to spend the original $50 (and maybe not even $25) for a tool to help. I think they have been around for a while, heard them mentioned several times (although the FA brand one could be newer).1 point

Drawing and sight acquisition. At least once every few weeks when I have 10-15 minutes. I use 3 inch dots at about 7m. Not a lot of slack in a Glock trigger, so I don't bother with trigger pull. Getting your gun out and acquiring sights in a fluid and natural manner will breed faster first rounds on target. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point
