Couple of my friends and I decided to make the drive to Georgia last week and visit as many of the film locations we could find. We managed to see a bunch of them. Some of the locations are off limits like the farm house which is privately owned, the prison is actually a studio set and the rock quarry is owned by the city of Atlanta and is posted. Other than that we seen a bunch. It's cool cause some of the locations are far apart but seem like they are just around the corner on the series and some are really close but seem far away in the series. We did visit "Woodbury" which is actually Senoia, GA. It was pretty fun driving the back roads of Georgia looking for these places. They have an app called GA walking dead tours and it's a do it yourself help guide. The town of Senoia is actually home to a bunch of different films and TV shows. We plan on going back soon and finding the new season locations and some we missed. In these pics I took a pic and combined it with either the scene pic from the movie or a pic that represents what it is. If you have seen the show you will know most of them. http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377955205429_zps97ecbaa4.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996529299_zps84621ee0.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996456966_zps8379e9a7.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996415678_zps4b4cb508.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996415678_zpsdfdf0546.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377995812996_zps596ec840.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377995656880_zpsfa6ea842.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377995415753_zps2bf9382e.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377994637659_zpsf5ea872a.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377994423355_zpsd0c92b2e.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377994143389_zps71d91692.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377990001880_zps9554e65d.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377982982894_zpse4ce0c9c.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377982935360_zpsa5e4cc7c.jpg2 points

The SHTF cycle of hype is like that movie "The Cabin in the Woods" where there is a rotating cast of demonic threats that are randomly selected to attack the people in the cabin. Who knows what it'll be this time? Maybe the merman? Maybe justice for Trayvon mermen? I don't know. Guess we'll have to stay tuned.2 points

I'm all for capitalism too, but I also believe that there is such a thing as ethics in capitalism. Ethics are a subjective thing, but I generally think we all can look at something and come up with the determination of what's right and what's wrong. CTD has done some very wrong things, in my opinion. Perhaps there are many people out there who disagree that their practices were unethical, but I don't see how they can be logically defended. The day following (or perhaps even hours following) the Sandy Hook shootings CTD jacked up their prices on certain items by 10 times the normal cost. They then contributed to the panic by having advertisements suggesting these will be banned. To me, that is a company who is attempting to make money on dead kids. Sorry, that's how it simply boils down. I won't give my money to people like that. As far as I'm concerned they can all rot in hell.2 points

I don't know if yall know this or not, but TN is a great state for knifemakers. We have some serious top tier guys churning out knives in this great state. Jeremy Horton JB Stout (Jason) JB Blount (Brad) Jon Graham Andy Fitz There aren't many other states in this country as stacked as this place. I'm still working on getting a couple but I intend to have at least one folder and one fixed from each of the guys above.1 point

My wife got spooked from that video a while back of the dude kicking in the door and nearly beating a woman to death in front of her nanny-cam. Now she wants to get her carry permit, which I'm of-course all for. My worries are that I think people get this idea that the moment they point a barrel, they now have control over the situation. It's the way it happens on TV, but I've had guns pulled on me before and all they do is piss me off. I'm afraid a rapist or other dirt bag might see her pull her piece and doubt her commitment on pulling the trigger and take it as an excuse to escalate the situation from bad to really bad. I told her I really hope that if she picks nothing else up from the carry class, it's that if you pull your pistol out you better be 200%-ready to blow some holes in someone, or else things will likely get really bad really quick. No warning shots, no drama, just draw and shoot.1 point

I have had great luck with Shacklett machine in Nashville. They are great people. Dad is Bo son is John. They just did a mild 351M build for us. The guy in Ashland city Tempest mentioned, if the same guy, is a friend of theirs that is amazing, but I hear he's on about a year and a half waiting list. Dolomite has a good point, I've never heard about the xxx block but would check it out.1 point

Good choice! Congrats, and I look forward to seeing your first range report! And when you want to zero it, check out this read: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=107572&highlight=Zen+50+meter And here's a 25m target that'll give you a 100m zero (and other distances to based on personal preference): http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=969551 point

I would check to see that all the screws are tight; stock screws, scope mount and ring screws. I would also clean the barrel well, and adjust the trigger to get a decent pull. The 700 trigger can be adjusted to tolerable from intolerable as they come from the factory. The ammo you are shooting has proven to be as accurate in the several rifles I've fired it in as any I can find, factory or handloaded. Each rifle is different, however, and you may find another brand or weight to be superior in your gun. I've yet to shoot a 700 that didn't shoot well. That being said, I know they do exist. One thing you may want to look at is the shooter. No one wants to think that is the case, but I find that I shoot much better some days than others for no apparent reason. I'd also try a different scope before sinking a lot of money into other options. Good luck with your rifle.1 point

Whatever you think of the guy's demeanor, he didn't get a 629 Classic, right, so Bud's blew it, seems to me? Pic of Classic on S&W's site: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_764952_-1_757770_757767_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y He got the plain 629, which is, from S&W's site again: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_764950_-1_757770_757767_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y - OS1 point

Awesome! Congrats to your daughter... and dad. Soak it up brother, it won't last forever and it will be gone before you know it. My daughter was the same age when she got her first. She's 15 now and we didn't hunt this weekend. We sorta half planned to hit one afternoon, but didn't make it out. I miss those days of her sitting with me in the blind, on my lap, me shaking worse than her. I am looking forward to the next level of memory making times now. Like teaching her to change a flat tire... :)1 point

I'd have a hard time saying it better myself! I completely agree, lack of honesty, integrity and a good strong character makes any man (or woman) unfit for any office or anything else for that matter. I dare to say that there is no one on earth right now that has never succumbed to the temptation to compromise those three things but what separates the trustworthy from the not is who owns their mistakes and tries not to repeat them and who gets away with it and becomes even more emboldened to keep doing it again and again.. It's a sad time we live in....1 point

That question is a red herring and not germane to the discussion at hand. The courts have pretty consistently ruled against your position. If the carrying of a gun is not in and of itself a crime then there is no legal right for the officer to demand ID on the basis of identifying the citizen's (not subject) legal status. To put it bluntly, unless the citizen is or has engaged in an activity that provided RAS for the stop to fall under Terry V. Ohio, then who the citizen is and their legal status is none of the officer's business without being consensually provided by the citizen.1 point

I'll give you a class, a couple of your buddies too if you wish. I only charge $250 ;). In all seriousness, I'm no expert, but I have yet to come across an AR I couldn't build/fix and I've had zero "proper" training. I watched YouTube, read forums, and learned through experience. I'm not discrediting the course but I promise you there are better ways to learn your way around the platform and better ways to spend $450. Yet again, in all seriousness, I'm willing to bet if you set a day up to offer food and good drink....there'd be plenty of knowledgeable tngo members show up to help1 point

He was showing off what a big boy he was. In his mind that is how an officer is supposed to conduct himself, from the position of authority rather than a peace officer. A peace officer would have responded to the call, been cordial with the young ladies and wished them a good day. This guy doesn't see the role of police that way. He sees it as a position where you can assert your control over others, and should. All because in high school the other boys whooped on him and none of the girls would touch his pee pee.1 point

A big reason I don't anymore is this. The owner bought a bunch of powder from a bunch of dealers at a show but on Monday he filed disputes for all those purchases. Most of the dealers eventually got their money but it tied up the money for a long time. But some didn't think it was worth the hassle. In the end the owner wound up with some free powder on the backs of honest people.1 point

I wasn't blaming him for this. It was more of a joke that he was doing his best to remove the danger of disgruntled ex-employees by doing his best to reduce the number of employees in the first place (crappy economy, ACA etc). Sorry if it didn't hit the mark, they can't all be comedy gold.1 point

I strive to do business with a reputable honest business, preferably local but... When a business establishment voluntarily goes crazy after a single incident and caves into hysteria, sentiment, emotion and the liberal mantra. By not honoring and canceling existing pre-paid firearms orders, making it difficult to get a refund, getting rid of their existing firearm stock, raising prices sky high and leading in the plundering of their customers. I'll stand back and take a second look and see if these are the type of business's I want to support. Their business practices lead me to rename them and refer to them as: OXYMORON DIRT1 point

I have it preordered but FPS on console is not my cup of tea. PC all the way. I played beta and got to level 8 or 9. Best Sniper in Franklin but a guy in Clarksville smoked me for best in Mid TN and a guy in Jackson or there abouts was best in the state. DMR I was king though.1 point
