Easy solution. Open your own range. Good target systems are only 10k or so per lane, plus backstop material at another 5k+ a lane. And since you don't mind people shooting high add another few thousand to expand your backstop higher. Generally for a mere 15-25k a lane you can make your own rules. I really hate listening to people whine about a charge that they new about and disregarded anyway. If you are unable to shoot below the line then either move the target closer or aim lower. Seems pretty easy to me. I would rather shoot at a clean well cared for range that had strict rules to keep it that way than at some of these poorly ventilated basement dumps that don't. My 4runner with 1919a4 pentle mount would probally do the trick. 5 points

Okay so State Rep. Joe Carr (for those that didn't already know) announced that he would be running against Jim Tracey to unseat incumbent Congressman Scott Desjarlais. Now in an effort to try to give Lamar Alexander the boot, Joe Carr has been solicited to abandon his effort to win a seat in the House of Representatives to instead take Lamar's senate seat. I'm not 100% certain on this but I was contacted by a mutual friend saying that there would most likely be an announcement tomorrow stating such. Lamar has managed to hold favorable standing in all hypothetical polls I have heard of but I believe that is mostly due to the almost total lack of a serious contender.. With the support of most Tea Party groups I hope and believe things will change ( I know, we've been burnt everytime hope and change shows up in the same sentence). This is exciting news to me because there is virtually a 100% chance that we will keep a Republican in the house seat anyways but stand to gain a true dyed in the wool Tea Party conservative in the senate which we are dying to have more of. I guess we will find out tomorrow whether or not this is actually whats going on but I for one have my fingers crossed.3 points

are you reffering to yourself here? I dont think they'll miss you one bit. Maybe they wont have to repair their system either. You are being awful beligerant for someone who signed an agreement before entering the range. You knew the agreement and failed to hold up your end. Plus they are a paying sponser of TGO, they deserve a little respect. If you dont agree with the $8, fine, shoot somewhere else, but your are crying over something that you admitadly did. its like complaining about a speeding ticket by saying the speed limit was too low. You kew the rules3 points

I don't believe for a fraction of a second that his "conservative" highlight reel is anything more than him baiting the trap with nothing more than a hollow conservative shell. He may have done some good things over the year but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Folks need to remember that primaries are the time to vote your convictions, principals and morals and I feel like any medium to high information conservative voter can tell Lamar is not looking out for us. He's been in Washington a long time and is over staying his welcome IMO.3 points

I grew tired of the bickering and petty nature of my business. Coming home every day stressed out. 34 years old and way to much gray hair to count. Life shouldn't be like that in my opinion. So I threw my resume off to a recruiter and PRESTO... less than three weeks later I've accepted an offer with a better title, pay, cheaper benefits.. and it's just right up the road! Now, changing jobs as a family man is stressful in itself. It worries me that I'm leaving the enemy that I understand for the one that I don't. But honestly I feel like Peter from Office Space here with one week left to go. Think I'll leave early today and go clean my new gun :) Fellow TGO'ers If you're overworked and overstressed, please don't drive yourself to an early grave. You weren't put on this planet to watch the bottom line of someone else's riches! At least not for someone who doesn't appreciate it. There's always something better out there, you just have to look.2 points

Hey, hey hey. Do you really think that is appropriate? I mean why would you want to insult and innocent pig by associating it with Piers?2 points

Yeah. Now a lot of units have LA-5s or whatever they're called now. They're smaller than the PEQ-2A and run on a 123 battery. In addition to the IR beam, these ones have a visible laser on them too so you can scare Hadj and screw with feral cats; I'm pretty sure that's what it said its purpose was in the manual.2 points

Usually the stress and BS in IT comes from management with zero background in IT trying to micromanage. Am in a situation now where someone is pulling in six figures overseeing people with multiple degrees in IT and they claimed their iPhone was broken because there was no capital "P" on the keyboard. They had their phone phone wiped and restored multiple times from getting locked out because they couldn't figure out where the shift key was :stunned: Put that person in charge of a multi-million dollar project with multiple vendors involved and you're two steps away from a stroke at all times.2 points

So, are you all ready to have your mind BLOWN?! Back in November of 2007, my platoons first patrol to Marastana we found his helmet, pack, and other stuff. Remember what he wrote in the book about what he took on that mission? Small world eh? I should probably mention we knew it was his because his name was written inside his helmet. Yes, we sent it back to the Navy, whom gave it back to him. Obliviously only the helmet.2 points

Meh, lots of guys here support gay rights. Figured they might as well take a good look at the new military. I'm a pretty simple person. You keep it out of my face, I don't give a damn who your sleeping with. That goes for anybody, gay or straight. That shit has no place in the public eye.2 points

Cruz had almost no money in Texas and spanked the pants off the "sure thing" They can spend 10 mil, but if they can't get people off their ass and to the polls, it is wasted.1 point

I have quit using anything any more. I used to soot my molds but there is no need IMHO. I do take some Flitz and a Q-tip and polish the inside though. Takes about 30 minutes then I clean it real good with Dawn and a toothbrush. I then use more Q-tips to remove any water in the mold to prevent water spots. Let me guess Lee molds? They can be just enough off center to cause the bullet to hang up.1 point

Oh... thanks. I have a whole bunch of engineering jokes I could tell right now. But it sounds like the Engineers they were told about now work for automated range companies.1 point

Nice! Sure... Except if you remember 2007/2008, it doesn't take but just a hiccup for us to be in a hurt ourselves. .. Especially since Georgia keeps suing us for water. As populations rise, our abundance of water could make the Tennessee valley the most desirable place to live in the CUS. That, of course, will make it an undesirable place to live for most of us. Think New York... in Nashville. Boy, we better get working on public transport.1 point

Logically, the G27/33 are the most versatile models as you can use all mags and barrel lengths in 40 or 357 Sig caliber. You can get conversion barrels also to make them equal G23/32 performance. But my opinion with the advance in ammunition, a G19 is currently the perfect Glock as you can get near 357 performance in a 4" 15 shot pistol that is very carryable.1 point
-
I would probably just assume to have a G26 or 27 over all of them. For most people they shoot every bit as great as the full size models. I have been carrying a G26 Gen 4 over the last 5 months and have barely touched anything else. I actually prefer a G23 over a 19 for a couple of reasons.1 point

Good decision. No way I would have passed up an RRA for a Mossberg. Not because I think Mossy is junk, just because I love RRA1 point

Frivolous crap is how you catch people with drugs, warrants and revoked licenses. You said it yourself; you are being profiled because of your car. Time to trade. Could be worse; they could be writing you every time they stop you to look in your car.1 point

In my thirty plus years of military and civilian government service, every oath I took was to defend and support the Constitution of the United States, not the constitution of a state, county, city or municipality. I do believe the U.S. Constitution supersedes state Constitutions and infringements imposed by lesser governments?1 point

I'm sure this case will be thrown out. And with any luck, every time this cop comes up for promotion, they'll shake their heads, say "Not this dumbass again" and he'll be stuck writing speeding tickets until he gives up and gets a job poking pigs with sticks or something. No one should be having to second guess themselves when calling 911 when there's a threat to their life.1 point

he has knowledge and skill but I really doubt how much surviving he does on that show. There are youtube vid's some of you may allow yourself to watch ;) that show him surviving from a reverse angle as his camera and tourists and vehicles are clearly visible just yards away. Survivorman would kick his ass in a survival showdown.1 point
