  3. I am in Australia at the moment and wearing my TGO polo short, anyway while in the Sydney Airport 3 Australian gentlemen began discussing firearms with me. The Aussies love Jack Daniels and as I am learning more every time I come into this country, they love their guns as well. I truly feel sorry for these people and I cannot begin to tell you all just how lucky we all are being able to buy the guns that we can. One of the guys I was talking with just got rid of several high end shotguns because the government here makes it very expensive and a pain in the but to own them, Just felt like sharing this, Now for my long journey home

  7. It frustrates me to see people on here who think that if a candidate doesn't match their way of thinking 100% of the time then they aren't going to vote for them. They are defacto holding a freak'n politician to a higher standard than they do their own spouses.

  9. We have a nice restaurant within walking distance to our house (Market House near Jackson Square in Oak Ridge) that my wife and I like to go to. Not only is the food really good, but they have a nice selection of beer. So, my wife and I decided to go on a date to the restaurant last night. We decided to walk so we could partake of the adult beverages.   We had a really nice dinner, drank a bit, laughed a lot, drank some more. It was a great evening. We walked home under the stars, the temperature nearly perfect, holding hands, giggling like a couple of school kids. I'm thinking this night is just going to get better    We get to the house and I see my stupid dog rolling around in the grass. Not just rolling, but plowing the ground with his face. That's when we noticed the smell of the skunk. I go over to the fence and, yep, he got it.   So, now it's 10:30 at night and I'm outside giving my dog a peroxide and baking soda bath. The beer buzz is pretty much gone, and my hands and arms smell like skunk.   Let's just say my dog was not the only one that got skunked last night!

  12. Yeah, the first time he got skunked, a year ago, I used the Peroxide mixture and I expected it to have made him a platinum blonde, I couldn't tell the difference in his coat color, but I'm color blind and don't see shades very well.   It did make his skin all dried out and I had to use some kind of pet lotion on him.     I forgot to mention in my OP, that he is a Dachshund. So, the long story short is: I was looking for some love, but what I got instead was a small, stinky, wiener.   :stunned:   Yeah, we got a million wiener jokes in my house.

  16. I spent some time in the forge today, Ill be there all week getting ready for the upcoming gunshow. I made two small edc fixed blades. These were designed to be small utility knives, and if push comes to shove, work as self defense shivs. Both are made from 1095 Nichlson files. #1 2.75" blade, 5.5" overall. Flat ground, hand forged. Razor sharp edge, paracord wrapped handle ] #2 2.5" blade, 5.25" overall. Flat ground, hand forged. Razor sharp, paracord wrapped handle Then I decided to do something a little different. I didn't know if I was gonna like this or not. It has some hard angles, but I think I definitely like it. 5160 steel, hand forged. Flat ground. 6.5" blade, 11.25" overall. 5/16th thick. Paracord wrapped handle

If you don't vote for GOP candidates that can win, then there's just that much more chance that a Dem will.   And at this point in American history, the first Congress where Dems have the majority in both houses, especially with a Dem prez, anti-gun legislation is a given. Probably even with a Republican prez, considering the ones that can actually get the nomination.   - OS

  23. Don't see how it could. Like the Blackhawk the Charter headspaces on the shoulder of the round, doesn't accept moon clips, and the .380 is 4.5mm shorter, so hammer wouldn't touch primer. .380 would be pretty loose in chamber, might go off it you held it straight up or something, so that round slid back to hammer, dunno.     Love mine. 9mm sort of feels like .22mag through the thing. :)   - OS

  24. I certainly do! I don't feel it's unjust to punish someone financially for being irresponsible. If you drink in public and don't have a ride or the presence of mind to set that up before hand, then that person should be made to suffer for endangering others lives. Remember the founding principle of this country. You are free to do ANYTHING you want as long as what you're doing does not infringe on the right of someone else to do what they want. Joe Blow getting hammered does not infringe on my life at all. Joe Blow operating a vehicle inebriated DOES effect my right to drive home safely. His lack of personal responsibility is putting me at risk. This is a multi lane highway too folks. You SHOULD be free to carry a gun without restriction. ONE screw up proving your lapse of judgment should resultin the thing being forcefully inserted in your rectum. People REFUSE to take responsibility for their actions and its disgusting. It proves what a country full p-----s we have become. Do what you like should be the first law of the land. Violating another's right to do the same and suffer dire (violent if need be) consequences. Personally I think it boils downto the fact that idiots are allowed to survive. Never before in history were so many morons, lazy, inept what have you; people spoon fed life support to the detriment of the productive.

  25. Many states do put you in prison. Tennessee just removed the ability to refuse a blood test after your first DUI conviction; that makes the next convictions easier for those than continue to drive drunk. I’m not sure how some of the multiple offenders can still be on the street. Like anything though, whether or not you go to prison depends on how much legal representation you can afford to buy.

  27. In Clarksville we had 5 gang related shootings and/or robberies in the past week. It was fine when all that stuff was confined to the projects, but it is spilling out into the neighborhoods and businesses. The city has made clear we don't have a gang problem. It's a matter of time before one of these animals gets smoked by a HCPer, and then it will be interesting to see how out city handles it. Another trigger happy cracker killing a poor black kid who isn't at fault for his actions. At the heart of all this is our weak ass judge and sorry excuse for a DA. In the past few years I've seen a man get aggravated assault after shooting two people in the head and one in the chest with a gun he was legally not allowed to have since he was a felon. He was never even charged with being in possession of a weapon, and all the attempted murder charges were pled down. I've also seen a woman who had 5 DUIs kill a man while driving drunk. She got probation. Then there was a recent one where a man shot an unarmed man and woman in the parking lot of a DAYCARE as the two were dropping of their child. The shooter was allowed to plead down to a slap on the wrist. There are many more, but these are examples as to the consequence free environment the legal system and her slimy lawyers and bleeding heart judges have created. These people have nothing to lose. Even if the actually do time, it isn't very long and only adds to their "street cred". What these stupid stupid DAs and judges don't understand is that this emboldens these criminals to take it a step further, since they know they can get away with it. Eventually it won't be other gangbangers at the end of the barrel, it will be the people that pay taxes and their children. Then, when people start to fight back and clean house we'll be the ones facing life in prison. I can't fit how stupid and backwards this way of thinking is. What I do know is that these pro-crime judges and DAs need to suck start a shotgun. This is their fault. The excuse about potentially losing a case and letting a guilty man go free is BS. I'd rather see them try a criminal for a crime they committed and lose than see them give up and get a conviction with zero consequence. For some reason these idiots think a conviction bothers these animals. It doesn't. They go out and get a tattoo in celebration.   Edited to add, we just had another "victory" for our DA here in Clarksville this week.  A 28 year old man raped a 15 year old girl who was on her way home from school.  He has been held in the jail until his trial.  He just pled down to Aggravated Statuatory Rape, and was sentenced to probation and time served.  He is a free man today, and is living in the same house.  One of these days one of these animals is going to be delivered to the courthouse steps in a dozen separate trashbags, and then suddenly there will be outrage that someone would do such a thing.  I don't see how these slimy lawyers and judges sleep at night.  I bet their tune would change if someone was raping and killing their children.

  29. We just got back from a trip to FL and had a great time, minus those damn toll roads every 15 feet.  Anyways, flew into Orlando and took a week driving down to Key West.  Coming back yesterday we had the best flight attendant that exists, he didn't fit the stereotype at all; a bit overweight, about 4 inches too tall for the plane and maybe late 40's to early 50's.  Anyways, he started in on the normal welcome aboard thing and the rest went something like this:   ----------------------- Ladies and gentlemen, I found a brown wallet here with some money in it, if you could look this way and ID it... ok thanks, now that I've got your attention we need to cover some safety things.   blah blah blah   We'll be flying over water so in the event our flight turns into a cruise and the pilot into our skipper, use your seat cushion as a flotation device and do not grab on to me because I can't swim.   blah blah blah   The masks will drop down automatically, put yours on first then help the people around you.  This happens fast, so if you're traveling with more than one child, decide now on who has a better chance at being successful in life   blah blah blah   There's a newly renovated smoking area in the plane, it's out on the right wing.  If you do make it out there alive, the movie playing is gone with the wind and there's a full service salt water bath waiting for you upon landing.   blah blah blah   Thanks for choosing us, my mortgage company thanks you, my coworkers thank you and again welcome aboard Southwest Airlines where we like you, but like your money more. -----------------------   Guy went on for about 20 minutes and it was the only time I've ever listened to the entire thing... He had the whole plane rolling, wish I would've taped it cause it would've went viral for sure.

  34. Here, this explains everything; Proud to be White ! I have been wondering about why Whites are racists, And no other race is...... Proud to be White ... Michael Richards makes his point... Michael Richards better known as Kramer From TVs Seinfeld does make a good point. This was his defense speech in court After making racial comments in his comedy act. He makes some very interesting points... Someone finally said it. How many are actually paying attention to this?   There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans.. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman'... And that's OK... But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink .. You call me a racist.   You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you.... So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?   You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi. You have the NAACP. You have BET.... If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), We'd be racists. If we had a White Pride Day, You would call us racists. If we had White History Month, We'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives, we'd be racists.   We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, And then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that??   A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, But any color can be in the Miss America pageant. If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships... You know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US .. Yet if there were 'White colleges', That would be a racist college.   In the Million Man March, You believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, You would call us racists. You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, And you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, You call us racists. You rob us, car jack us, and shoot at us. But, When a white police officer shoots a black gang member Or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law And posing a threat to society, you call him a racist. I am proud...... But you call me a racist. Why is it that only whites can be racists?? There is nothing improper about this e-mail.. Let's see which of you are proud enough to send it on. I sadly don't think many will. That's why we have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS In this country. We won't stand up for ourselves! BE PROUD TO BE WHITE! It's not a crime YET.... But getting very close!   DaveS

  36.   Not all indigent people are worthless scumbags like the one who rented that house, but there are a lot who are.  The problem is how do you know.  I read a lot of the comments people posted saying how stupid the guy was for renting the property out through Section 8.  More than likely that was the only people who would go live in that area due to the crime rate, so he really didn't have a choice.   I find it amazing that the government was sending the landlord over $1k a month, and the tenant was only having to pay $53 a month.  I know a bunch of hard-working middle class people who receive no government assistance, and they would be hard pressed to come up with $1k for rent.  It is an absolute shame that our government is so irresponsible with the taxpayer's money.   I am not exactly sure how Section 8 works, but I hope there is something in place were the landlord can report this tenant, and she becomes ineligible for any kind of housing assistance in the future.  My view is that if someone is so irresponsible when they are receiving such generous taxpayer assistance, then they should be cut off and forced to provide for themselves.

  37. Yeah, they're no joke down there either. I found out the hard way as a kid that they are amphibious. We were hit by a hurricane or tropical storm and the streets in the neighborhood flooded, so of course, as soon as the band passed over and it died down a bit we went outside to swim in the flooded streets (about 2-3ft). About 5 minutes or so into it I realized I was being bit, then I realized they were all over my torso. As I'm smacking these little monsters on me I noticed that there were hundreds of them, all around me, just floating on the surface. It was like Sharknado, only with ants instead of sharks and a hurricane instead of a tornado.... and better production budget.

  39. There is a difference between someone who has earned their gut and someone who hasn't. It's easy to throw out the obesity thing, since most people who are on the gov tit are very overweight. I don't care how much someone weighs so long as I'm not the one funding their EBT cards. When you see a Dependapotomus waddling around the store enjoying all that excess on my dime it is infuriating.

  40. I have seen this theory time and time again.  All that happens is the nicer neighborhoods, now forced to accept section 8 residents become not as nice neighborhoods.  It does not raise anyone up.   Geography does not hold people down, free rides hold them down.

  44. That's a good read and one I've shared on facebook.  The question is; what can we do about it?   I'm thinking that maybe the most useful approach is to, as a matter of legislation, get the state or our towns, counties, etc. to essentially make these kinds of raids illegal as a matter of law except for rare circumstances and even in those circumstances, with significant oversight to ensure that these 'SWAT" raids, no-knock warrants, etc are absolutely necessary.   Of course, that's not going to protect us from our imperial overlords like the IRS, DHS, DeptOfEd, DEA, BATFE, FBI, etc., etc.

  45. I'm a hypocrite. I tell most people that its a bad idea but I have no qualms about using it. I'm also VERY picky and patient. I'm fine with not taking a shot and going home empty handed. I wait for the perfect shot or take a pass. I use a Barnes bullet and put it either right on the heart or, of the stars are in alignment, I will put it in the head. *gasp!*. I can also shoot a half inch or less at a hundred with my CZ527. Side of the head between the ear and eye and they fall right there. Tis is not to be taken lightly though, too low and you can destroy the jaw and they will run away only to starve to death. It's incumbent on EVERY shooter to be absolutely honest with themselves about their skill and ability. It's also of the utmost importance that if you are going to take an animals life, do it fast and as painless as possible.

  46. The 223 if fine for perfectly placed shots.  The problem is you do not always have a perfect broadside shot.  In my opinion, the 223 is to small for the less than perfect shots. I want a little more power for shots that are not just punching through lungs.    Our jobs as hunters are to ethically take animals.  I would rather see a hunter use something more than the minimum required to give them a little leeway.  Of course this is my opinion and you know what they say about opinions...
