Hasan has declared he is an illegal enemy combatant and was so while wearing the uniform of the United States Army. Beyond being a terrorist, he is therefore also an enemy spy, and subject to being summarily executed on the battlefield. These statements have come out of his own mouth. Whether or not the United States is at war with islam, Hasan has declared that he and his radical islam are at war with the United States. Shoot him on the spot. Better yet, hang him, a coward´s death, and deny him his paradise. IMO.4 points

Special thanks to the team over at Out Post Armory for hooking me up with this. I was able to pick up a couple boxes of .22 Mag as you will see in the picture. I also happened to grab up a PMR 30 and some extra mags to go with them. For those that don't know, PMR 30 by Kel Tec holds 30 .22 magnums.3 points

Ohio Group Raises $12K To Buy Zimmerman Guns REGINA GARCIA CANO July 26, 2013, 2:11 PM COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio firearms group has raised more than $12,000 to be spent on guns or a security system for George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted in the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida. But the money could end up being used to pay for Zimmerman’s defense costs and fees. The $12,150.37 check that the group wrote to Zimmerman is the result of a fundraising effort that was launched because the group believes Zimmerman’s gun rights are being violated by the U.S. Department of Justice. The department has taken all the evidence from the trial, including the gun that killed Martin, as part of a civil rights investigation. Zimmerman was acquitted earlier this month of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the 2012 shooting of Martin in a gated community in Sanford, Fla., near Orlando. Zimmerman, 29, told police he shot Martin, 17, after the black teenager physically attacked him; Martin’s family and supporters say Zimmerman, who identifies himself as Hispanic, racially profiled Martin as a potential criminal and wrongly followed him. The verdict sparked protests and calls for federal officials to charge Zimmerman with violating Martin’s civil rights. Zimmerman’s brother and one of his attorneys have said he receives threats and is concerned about his safety. The Buckeye Firearms Foundation’s check is meant to be spent on guns, ammunition, protective gear or a security system, said Ken Hanson, the group’s legal chairman. “The Department of Justice refused to return him his gun, and he’s in need of protection,†Hanson said. “The money is intended to be used for anything he needs to defend himself or his family. He has complete discretion on how to use the money.†The cashier’s check was sent through certified mail and was scheduled to be delivered Friday. Zimmerman’s spokesman, Shawn Vincent, said before his acquittal all donations he received were deposited into a fund dedicated to pay for his legal defense costs and fees and managed by an independent administrator. He said the Ohio foundation’s check could be allocated similarly. Vincent would not say what the donations to the fund have amounted to. But he said they have exceeded the $120,000 that Zimmerman’s attorneys had said was needed to put on a good defense before the trial started in May. The fund had raised almost $315,000 in January. The Ohio foundation’s fundraiser, which began last week, ended Tuesday. Hanson said donations were sent from 48 states and three other countries. Vincent said Zimmerman has been offered free guns but such donations haven’t been accepted. ___ Contact Regina Garcia Cano at https://www.twitter.com/reginagarciakNO http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/ohio-group-raises-12k-to-buy-zimmerman-guns.php2 points

If he is put to death he will be viewed as a martyr by other muslims. His death will serve to inspire others to become martyrs. If they do it there should be no fan fair or even a press release stating he was executed. If they need to make a statement regarding his death it should read "Nidal Hisan, the Fort Hood shooter, died alone in his cell on Sunday. His death was apparently caused from him choking on the ham sandwich he requested for lunch after attending Christian church services. He will be cremated in the following weeks after an autopsy of his body." This should hopefully scare any other Muslim considering doing the same thing.2 points

I was behind one on an exit ramp off Briley that took it to too fast, hit the first post of the guard rail square and flipped a few times. Probably going 50-60. Got out to help, truck was laying on its side. Driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Windshield had a solid face print on the passenger side, with the driver contorted and semi-conscious on the pavement inside of the truck. I'm not a cop or an EMT. I took a 40 hour first responder course when I was 17 and remembered that you don't move someone with potential spinal injuries. So instead of trying to get him out of the truck in a more comfortable position I spoke to him through the windshield and explained why he needed to try to sit still as he may have neck/spinal injuries. If I know this than cops should know this. As to how they removed her from the vehicle, I can't say for certainty they didn't act according to what they knew in the heat of the moment. When you factor in her attempting to move the vehicle and being unresponsive to commands I suppose there is a high chance that the officers would interpret that the way they did. What is inexcusable is how they took someone with potential injuries or potential medical issues and put her face down on the pavement, handcuffed and just walked away. I don't care if it was for 10 seconds or 10 minutes. There is no excuse that ANYONE could ever come up with for that. Once she was secure the officers' next priority of work is to safeguard from injury and assess what they can from the accident victim in terms of injury, not put her on the pavement and walk away. That move was punitive and needs to be addressed.2 points

When I drive to visit my family in Missouri, I cross through Cairo IL from KY and am actually in CommieVille for a grand total of 45 seconds. On the trip up, I stop in Wickliffe, a mile before the bridge, unload, lock up pistol, box up ammo, and separate them as far as possible. After that dreadful 45 second ride through Cairo, I stop and re-free myself. On the way back, I do the same in reverse order. Its messed up because I almost feel like a bad guy trying to be sneaky to avoid getting busted, when I am one of the good guys. Absolutely disgusting!2 points

Hey guys, I would like to give a shout out to predator custom for the fast and AWESOME work they did on my SR1911. I got a smooth trigger job on this gun, and I just finally was able to get to the range to give it a shot. I was told it would be 3 weeks, when I dropped off my gun on a Saturday. It was ready in just 4 days on Tuesday. (I also got a smooth trigger job on my Kimber, and a broken ejector fixed, but I haven't fired the Kimber yet so I'll save that review for later). As soon as I get the $$ together I'm going to add some VZ grips to the gun. Without further ado, here are my targets from the Range. 10 shots fired per target, target on left at 3 yards, and target on right at 7 yards. These are the first shots I took with the gun once I got it back, no warm up :) In the first target I jerked the trigger pretty bad, and anticipated the recoil on that one low hole as you can see, but don't worry about that little guy. On the 7 yard target I feel like I was slightly jerking the trigger consistently to group left. These shots were taken standing, no rest, at Shooter's Depot. Very happy with Predator Custom and with my 1911. This one is a keeper and I will be giving more work to Predator.1 point

Going through a difficult time lately, and I have 1 rifle in the house. This may sound like someone wedded to the past, but that one rifle is my Garand. Recoil is quite manageable. It is a few pounds heavier than I'd really like these days, true - but I'm not up to playing action hero anymore, so very unlikely I'd have to tote it very far. The caliber will stop anything I'm likely to shoot at with a rifle - I can't recall ever hearing that 30-06 is an underperformer. I've even clipped up some black tip on the off chance I'm attacked by Christine. Clip fed, but I've plenty of clipped ammo on hand. 3 seconds to shove a new clip in and get back on sights, and that isn't trying for speed. Accuracy? Maybe mine is specially blessed or something, but I'm accustomed to 1 MOA. Iron sights, of course, but the best iron sights ever mounted on a bangstick.1 point

On one hand I believe he deserves death for his crime. On the other hand, can you think of a more appropriate sentence than living the next 30-40 years confined in your own body? That bullet that severed his spine did much more than incapacitate the threat, it doomed him to a life of confinement while confined. He gets to be inside his own head until his last day, and will have on demand health care to ensure he doesn't croak off too early.1 point

Robert, You're preaching to the choir on this one.... I don't spend money at businesses that post even if it's not a legal posting, period. They've made it clear to me they don't care about my safety, and I shouldn't encourage them to stay in business. I also don't buy into the business owners are smart they purposely post signs that aren't legal BS either... I'm a business owner, and I meet with other business owners all the time and they don't know *anything* about firearm laws unless they're HCP holders and often they still don't know anything about firearm laws ;) If a business has taken the time to post a no firearms allowed sign they think it legally prevents you from carrying on their property, and you're in complete denial to think otherwise. The one exception to this is some of the well crafted that state "No firearms except in accordance with state law" or something to that effect... that is a properly crafted sheeple sign :) But none of that changes the fact that 1359 is rarely enforced and we spend way too much time worrying about it on the forums :) Instead of the parking lots bill part 2 we should be focused on removing government property and land from 1359, because that is the one entity none of us can avoid doing "business" with and they don't have the right to prohibit law abiding citizens from carrying.1 point

I noticed the same sign the last time I went there. The girlfriend pointed it out (under the guise of the searching bags section). I just shrugged, and we went on our way. I've always felt these signs are a way for businesses to straddle the fence, appearing to appease both sides. Meh, I probably won't go back there any time soon, since I don't go to the movies all that often, but I do think it's a shame to see these kinds of postings popping up.1 point

I concur that East Tennessee is where you want to look. ORSA is a great facility with lots of opportunity for some competitive shooting, including monthly USPSA, Steel Challenge, 3-Gun, IDPA and SASS matches. Here is the thing, your Xbox one does not make you money, and you don't have tax payers to answer to. If they said screw the new arena the people that paid the tax would be up in arms. The people that paid for this don't live in the city of Detroit. The tax was implemented in the outlying areas. Only the CITY of Detroit has money issues. the County and all the other areas around there are perfectly fine and have offered to help but the City council and the residents do not want the "County (non-black)" helping them. I think that the City would have been fine if they would have let the state and surrounding area help them. Here is an analogy for all of you who like them. You have been saving up to get a better Semi to make more money. Yours is shot and you just lost your job because of it. Do you A. live off that savings just to keep the lights on or B. get the new semi and get more money coming back in one will keep the light on for a while the other will allow you to make money and keep them on longer. I know how I would go. I am not saying that I am proud of what is happening in Detroit but this is the one thing they have done to try and raise money. When you only have 700,000 residents and I would say 90-95 percent live on Government money it is hard to collect taxes. Most of the tax money Detroit gets comes from the Sports teams and casinos. I would do whatever I could to keep them from moving.1 point

I was an EMT, am a Registered Nurse and also a Tactical Medic for the S.O. I will not stand and defend these officers because I feel that their actions were wrong. I watched an old episode of COPS the other night and saw two officers tase a guy that was not following commands after he was ejected from a car. No S#*t is isnt following orders, who knows at this point what all is wrong with him. While it is not feasible to have every officer trained to be an EMT,certainly they can spend one day in the academy teaching some common sense tactics when it comes to dealing with unresponsive people.1 point

Thought about this some more and realized that, due to my rather catastrophic ankle injury earlier this year, it kinda' already has happened to my wife and I. I mean insofar as my becoming suddenly disabled with pretty much ZERO income for several months, it really gave a us a chance to test our preparations. Indeed if it weren't for the prepping we've done, we'd have been more or less completely helpless from the start. As it is we've gotten by reasonably well with just a little outside help from friends. It hasn't been fun, but we've learned a lot from it and now know what changes we need to make in future preparations to avoid the pitfalls we've encountered thus far. Question: "What if all of this is for nothing?" Answer: Then you count your freakin' blessing that you never actually had to put it to the test... And then you really give thanks that you've never stumbled and put a .357mag 158gr JHP through your ankle or suffered some other equally idiotic & crippling accident and had to suddenly find out the hard way whether your prepping ideas actually work. What if all of this is for nothing? Well, it's not for nothing --- Because it doesn't take a government or societal meltdown or an electro-magnetic pulse or even an earthquake to put it to the test. Just one stupid little accident... I found out the hard way that only Superman is truly invincible. The rest of us are frail and human and only one stupid little stumble away from finding out just how freakin' important prepping actually is. ...TS...1 point

The Chicagoland Gestapo are hard at work I see...yet another reason why I NEVER set foot in Illinois...if my unalienable right to keep and bear arms is not respected and protected then I know that my money is unwelcome. It's a shame too...I lived in North Chicago for a couple of years and for years after I moved I continued to visit Chicago's museums and theaters and restaurants (not to mention start my recurring trips down Route 66). I hope that the good people of Illinois (and I know there are many) will take their state back and restore sanity. Until then, I have been and will continue to drive AROUND Illinois to get to places and avoid spending a penny in the communist state of Illinois.1 point

I'm sorry but I simply can't agree. It looks bad on TV because IT IS BAD. Just because they got lucky that they didn't hurt her more is not sufficient to avoid punishment (and I can almost guarantee you that that if they've acted this stupidly and recklessly this time they've done it before and will do it again because stupidity and irresponsibility don't just magically appear once and then disappear). There are certain basic knowledge a first responded should know and I'm absolutely sure they've been taught and one of those basic pieces of knowledge is that you simply do not move an accident victim unless it's necessary to remove them from greater danger...this concept is so basic that I'd bet most grade school kids know it. I'm not suggesting that these cops should have their lives ruined but I'd suggest at least a month or two of leave without pay...something that will dip into their personal pocket book to get their attention and if the city is in any way training their officers to act this way then the city needs a damn good lesson too. Citizens aren't criminals and they need to be treated with dignity and respect; especially when they've just suffered an auto accident...the courts can take care of punishment for a driver later if it's warranted; responding officers should treat them as victims (because that's what they are); not criminals and what they did to this woman, aside from the risk of injury, was to treat her as a thug/criminal. She didn't deserve that treatment; they deserve to pay for their irresponsibility.1 point

Big difference between a whole police force of officer friendlies, and having a little common sense. If the womens plates came back as a felony warrant, or violent to officers thats one thing. Treating normal citizens like criminals, as more and more cops do everyday, is not acceptable. Police officers are hated and looked down upon because the majority of LEO interactions lead to this type of attitude. To many times I have seen a police officer drive right by someone with a flat tire, or car problems. No they are not repairmen, but an offer to call someone to help them would go a long ways. If cops wanna be liked, they need to lose the chip on their shoulder, the us vs them attitude, and start punishing those who do stupid stuff. You say a lawsuit would ruin his career? I say the man has no business being an LEO if that is how he conducts himself in that situation. It doesnt matter whether she had worse injuries or not because of their actions. The potential was there. If you discharge a firearm at a person, but miss, should you be turned loose because you didnt hit them and they sustained no injuries?1 point
-
Drunk or not or whether there is a history of this on her part is irrelevant to the treatment she should receive after an accident. If a drunk gets into a crash and injure themselves it doesn't mean they deserve more injury at the hands of officers. It would be different if the drunk was trying to get away or was combative. Obviously she was neither, so why take a woman who may need medical attention or may be suffering from a medical condition, leave her face down on the pavement and walk away? Not as if I have sympathy for drunk drivers, but the officers still have a professional job to do and I don't think that is what I'm seeing here. Of course, the other side of the coin is that these officers are people too and they make mistakes. This may be a relatively small mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. When stuff like that happens the public deserves to hold their public servants responsible. Then the other thing is to ask yourself a question, "what if this was your wife or daughter?" I realize that is an emotionally charged question, but I think we would all be seeing red if we saw a family member suffering a serious medical condition being left on the hot pavement face down.1 point
