On another note, Madam Chair has nothing to worry about since nobody has any intention of raping her or doing anything otherwise sexual with her whether voluntary or involuntary. I guess when you're a disgusting overweight manbeast of a woman, things like protecting yourself from rape isn't a concern. I'll have to remember to tell my wife and daughter to render themselves unattractive, grotesque female forms to prevent attack. That is morally superior than putting a bullet into a rapist, right?5 points

Still trying to find a source of this information other than some guy's blog. I could say the DHS just bought 2,700 Tie Fighters but it doesn't make it true and it doesn't mean DHS is building a Death Star.2 points

I've used CCI 400 small rifle in my 9mm loads and they work fine in my Springfield XDm's. I've shot a few hundred of them so far and no issues with light strikes and I see no evidence of gas leaking past primers. Over my chrono the 400 small rifle primers produced slightly higher velocities than the same bullet/powder combo using 500 small pistol primers. I backed off 0.1 grain of powder when using 400's after those measurements and velocities are now approximately the same as with the 500's. That said, I'll buy the 500's again when I can. Last time I was looking I could not find them but got a deal on a bunch of 400's.1 point

Because the 7.62x39 is a fast burning round. It basically maxes out at 16" anyway. IIRC the drop off is only a few hundred FPS from 16" to 12.5/10.25". Being that it is a 300 yrd round to begin with the velocity drop combined with the .30 cal bullet within the same range means the performance difference is negligible. In the SBR form, it essentially takes it to .300 Blackout range. I'm sure someone will come along and state the stats, but that is the basic rundown.1 point

So do many other reps on other states, as their laws also affect me. So do businesses in NY and other states that I've notified, even closed accounts, even non-gun companies. Sportsman's Guide got a notice that they will lose my business if Minnesota passes their ban. Concentrated fire is one thing, but it's a target rich environment out there. If it moves (toward gun control) shoot it (by first amendment means, not second!)1 point

The Liberal Left must villianize conservative values, capitalism and our constitution to punch through the wall of freedom that these items guarantee each of us. These attacks have never been so open and bold as they are now in this time of our nations history. The liberals open show their contempt for all of these in word and in deed, especially the constitution which makes it all possible. This has been many years in the making. WE Just happen to be living in, or very close the final push to change our form of government to a form of socialism. I believe it will be the Marxist form, because of certain leaders in our government's interest in it and their association with others that share this interest. Its also interesting to note that history shows many times Socialist countries became socialist via military coup.1 point

Can we put a moratorium on defining the term "price gouging" or at least just agree that "price gouging" and "free market" are interchangeable terms until this current round of douchebaggery is over.1 point
-
Retailers are going to sell this stuff right now, it is not going to sit on their shelves collecting dust. If anything stores that are putting limits on ammo and components are doing us average Joe's a favor. It would be easier for them to sell their entire stock to the first scalper that comes in as opposed to spreading it out over several customers.1 point

Best way to deal with gougers is to refuse to pay their prices. Last gunshow I went to, I'm pretty sure I pissed off a few vendors. Now, typically I'm not a confrontationalist and I made it a point to not SAY a word but when flipping over price tags I can't stifle a good laugh and I'm not going to try. If you wanna sell a base model AR for $1500 go for it, it's a free country. I'm also free to laugh at you for it. If they wanna buy up the market and sit on it. Let them. When they get hung with a load of goods, that'll be the best pay back ever.1 point

I have a better idea. Disband the IRS and take those agents and put them on the border. It works out to 16 agents per mile. Surely we can protect the border with an agent every 100 yards. And that is on both borders. Dolomite1 point

I copied this from another forum. Hey Choir, more ammo: ... in Chicago, Illinois. Hmmmm.... why do you suppose we never hear about this on the evening news??? 446 school age children shot in Chicago in 2012 The city with the strongest gun laws in country – media silent!. The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media. In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in the leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago since the end of 2012. So, why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago ’s tough gun laws? Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities? Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light? Amazingly, no Obama crocodile tears either. For those of you have not gotten the point of this post yet, it’s to make the point about gun laws. No matter how tough the gun laws are, the crazed, nut jobs will find a way to get them and if they so chose, use them. No draconian law can stop this, no matter how well intentioned the law is, or if it’s just about leftists grabbing power from citizens and taking away their constitutional rights. 446 School Age Children Shot in Chicago so Far This Year THE LIST OF SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN SHOT IN 2012 by age: • 18 year old- 110 • 17 year old- 99 • 16 year old- 89 • 15 year old- 62 • 14 year old- 39 • 13 year old- 21 • 12 year old- 10 • 11 year old- 2 • 10 year old- 3 • 9 year old- 1 • 7 year old- 3 • 6 year old- 2 • 5 year old- 1 • 4 year old- 1 • 3 year old- 1 • 1 year old- 2 Wow, is Illinois and Chicago great or what? Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago? Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago. (Meanwhile, handguns are banned) No concealed carry in Illinois There were 221 killed in Afghanistan, fewer than were killed in Chicago AND Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the entire US. Here’s the Political Cast of Characters from Chicago: President : Barack Hussein Obama Senator: Dick Durbin House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr. (recently resigned) Governor: Pat Quinn House leader: Mike Madigan Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike) Mayor: Rahm Emanuel The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago . Of course, they're all blaming each other. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he is going to 'fix' Washington politics for us??? George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the big house (Prison). Of course, he was replaced by Rob Blajegovitch who is...that's right, also in the big house. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago. That is because he is fighting being sent to...that's right, the big house.1 point

If the object is to make yourself more prepared to deal with likely situations you might face then you really need to train with the same kind of equipment and clothing you will likely be wearing when you have to use it for real. If the object is to have a fun "dude ranch " type experience then bring and wear whatever you like...it is your fantasy dress however you like. People ask me what to bring to pistol class. If it is a pistol class I tell them to bring what they really carry and wear what they really wear as THAT is what they will be using when they get jumped in a parking lot. People ask me what to bring to rifle classes. I ask them to do a SERIOUS assessment of their likely use of the rifle and then dress accordingly. Are they Mil guys? Bring your gear and wear it for the whole class. Police? Wear your vest and duty rig if you like. Civilian? Bring whatever you REALLY will use to carry mags. If that is one mag in the gun and a spare in your back pocket of your pants then good for you for training the way you are really going to be using it. Train as you will fight. Otherwise it is just tactical entertainment.1 point
-
My experience tells me you will draw and fire without thinking about your equipment and you will fire where and how you have trained; chances are you will not have time to do anything else. My training was firing into center body mass without using sights. If you think you will have time to get a sight picture or make a head shot; train that way. If I were a “Shot placement guy†I would be dead.1 point
