Mine is a union guy to, What the hell is it with unions?? He brags that he doesn't even look at name he just votes Dem down the line. On a side note, When she and I first married he called one night and she was in the bathroom. I explained that she was in-disposed at the time and would call him back. He did not know what the term "in-disposed" meant and got all pissed off and accused me of trying to keep her form talking to him. After a big hullabaloo about it, he called agian a few nights later. When I answered and he asked for her I just said "hang on she is right here under me." To this day now her mom is the only one that calls.3 points

I'm getting tired of people buying up every last round and just hoarding it to sell. If you're buying it to shoot great, but if you're hoarding or re-selling screw you.2 points

She wasn't there in person. They just put her on for a brief moment to say who won best picture. They asked her to do it, it wasn't like she lobbied for it. I think we have bigger things to worry about than the first lady announcing who won the best picture. These types of threads just make us look like a bunch of 10 year old's who had a ball taken away. I don't like his policies anymore than you do, but these types of comments just make us look like a bunch of whiny losers.2 points

The 64 was way ahead of the game.. Crazy how things work out like they do.. When I heard they came out with the classic I searched high and low for a 7mm.. Found one at BPS in Springfield MO. Was there for the fall fest they have each year.. Me, being me and not thinking outside my blinders should had gotten the only two they had.. Kick in the ass, the other was a .308.. Me!! being Me!! said to myself, "Self, you dont need two .308"s" Its a moment i still look back on.. I personally know of no one else with a classic..1 point

Hot damn! That was by far some of the best action this season. Last episode and now this, I am loving Raylan shootin' again. "I sure hope I got that right."1 point

It probably would have gone over better if you hadn't put their heads on miniature poles all around the bird feeders.1 point

You know, I don't see a reason to buy anything but pmags from now on. I've got a few Colt GI 20s&30s and I'll keep them, along with the three troys I've got, but from now on its magpul or I'll wait. Same for stocks and foregrips, there is lots of good stuff out there but I'll stick with MOE from now on.1 point

for those that need them mid south will have them in stock later today for pre panic prices1 point

Ya I hate to say it but we are all adding to the problem. Those of you who didn't stock ammo months if not years ago have no excuse. You can't claim you didn't have the money because obviously if you can afford to pay 2x as much now you could have bought ammo months ago for a fraction of the cost. Everyone needs to calm down, stop snatching up every box you find and let supply catch up with demand. If need be just hang on to what you have for the next few months until things settle down.1 point

I would definatly advise agains harsh cleaners or solevents. I didn't have any issues but then again I'm not a messy cleaner either. I use cotton swabs for just about all lowers.....1 point

We just picked up 20 bricks of .22 for about $350, not that we need it, but it was a good price and I don't care if Leroy or Larry get a chance to have a couple of extra bullets cause I wanted them and found them first. The only problem that occurred is that I bought them before someone else did and now they are running around mad for no reason.1 point

I had possums under my house. I used a live trap with cat food just outside the entrance point. Caught them all, one at a time. Then they suddenly died.1 point

The deer carcass guy was the lone prisoner that Rick threw out to the walkers. The character's name was "Andrew". Oscar killed him at the end of "Killer Within" down in the generator room. The one watching from the woods was also Andrew, since that camera shot stopped being used after they killed him and it was associated with the one who left the deer carcass. It was discussed in one of The Talking Dead aftershows, IIRC. If there was a tattoo insconsistency, it was just a goof, not a plot line. The sniper in the watchtower is dead. Headshot. They showed it in slow-mo on The Talking Dead during their "In Memoriam" bit. The zombie-wagon was the Gov's. 3.5 is slow....This last epipsode did nothing much to move the story along. I'm still trying to figure out their transportation choices. It's the end of the world and the best things they can find are a 1996 Dodge Ram, a Hyundai Tucson, and Dale's old broke-down POS Winnebago? Looks like it finally bites them in the next episode. Tallahassee had the right idea....1 point

Pretty sure I'd move the candle in the center of the table and just leave that bad boy right in the middle. I would look at it and small all during my meal.1 point

times have certainly changed. When I was in 7th grade, my science fair project was on bullet penetration. I shot a bunch of calibers and different bullet types into a block of nailed together pieces of plywood. I had the recovered slugs on my presentation board. I can't imagine the s*&%-storm that would result from that today. Come to think of it, in 2nd grade we had to do a project on Indians. For that, my dad and I made a pretty authentic (and functional) bow and arrow. They'd probably throw a 7 year old in jail for bringing something like that to school now.1 point

I have never heard of an insurance company working with you to remove a down tree, except when it lands on the house, car, neighbors. It did land on a fence which might be enough for them to do a removal. Here is the reason I would not make an insurance claim. Homeowners and automotive insurance companies can and have in the past dropped customers after too many claims. I know someone who had them bundled and after a roadside claim, a wreck, and requesting a new roof from hail damage she got a letter that she had 30 days of coverage left. A tree that may or may not cost as much as a deductible to remove isn't worth contacting them about. As long as your yard is solid, I think you could find someone to cut it up and haul it off as firewood for no more than $200. I know a guy that would drop that tree and haul it off for probably $200.1 point

You will get a plant but may not get any fruit. Most of the store bought veggies are hybrid and may not reproduce. Or so I'm told.1 point

Most sawmills will not take trees from around houses. They have a fear someone hung, for example, a hoe in one of the branches and the tree grew around it. Oak does not make good fence posts.1 point

Who would have thought that my disgust at our imperial president, the man who took AF1 to NY for a night out at a Broadway play while a good number of us are unemployed or underemployed, would cause such a ruckus. I guess I just assumed others would see it as emblematic of the attitude of the man in the office and his disregard for the country and the constitution. Must have been my whiny 10 yr old causing trouble. Good night folks.1 point

I agree with OS and Hozzie as well ( so sign me up for being a real prick too I guess, :) ) I could care less about the Academy Awards and could even care less than that when the Mrs. Big O made an appearance to announce a winner. Surely we have better stuff to bitch about.1 point

As does blowing the name of the movie in rebuttal. :) :) However, I agree with your other points. And I'll buy from from CTD again when they have something I want at the price I'm willing to pay. 'Cause I'm a whore, and my bucks are largely apolitical if not outright amoral. - OS1 point

On the other hand, if it's going there, the sooner the better. SCOTUS will only get more liberal/progressive soon.1 point

Sounds great. Hope you enjoy the Brown Bear and that it shoots well for you. No one asked you not to advise others. You were, in fact, thanked for doing so. Meanwhile, CTD will still never see another dollar of MY money.1 point

The only one I question, but I would not make it a law I don't think, is reporting stolen firearms. For obvious reasons, I'd report mine if they were stolen. However, if for some reason I did not want to report them as stolen, I should not be made too.1 point

I carry my glock 26 in my front pocket in a desantis nemesis. .almost always wearing loose fitting cargo or khaki pants or cargo shorts. . so I would say "Hey take off those xray glasses" or "get your hand out of my pocket". . unless of course it were Mila Kunis. . then I would say. . "go right ahead Ms Kunis. . help yourself. . anything in or around there you like just let me know". . . yep thats how that would go. . . :cool:1 point

I agree with you, but the Republicans are not without blame. They are all in this shell game together and the American public is the recipient of the crap soup that they are serving. Good point. I say "Cut Everything" in the sense that the only way that the government will look at budget cuts objectively is if everything is on the table. No, I really do not believe that the elderly, poor or veterans should suffer because of stupid politicians. I do believe that as long as some politicians can protect their sacred cows, the needed budget cuts won't be reasonably done.1 point

Some folks refer to our two major political parties as 'The Evil Party' and 'The Stupid Party'. Certainly at the national level, the Republican Party qualifies as 'stupid'. It seems that even here in TN, we have plenty of Republicans that qualify for that label.1 point
-
I have been a staunch Republican supporter for close to 25 years now. Looking back, I agree whole heartedly with the OP. Republicans (national level) would rather compromise than stand the ground or push it in your face mentality like the dems do. I understand that leadership is the ability to influence others, it is not caving or whimping out. If the republicans want to take or be in a leadership role, they need to lead, not follow or whimp out. I was somewhat intrigued a few years ago with the Tea party, still had some reservations, but nonetheless found them to be intriguing. My desire is for the republicans to stand their ground. If you are going to go down, go down fighting, not fading or whimping away. BTW The state level republicans are feisty. The national republicans could learn alot from those state pesty young ones! Unless all national republicans began their public service at the state level, and they have lost their way which I suspect.1 point

He couldn’t get elected. I’m not sure any conservative, or even any Republican could. Those that don’t want to work, want a handout from the government, support gun control and unlimited immigration; are unfortunately becoming the majority voting. Our nation is in distress.1 point

The Republican party is probably going to go by the way side like the Whig party. The Democrats are out to destroy all opposition (and doing it).1 point

I don't consent to anything more than I am legally and morally obligated to. I have great respect for local law enforcement and will assist them if I have knowledge that will help them solve a real crime. I will not assist an officer in a fishing expedition. The officer can either have PC that he can defend in front of a judge (because he will have to) or he can fuck off and go do his job and let me get on with my day.1 point
