So what was the point of that last post? Were you trying to insinuate that someone is a sociopath? Maybe we can get off the topic of trying to insult others or comparing our intelligence and get back to the discussion and the merrits of each persons views. TMF, Myself and many others maintain that in order to effectively train tier one units must go outside the normal channels. This provides them with the most realistic trainig that they can get and prepares whem for their global mission. You seem to take issue that it is not a controlled enviornment and poses an undue risk to civilian wellbeing. My natural argument to that would again be that the local agencies and governments signed off on it, so obviously they did not see a significant risk there. Additionally anyone who has planned training will tell you risk reduction and midigation are a a major part of the training plan. It has also been argued that there are other areas these units could have trained. This is only partially true those large dedicated training areas are usually reserved by units up to a year out and therefore not necessarily available for a rapid deploying unit to take advantage of. Additionally those areas do not have true high rise buildings and the complications that come along with them. Finally that unit may have already trained in those areas so many times that it was beleived they had maximised the training available from that area and had to move on to new training grounds to change it up. Others beleive that the US military has no business training in US cities, to which i would counter that the US military has a standing mandate to conduct defensive operations for this nation. Depriving them of the ability to train in cities that would likely be targets if any type of enemy attack or invasion were ot happen would be depriving them of the homefield advantage.3 points

excessive force. Now if you can remember how hard you were pushing, try to push less hard than that from now on. Useless comment aside, really, primers should only take a gentle push to go in.2 points

Reminds me of the Robert Duvall film Tender Mercies Woman with Groceries: Hey, mister, were you really Mac Sledge? Mac Sledge: Yes, ma'm, I guess I was.2 points

He gets on there and tells what a great weapon this is and then says Ronnie Barrett refused to comment. What’s Ronnie Barrett supposed to say “Thanks for the advertisement Or “Thanks for the unprovoked attack on my company. I’m disappointed that Channel 5 would allow Phil Williams to attack a company that supports our local economy with jobs and product, and our military with high quality weapons that help keep them alive. We have to fight for any 2nd amendment rights, while this dirtbag hides from responsibility behind the 1st. If the investigative segment is so slow they need to attack a business owner and an icon in this industry… then it’s time to cut that segment from the news.2 points

send emails to the advertisers on the channel, not to the news channel themselves.2 points

You have 300,000 handgun carry permits in TN, which is a fraction of the gun owners. How many cops in TN? The civilian market is pretty big these days.2 points

I would have liked to have been alive when the stone was rolled away from Jesus's tomb and to have been able to have witnessed it. Other than that I'm happy where God saw fit to put me.2 points

+1000 If the 2nd Amendment is about hunting and skeet shooting, then the 1st is about scrabble and crossword puzzles. :-)2 points

Thought I would share my reloading setup. I'm a bit partial to Dillon but I do have a few custom arbor presses and other goodies inside the cabinets.1 point

Sorry if this is a repeat topic, I looked but only saw it mentioned briefly in another thread. I read this bill and I like it allot. Seems like it would do away with having to get tax stamps on firearms and firearm accessories, on top of all the rest, making all firearms safe in Tennessee. Especially if they are made in Tennessee. http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/108/Bill/SB0250.pdf Section 5: 4-54-107 (b) Any federal action shall be deemed an intentional violation of state sovereignty and shall be unenforceable within the borders of Tennessee if the federal action does or attempts to: (3) Impose federal taxes, fees or any other charges on any state government, local government or civilian owned firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition that are payable to any government entity. Does anyone know the status of this Bill?1 point

There's so much information flowing these days, we all miss stuff. Add the fact that a lot of the information is bad, and it's hard to get your arms around reality. Here's what we know. Obama hates guns, and holds a shotgun like a girl :)1 point

Typical liberal smear campaign. If you don't like something, demonize it until you have enough votes to kill it.1 point

It's their style and they just can't help it anymore. Once BHO got that unexpected help from John Roberts grasping at legal straws, they're just gonna stick everything in and break it off. - OS1 point

Very Nice video. I like how you marked them for us. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I figured the Rhino would be have better recoil. Less than half it looks like But I've seen pictures on the insides of one of those, and it look WAY over engineered. I still might have to try one out if I ever get a chance.1 point

My wife and I are almost there. We are actually tonight going to experiment with an old antenna that I have. If it picks up the digital stations okay, we are out of dish. We have one of those converter boxes from a couple of years ago in the closet just in case our flat panel is not ready. I too don't watch or try to avoid the national news anymore. I do drink the Foxnews koolaide website, and I do read some foreign media sources on the U.S., just to see a different view.1 point

My take, they could say NOTHING, be politically expedient and keep their heads down. I for one am glad to see them issue at least that statement. We will get nada from Mayors and their politically appointed Chiefs of Police.1 point
-
They leave themselves too much wiggle room in that statement. Even the gun banners say they support the Constitution! That Sheriff's group out of Oregon said it best in their letter. Come on, Tennessee!1 point

Well just got back, we had a blast. That range is awesome. The ArmaLite worked flawlessly. It's owner however is a numbnut. I got it out, loaded the magazine, and got into position. I flipped on the red dot and could barely make out the dot, battery was almost dead! I was so mad....at myself. Extra batteries were on top of my safe, not in my bag. So I was still able to get 25 rounds off before the dot disappeared. All in all, it was a great time. Can't wait to go again.1 point

As always, I'm a little late to the party, but... Keep my Remington 870 Express 12 ga. bed side, 6 in the tube and empty chamber. Have my Glock 19 or Kimber .45 on night stand (no children), magazine inserted with chamber empty. Reason being. Getting up in the middle of the night groggy to take a leak and if lucky, shoot a 90% x ring and 10% fail to neutralize. With the completion of the fire drill stub my toe on the way back. Now do I really want to be fumbling with a hot gun when groggy & clumsy? Of course most of it I blame on age.1 point
