1. A union boss walks into a bar next door to the factory and is about to order a drink to celebrate Obama's victory when he sees a guy close by wearing a Romney for President button and two beers in front of him. He doesn't have to be an Einstein to know that this guy is a Republican. So, he shouts over to the bartender so loudly that everyone can hear, "Drinks for everyone in here, bartender, but not for the Republican." Soon after the drinks have been handed out, the Republican gives him a big smile, waves at him, then says, "Thank you!" in an equally loud voice. This infuriates the union boss. So the union boss once again loudly orders drinks for everyone except the Republican. As before, this does not seem to bother the Republican. He continues to smile, and again yells, "Thank you!" So just to make his point one more time, the union boss once again loudly orders drinks for everyone except the Republican. But, as before, this does not seem to bother the Republican. He continues to smile, and again yells, "Thank you!" Frustrated, the union boss asks the bartender, "What the devil is the matter with that Republican? I've ordered three rounds of drinks for everyone in the bar but him, and all the idiot does is smile and thank me. Is he nuts?" "Nope," replies the bartender. "He owns the place."

 6. Its ignorance and hate on the part of most of the people that attack that flag. Its ignorance and distortion of facts that they teach in the schools today that the Civil war was fought over slavery. When I was in school they taught that it was fought over States Rights. Did something change between now and 50 years ago? Of course it did. Its hate in that many people see that flag as a sign of racism because many people fly that flag as a sign of racism. Does that mean we shouldn’t be allowed to fly it? It’s coming to that. I was born 100 miles from the Capitol of the Confederacy, and if I had been alive at the time of the war I would have fought on the side of the south. However, I get tired of the ignorant people that think because I moved here from Illinois I am a Yankee. I am not apologizing, make no mistake about it, the North is my home and it’s hopefully where I will return to retire. The war is over, and it has been for 147 years; the South lost, get over it. But none of us alive today fought in that war. Anyone that pays any attention to my posts knows that I am an unyielding defender of States Rights to the point where as I have said many times States Rights trumps the 2[sup]nd[/sup] Amendment, has since the civil war, and there isn’t any other way the SCOTUS can rule than the way they are now. The South may have lost the war, but they made sure no one wants to fight that war again. It was because of this we have the States Rights we have today. All Confederate flags are part of history. They can be flown proudly. The people that don’t want them flown, and the people that make their dumbazz remarks about “Yankees” are both showing their ignorance.
Why are they passing around gifts for an Islamic holiday in a public school?
I'm not aware if the school had a policy against allowing students being allowed to bring Christmas gift bags for other students. If they do, this would be discriminatory and wrong, but I'm sure there is no rule against Christmas gift bags if a parent wants to hand them out to the other kids. I have no issue against my kid coming home with a Ramadan gift bag. He won't turn into a Muslim and I won't be offended, unless I am not allowed to do the same in regard to Christmas. Maybe one of the parents can hand out dreidels and share some rich Jewish traditions with the Muslim kid.

 9.
I guess I find humor in how people can be suckered into reading obviously biased news articles and accept them as fact.
I find it humorous, as well. People will believe what they want to believe, regardless of fact. Some people see government conspiracies in everything. There are the 9/11 Truthers, FEMA campers, Birthers, and now we have the FEMA/DHS/Hitler Youth Corps-whatever-you-want-to-call-it-to-make-it-seem-more-nefarious bull#### to look forward to. A while back, some poor sap on TGO posted a satirical video by The Onion, and was all up in arms because he thought it was real. It was on the internet, and it fit his conspiracy delusions, so it must have been true. I got a wonderful laugh out of that one. Edit: Reading the article again, I get a good laugh at his reference to the "backward" USA flag on these evil FEMA vehicles. The author is so ignorant, he doesn't even understand the regulations about displaying the US Flag on vehicles/uniforms. Ignorance is bliss, at least for him. I wonder what he says about the way the flag is displayed on the left side of the FEMA death car.

 12. if you had friends or family who fought under the swastika would it still be okay to fly that? Or stick it in your ear as the case may be? The civil war was over 150 years ago, the south lost. Time to move on. It is kind of fun to wonder where we would all be had the south won. Harry Turtledove addressed it, great reading. As to his version, are things better or worse, I dunno. I occasionally fly a confederate flag, but if I was an entertainer making money from my appearances I would rethink my stance on it. I seriously wonder what he is trying to say by this thing. Truly the stars and bars offend people. I understand the history with it, and the legacy it has left. It bothers me not in the least. If I was a black man it would probably piss me off. if I had a neighbor who was angered by my flying of that flag I would ease up on it. I am not sure I understand all the hubub about his. Why stir the pot, and for what reason?

 14. It's a sad state of affairs when a public education and brain washing fouls your own children, and it's all my fault. I suspect I'm not alone in my failures, as documented in the latest presidential election. During their upbringing I was very busy making a living, doing home repairs, cutting the grass, and taking some time for myself hunting and fishing. I neglected their critical thinking thought process and left that to the public schools and my liberal wife. Long story short... My kids came down from Illinois to my home in Tennessee for Thanksgiving and spent a few days with us. All my kids are now adults and productive citizens of society. As a parent, you love your children unconditionally, period! But you sure can lose allot of respect on their choices and narrow minded thinking! Seems the younger generation now thinks they are owed something, and want instant gratification in owning a new home, two new cars, and keep up with the Joneses at tax payers expense. The working hard and saving for the future is not necessary, I'll borrow it and get it right now! During the course of their visit, the subject of politics came up and we discussed who we voted for. My son said he voted for Obummer because he was pro union, because he has a union job? My daughter said she voted for Obummer also because, he is articulate and looked better on TV? Damn, what a failure their father is, not spending any time informing them growing up on politics and its effects! Whether you want to admit it or not, I believe this is one reason we're in the shape we are in today. Our children have been brain washed in the public education system and not enough parental involvement to counter the socialist movement. My beliefs are so strong on our American freedoms and rights, I almost want to distance myself from them? When they need money and help, I'm tempted to tell them to ask Obummer for assistance. I can't believe my own children believe, as Americans, they are owed something, and entitled? My BAD... and it hurts.

Trace Adkins explains Confederate flag earpiece http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/11/30/trace-adkins-explains-confederate-flag-earpiece/?intcmp=features Some people need to just get over themselves. All of the political correctness and the constant apologizing is getting old. I'm a former yankee, got healed of that in 1974. I don't see the problem with a Confederate flag period. It doesn't represent what liberals and those who would claim to be politically correct say that it does. They need to get over it. I could make a list of things that offend me and cry about them (NAACP, BET, UNCF, CBCF, etc.), but I say live and let live. Give it a rest already.

 29. One thing I don't understand is the apparent double standard that exists in these issues...the Confederate flag is perceived as racist by many...as would be any references to white magazines, beauty pageants, magazines, tv channels/shows, college funds, etc...yet calling those same things BLACK seems to be just fine. What about all the black racist things you see in public everywhewre, why is that ok? Last year I saw a black lady on a new show, cant remember which, but they were talking about racism, and she she was asked if something or other was racist, and she replied, "NO! Blacks cant be racist, only whites." I just don't understand how that works. I also like that flag. Its a symbol to me of my heritage. Years ago, I decided not to display it publicly because it just seemed to cause controversy, and I dont want to have to hurt someone over a flag. I accepted that perception sometimes is important.

 30. I saw a topic on another forum, where CCI Quiet was not that accurate. My son and I thought we would do some video and post the results. We shot CCI Quiet at 50 yards using a Savage TRR-SR. Shot off a bipod, scope at 6X and through a can. I've tried w/o can at the range and it's the same without at this distance. We both shot a couple 5 round groups. Mine last one was best (he often beats me) so below are the results. Group was 1.105". Had I not had the flyer, .810". I will add, we both have done much better, but this is "typical" and does illustrate, this is "decent" ammo for the intendid application. That is, backyard shooting and not ****ing off neighbors! Earlier video of target distance. Shooting at the boxes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdhx7wnePXc Results today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxwFQKzZPgI Note: For comparison sake with Wolf and Eley match, this rifle has done well under MOA with a best so far of .850" at 100 yards. Also, I have shot enough of this ammo to notice, there is some deviation on the powder here and there. Every so often, you will get a loud crack. This ammo does exactly what I want through a can. It's quieter than an air rifle, but more accurate (at longer distance) and more resistant to wind. Only drawback is, you wind up with a lot of brass on the patio! Too little time to make up grounds in relationships immediately after the championship - NSD is ~ one month later. Regardless, ND should have great recruiting classes in the near future.
Generally yes, this is the case. There are still a few recruits that are on the fence between ND and usc, and some other schools. ND has a top 5 class as it is, 2 or 3 top recruits in the right places this year could push that closer to the top spot and be a monster haul. Especially if they were top talent in secondary and a top running back.

 41. In 1992, I came to Nashville to look at Vanderbilt's engineering program. As an afterthought, I visited Lipscomb while I was here. One of their professors, Ralph Nance took a couple of hours out of his day to sit down with me, answer my questions about engineering in general and offer me some guidance on finding an appropriate program. During that time, I watched him interact with multiple students on a first name basis, both in and out of the department. I hadn't seen that elsewhere, and looking back, I can say that he talked me into going there - whether he realized it or not. I later went to grad school at the Univeristy of Washington. I remember wondering how I was going to stack up in a big school with a lot of Pacific Rim students, having received the majority of my engineering education at the time from three men (twenty years later they've got six ABET accredited programs). I was presently surprised. On a complete side note, LINKS2K make sure that you guys look at all of the scholarship options right now! Currently in America, we're graduating about 10K fewer engineering grads than are retiring each year. There's a true brain drain going on. Couple that with the fact that A LOT of foreign governements are sending blocks of their students to American universities, and essentially making deals with schools saying, "we'll pay full price for 20 students so long as you agree to accept all of them." I lectured in an engineering class at Vanderbilt the other day that had 20 students in it, and 16 of them were foreign nationals. You can posit anything you want about this from a political perspective, but what it means for the American engineering student is that there is a lot of scholarship money that's being left on the table every year. As a general rule, if you're working with a good engineering faculty at the undergrad level, you shouldn't have to pay a dime to go to grad school as an American engineering student. Vanderbilt is even having a hard time filling graduate fellowships due to the fact that so many of them have ITAR restrictions associated with them, yet they can't find American students to fill them. I'm always happy to talk with any perspective engineering students. We need more good ones in this country.

 43. But wait, this can't be true because ALL officers are bad people. It has to be staged or something. I know what it is, the officer is "planting" the boots on the homeless guy's feet to arrest him for theft. It doesn't take a lot to change a persons day, month or even their year. And you can find all kinds of needy people right now. Those simple boots could have saved the guys life or at a minimum his feet from frost bite later in the year. $75 isn't a lot and all of us would agree that the money was well spent. Now is the time to do random things to help your fellow man. My wife and I do it, but not as often as we probably should or have in the past. I really doesn't take a lot to help someone. And it doesn't even take any money to help, we all have old jackets or clothing that can be either donated or given directly to change change lives. Dolomite

An extra copy is delivered to Feinstein and the Brady group so that when they come for the guns...they will know exactly where to go. Bloomberg machines serve double duty to track all owners in real time. The gun's receivers are made from grade BB chinese pot metal and the wood made from a 2x4 soaked in dioxin. But other than that they are 100% like any other gun sent via a distributor.

I predict that we may well hear the rumble of a few earth boring nukes in the neighborhood of Iran in a few days. I say: "...God bless the pesky jews (...He will anyway...)...". I think this will look pretty much like the Osirak Reactor Raid in the early eighties and the Syrian raid (...alKibar; i think....). The world (...including the great Nobama and his pimps...) will take turns villifying the jews in the UN for being warmongers; but it wont make any difference. The guilty will be dead, incenerated, or just blowed up. The pesky jews will have cleaned up another problem without the help of the rest of the world. They will be villified for it; but the world will owe them a great debt of gratitude. The jews dont need our help; it's just a "nice to have". I say: "....Sickem IDF and IDAF!! Kill 'em till they leave ya alone (...again...)....". leroy

He will not raise a finger against any Muslim country in Israel's defense, including Palestine. Then Israel will make public statements against the US for not honoring their promise of support. Then Obama will declare it will no longer support Israel as a recognized independent state. Obama is looking for a reason to distance itself from Israel and this may be what he needs.
