  1. He's not the governor of a blue state anymore. That has nothing to do with now. Everything I've read about that legislation was that is was actually an improvement in gun rights over what it replaced. What would he have gained by vetoing the legislation, and possibly derailing something much more important. Gun laws in Mass are just gonna suck. He may have helped make them better. Jesus himself couldn't make them not suck. He has been clear about his pro 2a position as president, which is what's on the table now. He doesn't have an anti-gun agenda. Obama does.

  2. I know some of you do not support Israel as vehemently as I do. A few here may just be downright anti semitic about it. I don't wanna debate that. Just think about some of the things they do over there. Their logic is undeniable. They have stores of outdated but perfectly serviceable weapons. Instead of disposing or selling them, what do they do? Put them to use by God! Looks like a teacher on a field trip or something sporting a M1 Carbine. Hmph, and you wonder why you've never heard of school shooting [like ours] in Israel. I would LOVE to know I had a child in school where the teacher has served, been trained and qualified with a rifle he/she carries everywhere they go. It's beautiful.

  3. Reading comprehension fail. The poll is not about how this community will vote, but rather who this community thinks will win. For that reason, I did not include other choices -- this protects any such members from the embarrassment of acknowledging their lunacy in public. - OS

  4. A society like what? One with balls and a spine. An attitude of "I will fight my enemies to the death, I will defend my family and loved ones with my life"? A society that hasn't been neutered by political correctness and not only accept but embrace survival of the fittest. To secure the peace, you must prepare for war. Apathy is death. Raise a family with love and understanding but defend them with a fist of iron and a heart of stone??? I could go on but I won't. It's beautiful to me. Unlike the spineless castrated cowardly pissants being perpetuated [not by us here at TGO] in this once great country.

  5. Statement had nothing to do with my feelings, was totally dispassionate assertion. if you think that all else being equal, Mormonism is an overall plus for his vote tab nationwide, you're dreaming. I don't need to look beyond the microcosm of my Mom's relatively upscale Baptist church to logically assert the opposite. Not to mention the folks right here on TGO who admit they won't vote for a Mormon. But to answer your personal allegation, my opinion of Mormonism is about the same as of mainstream Christianity itself, merely with an additional degree of more modern wackiness tacked on. And I am voting for Mitt, so you should applaud that I've overcome my "religious bigotry". - OS

  6. It's amazing the members on here are actually trying to defend Romney on the 2nd Amendment. Most of us agree Obama needs to go but you guys are actually drinking the Romney cool-aid.

  8. Well, it took 26 days for my permit to arrive but it finally showed up in the mail shortly after lunch today. So, this afternoon, I put on my Shepard IWB holster, loaded up the G26 and headed out the door to run some afternoon errands. My wife and I went shopping at Krogers, took a walk thru Big Lots and finished up the afternoon with dinner at Red Lobster. I only had one brief moment at Red Lobster where I felt I needed to adjust my shirt to be assured things weren't showing. Other than that, it felt just about like any other afternoon out....only with a little better feeling of security.

  12. I only said hello. I guess that I should have said what a rotten day it is because the commie is still hell bent on world domination, but he won't succeed because our best and brightest here on TGO have him figured out. Naw, that don't work for me. You are silly, comical and pathetic spewing that same crap post after post. There is a world of difference between the nonsense that you post compared to the people that have legitimate and logical reasons to dislike Obama. I'm certain that the sun doesn't shine anywhere near you. YOU ARE THE MOST MISERABLE MAN IN THE WORLD!

  18. vontar, you will not find anything showing Mittens supporting the 2nd because he has never supported the 2nd. It would be easier to find a sex tape of the Pope... Yeah, well.... who actually signed legislation concerning such, though? Mittens can say whatever he wants. I'm concerned with what he has actually done. Can't fool me.

  20. Apples, Oranges an Applications. 1911’s don’t have competition except from other 1911’s. Don’t buy one without shooting one and spending some time handling it to see if that’s what you want. Why would you want something with “Loose†tolerances or fit? That equates to inaccuracies in any semi-auto handgun. 1911’s can’t be thrown down in the mud or frozen in a bucket of water and still function properly. If you drag your gun around on a rope or store it in a bucket of water or sand; buy a Tupperware gun. As all of us have found it’s not a choice between 1911’s and Tupperware guns; you have to have both. If your budget right now will only allow for one and you need a carry gun; go with the Tupperware. For Tupperware check out the Smith & Wesson M&P line. They have any size and caliber you want.

  22. What makes Obama deceptive by nature? Are you his counselor? If so, you will come in handy around here. Otherwise, you are just attempting to use your opinion as another scare tactic. If you read any of the political threads you will find that the fear mongering market is already fully saturated on TGO. Now, if you are saying that Obama has been a bad president with flawed policy I'll agree with you, but please leave the bogeyman stories for the youth among us. Don't fall for the hype. Our choices in 2012 are a sh*t box or a box of sh*t.

  23. And they would refuse and that would probably be the end of it. “The governmentâ€, even if they wanted to, can not plan any kind of “take over†of anything without knowing how many troops they have. If you give an unlawful order and your troops refuse; you are done. The SCOTUS has ruled on gun rights. You have the right to own guns, the state determines when and where you can carry them. Yes, they could outlaw EBR’s, but that is doubtful. As TMF points out, it’s logistically impossible. Of course if you believe Obama is going to invoke Martial Law for no good reason, and those that are task with carrying it out are going to follow his orders; you aren’t going to care about facts.

  26. Life Lessons Learned These Past Few Days... 1. No matter how bad things are at the moment, they could always be worse. Be thankful. If you can't see anything to be thankful for, be thankful for the fact that you haven't been shown how much worse it really could get. 2. Material things are temporary. Don't let them dominate your life. Don't let them dictate how you spend your time by forcing you to work more than you rest, just to keep those material things around. It's not worth it. 3. Families aren't perfect, but they are still family. Don't let arguments go unresolved. Don't let hateful things said go without being retracted. Say you're sorry. Tell them you love them. One day you won't be able to. 4. True friends will make themselves known. If you ever wonder who your friends really are, look around when all hell is breaking loose in your life. If they're still there with you, they're a true friend. If they aren't, they're an acquaintance and shouldn't distract you from finding true friends. When you find one, treat them like family. See above. 5. Live every day like it's your last. One of these days, you'll be right.

  27. I went there for my renewal and the line was out the door; I just mailed it in. You would think they would add another office or expand the one they have. I use to drive by there on my way to work a few years back when they were handing out licenses to illegals and the line would be around the building at 6AM. But curious to find out where you end up going if I ever do need to go.

  28. Most reporting these days are not the days of old, where who, what, where, when & why were the reporting standards with fair and balanced mixed in. These days not even reading between the lines in major media will give you the facts, but only opinions, speculation and the now popular liberal spin. Our news media has been taken over by the Vietnam war protesting, draft card burning, draft dodging, old money, pot smoking but doesn't inhale, socialists for a pacifist society. All major media outlets these days don't differentiate between fact and fiction, just liberal spin to suit their own agendas. Rant / OFF

No DaddyO, no slant FWIW, I pulled it from this horrendous article - http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/man-shot-police-laguardia-airport-article-1.1174664?pgno=1 Those ####ty newspapers are so up in arms and pushing typical garbage, the "oh he was such a good kid, such a hard worker, etc etc etc" story line. Factual reporting is dead in this country. It's all about sensationalist headlines to sell papers/advertising.

  30. I had a Linksys wrt54g and I had useable signal strength that was over 300 feet in every direction. So the routers will reach. It is likely building construction that is going to be the limiting factor. Also, microwaves and cell phone boosters can affect a wireless networks performance. We had one router that would become very limited anytime a microwave was run. Dolomite

  31. When you stop to consider how many friggin inbred, white trash, ghetto scum, non English speaking retards they have to deal with in a days time, you realize you'd probably be an Ahole too. No way I could do that job, I'd kill me three or four before the cops showed up. People are stupid and putting up with it will drive you barking mad. It's not a reason to treat others like crap, but at least consider that before you label someone a jerk. Me, I'm both. I was a jerk before and now that I have to deal with the public, I'm a super jerk.

We wouldn't have half as many problems as a people if men would keep the blood in the north head where it belongs. I can't see this scenario working on me but I can certainly see how it would work quite well on those who are afflicted by the plight of attraction and libido.

  37. Matthew 26 (bunch of verses) ... woman pours expensive perfume onto Jesus, and he defends her waste of money saying you willl always have the poor and that this was a wonderful gesture on her part. You can sell all the churches and tear it all down, take all that money ... and feed the hungry for a few weeks, save a few addicts, but after a time the money will be gone and they go hungry again, it has no lasting effect to throw money at the poor except to run out of money and put everyone in the poorhouse (sounds like a political stance..). Also, apart from a certain ancient and established church, most of the churches I have been in were rather sparse. No stain glass, no display of wealth, and many were just a concrete block building with an alter and pews. Its not a tent, but its not a billion dollar cathedral either. One small church I visited just used a meeting room at a business that was willing to allow them use of the facility.

  38. Well there's a simple solution to the whole thing but it'll set faithful church goers pants on fire when I say it. Stop going. I can feel the presence of the Lord flow strongly, alone out in the woods, maybe out by the lake/river. Anywhere where the filth of man has not saturated everything as far as the eye can see. I know it's a kick in the teeth to the pew warmers but a righteous man can use a stump for an alter and get better results than the vast majority of collective prayers from an establishment built by man. Hate me for saying it, that's okay, but I'm not sorry; It's just the truth.

  39. Raise your weak hand in praise and worship to the God of your understanding; Keep your strong hand tucked close to your hip. No god worth serving passes out freebies to strong capable people. It's my personal belief that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob favors those who ask not for a detailed list of everything they need, but instead ask for the strength, wisdom and ability to do it themselves. I'm lost on the idea of asking God for EVERYTHING. What good is a heaven full of people he has to support? No. Any god worth serving takes pride in a follower who is empowered by the wisdom of the spirit and can take care of simple tasks without getting on his nerves like a spoiled child. Absolutely arm yourselves in your place of worship. There is a time for peace and a time for war. When a person decides to attack you and your loved ons in said place of worship.....it is time for war. The tunnel visioned bible belt Christians are deluded and hung up on passive attitudes. God understands war. God understands the difference in murdering another for personal gain or cold blood and causing a threat to your women and children to rapidly reach room temperature. God is no coward, and he is not weak. Why would you want to be any different? Vengeance is his true, but it's on YOU to stand and deliver when the lives of your loved ones are in peril.

  40. Since many states have laws against having guns in places of worship I would say "yes" they should arm themselves. Generally these mass shootings take place is areas where guns are prohibited or uncommon. I don't think it is a great leap in logic to assume these murders plan their attacks around the probability of a potential victim being armed. But, once again, that is using logic and that has no place in a discussion about firearms.
