If you're that worried you can use the ancient technique of putting your shirt over it. I'm pretty certain that the first person who gets charged under this will be someone that OC's and then attempts to argue the legal validity of the posting with the business owner.2 points

Party Platform statements: Republican Party... "We uphold the right of individuals to keep and bear arms, a right which antedated the Constitution and was solemnly confirmed by the Second Amendment. We acknowledge, support, and defend the law-abiding citizen’s God-given right of self-defense. We call for the protection of such fundamental individual rights recognized in the Supreme Court’s decisions in District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. Chicago affirming that right, and we recognize the individual responsibility to safely use and store firearms. This also includes the right to obtain and store ammunition without registration. We support the fundamental right to self-defense wherever a law-abiding citizen has a legal right to be, and we support federal legislation that would expand the exercise of that right by allowing those with state-issued carry permits to carry firearms in any state that issues such permits to its own residents. Gun ownership is responsible citizenship, enabling Americans to defend their homes and communities. We condemn frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers and oppose federal licensing or registration of law-abiding gun owners. We oppose legislation that is intended to restrict our Second Amendment rights by limiting the capacity of clips or magazines or otherwise restoring the ill-considered Clinton gun ban. We condemn the reckless actions associated with the operation known as “Fast and Furious,†conducted by the Department of Justice, which resulted in the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent and others on both sides of the border. We applaud the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in holding the current Administration’s Attorney General in contempt of Congress for his refusal to cooperate with their investigation into that debacle. We oppose the improper collection of firearms sales information in the four southern border states, which was imposed without congressional authority." Democratic Party... “We recognize that the individual right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans’ Second Amendment right to own and use firearms. We believe that the right to own firearms is subject to reasonable regulation. We understand the terrible consequences of gun violence; it serves as a reminder that life is fragile, and our time here is limited and precious. We believe in an honest, open national conversation about firearms. We can focus on effective enforcement of existing laws, especially strengthening our background check system, and we can work together to enact commonsense improvements – like reinstating the assault weapons ban and closing the gun show loophole – so that guns do not fall into the hands of those irresponsible, law-breaking few.†Just fyi.1 point

You'll regret it and not because it's of inferior quality. It's the 3/4 spindle bore thatll screw you. You won't be able to work on rifle barrels unless they are feather weight contour. You won't be able to turn much without that lousy steady rest. Save your money and buy one a touch bigger. Cry now or cry later.1 point

No, what's absurd is that we can't trust our elected representatives. Maybe I'm part of a dying breed, but I still demand accountability and honesty from mine or I don't vote for them again. You can "settle for" if you want; not me.1 point

This is the point I have been trying to make. During the last campaign much hay was made regarding O's lack of executive experience. Well, Mitt possesses that experience, and yet, a lot of y'all are willing to ignore what he actually did while in office because he has the right letter next to his name. There is no difference between y'all and the Democrats who gloss over O's record during the last 3.5 years regarding his handling of the wars, his failure to close Guantanamo, or the fact that he has claimed the ability to execute or assassinate US citizens without due process. Even GWB didn't go that far. For a supposed "Constitutional Lawyer" Obama sure doesn't give a damn about what it says. Mitt won't either, none of them ever do. They all just want to expand the power they wield.1 point

THis reminds me of something fun I do. I make my own lube, and sometimes I will add a vial of scented oil to it before I set it aside to harden. Peppermint oil, potpourri ect. YOu wanna see some weird looks on people's faces? Get a nice bouquet fragrance drifting around the range. Peppermint oil and Unique is a VERY nice combo! :rofl:1 point

Well, Mitt was campaigning as early as 2008, which is when he said this: "I also, like the president, would have signed the assault weapon ban that came to his desk." Also his web site currently: "As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt was proud to support legislation that expanded the rights of gun owners. He worked hard to advance the ability of law-abiding citizens to purchase and own firearms, while opposing liberal desires to create bureaucracy intended to burden gun owners and sportsmen." which is just an outright lie: the stuff he supported as governer did no such thing. Mostly, he has dodged the issue in the current campaign, because it points out his opportunistic flip flopping (also seen in his abortion stance). He has pretty much mouthed the "correct" words since 2009 or so. In my book, though, his performance as gov means a heck of a lot more than his words on the campaign trail. And the lie on his website is downright frightening.1 point

I picked this up at the gun show in Lebanon over the weekend. Sorry 'bout the links, couldn't figure out how to embed the pics. http://imageshack.us.../dsc0471mm.jpg/ http://imageshack.us.../dsc0466qq.jpg/ http://imageshack.us.../dsc0473dk.jpg/ http://imageshack.us...9/dsc0474o.jpg/ Other than the Mission First Tactical 4-rail handguards, I've got a BSA red dot sight, the red dot actually came with the rifle, and MagPul front and rear back-up sights. Besides the quality, what I really like about this rifle is that it's made in Midway, Tennessee.1 point

Point is only that romney does not follow the listed platform at all when it comes to guns. Odds of something happening, tiny to none. Odds of him riding along with anything that does happen? Pretty good. I do not trust him on this issue, and its going to take all 8 years to convince me otherwise.1 point

I carry a Glock 19 too, but the grip has never felt good to me. I would like to see what you did. I don't carry it because I like the grip or for a light clean trigger pull. I carry it because it will put rapid accurate fire on target, every time.1 point

No. Leave it the way it is now. Just as there is a grey area for the poster there is also a grey area for us. Like said before, if its not seen then it doesn't exist. If it's changed and everyone must post a sign that is 12" x 12" in x color at x spot, then the grey area is gone. Conceal and it will never be an issue.1 point

IMO, on signs, if'n I don't see it, it never happened. (and more than likely, they will never see my weapon anyway) not loosing sleep over the efficiency or efficacy of their placement.1 point
