  1. You guys know the difference between people with tattoos and people without them? People with tats don't care that you don't have them. Any time I hear people refer to how mean, rough, gangster, etc someone looks because of tats it brings this picture to mind. Not to mention the number of people in the military with tats, even though we aren't allowed to have anything above neck line.

  2. This is for Paul supporters or folks upset with the choices laid forth between Obama and Romney Remember there is a Third Option. Only a handful of states count write-in votes unless the candidate themselves submit paperwork to be a write-in candidate. 8 States do not allow write-in votes at all. Ron Paul has said that he is retiring if he does not get the GOP nomination. Writing his name on a ballot has very little chance of being counted and even less of a chance of being reported. Only a few states will count them and in some of the few that do they are reported as "Write-In" votes and the total is not broken down by which name(s) were written in. How many votes were for Ron Paul and how many were for Mickey Mouse? You would also be voting for someone who isn't running. You may make yourself feel better by voting for Ron Paul but the message you are trying to send may not be the one that will be received even if the people you were trying to send a message to actually were to get an accurate report of how many votes there are for Ron Paul. They do not think like you think. They are most likely going to think of people that are voting for a candidate who is not running as "Them Crazy Ron Paul people with their cult of personality." If Ron Paul does not get the nomination then I hope that we can all show a unified voice for liberty that will be counted and reported. The best alternative is Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson. Gary will be on the ballot in all 50 states and his votes will be counted and reported: http://www.lp.org/2012-ballot-access Gary Johnson's policies are almost identical to Ron Paul's and in some cases where there are small differences you may actually prefer Gary's Policies to Ron's: http://GaryJohnson2012.com/ Gary Johnson is a two term Governor with a record for liberty. His 8 years as Governor give him more time in government as an executive than either Obama or Romney. Writing in Ron Paul's name may make you feel good about yourself but I feel best when my vote at least sends a message that will be heard and is clearly understood. If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, let's stay unified and vote for Gary Johnson in November. A vote for Gary Johnson will send a clear message that will be understood: "We Want Liberty!" Info on state by state laws concerning write-in campaigns: http://www.dailypaul.com/242672/considerations-on-a-ron-paul-3rd-party-or-write-in-campaign-and-the-future-of-the-liberty-movement http://writein2008.blogspot.com/search/label/Illinois http://mfoster.com/misc/write-in_rules_2008.php This isn't a stab or Jab at Romney supporters just something i noticed on a different site which I decided to share here for the Paul supporters that plan or writing him in if he doesn't get the nomination

  3. Yea...me too. I've been paying property taxes to help fund education for over 25 years and haven't used a dime of it for my family. Sure makes me feel good inside.

  4. Depends on what's important to you. Accuracy: On paper the AR is more accurate than the Mini. Your mileage may vary, however. With iron sights I'm a better shot with my Mini than with my AR. Advantage: theoretically AR, but YMMV. After market accessories: There are quite a few accessories for the Mini - stocks, rails, rings, etc.., but nothing like the AR. The AR is the lego of the firearms world. Advantage: AR. Aesthetics: No contest. The Mini-14 can be dressed up to look like a tacticool black rifle just like the AR, but there's no way to make an AR look like a classic wood & steel rifle (the oddball wood furniture you can get for the AR hardly counts). Advantage: Mini-14. Magazines: There are huge numbers of inexpensive, reliable AR mags out there. Mags for the Mini-14 are significantly more expensive and anything other than factory Ruger mags are of questionable reliability. Advantage: AR. Reliability: Mini-14's are ridiculously reliable and will eat pretty much any ammo vaguely shaped like a .223 cartridge. AR's can be reliable, but can be much more picky about ammo. Advantage: Mini-14. Parts availability: You can order every single part that makes up an AR from many, many web sites. Ruger is one of those annoying companies that refuses to sell a lot of their parts to anyone. Need the part replaced? Ship your gun to them. Advantage: AR. It used to be that AR's were significantly more expensive, but that's no longer true. Advantage: Neither.

  5. Heck, man, GJ had the guts to go on Red Eye w/ Gutfeld. I'd vote for him on that basis alone! I'll say this about 3rd Party viability though .. if this campaign cycle were to last another year, instead of just until November, I think GJ would have a good chance. This Super PAC thing is just out of control, 90% negative on each side, I'm sick of it, I think most Americans are sick of it. SCOTUS really blew it on this one, seems to me. Have you seen the latest, where Mitt is accused of killing the guys wife (cancer, lost insurance as one of the companies that went bankrupt after Bain acquired it)? It's really a total new low, not factual of course, but wow. http://www.nydailyne...ticle-1.1130631 http://hotair.com/gr...ma-renounce-it/ PAC is run by Bill Burton, who is a fer C'sake former spokesperson for BHO. But of course, there's no communication between him and the admin as required by law. Right. - OS

  6. It's not a big deal here. I thought we were just having a discussion. If you wind up having too shoot all that ammo thru a single shot rifle, it won't be decided in Tennessee. Romney has it locked. There may be other elections that matter. This one, we're just doing what we do... flogging the dead horse out of boredom

  10. A true conservative wouldn't vote for Romney. This " a vote for anybody but my guy is a vote for evil satan" is truly getting old. You could also say that anyone who doesn't vote for Obama is a vote for Romney. Does that make you feel better?

  11. Yes I would vote for Mickey Mouse over Obama or Romney because I dont want either. The GOP chose Romney so The GOP lost me period. but luckily I can Vote for Gary Johnson and If that is a Vote for Obama then the way I see it is Obama won because to many people voted for Romney eitherway they are voting for More of the same.

  12. Well, as you'll learn HCPers are a small sampling of the population here. An even smaller sample go so far to complain about it on the internet. A seemingly non-existent minority from that number will actually work to have things change, but will not succeed due to lack of motivation to follow through with the simplest of tasks involving an email to their elected representative. HCP holders deserve the stupid rules they have.

  13. The treaty is not dead. It is just being delayed until after the U.S. Presidential Election in November. Hillary and Obama said that they are still wanting to reopen negotiations after the election. The leaders of other countries, including Mexico, Russia, China, and Britain are all extremely determined to get this thing passed. Obama thinks that he can claim that he is no threat to gun rights, get re-elected, and then get this treaty rolling again once he is in his last term. This is not over folks. Not by a long shot. There is also something else that I find disturbing about all this. I read about it earlier today. There’s a thing called the Vienna Convention (the Law of Treaties) which the U.S. signed and the Senate ratified. It provides that when we sign a Treaty - until REJECTED by the Senate or renounced by a President – it remains in force, binding us based on the President’s and Secretary of State’s signature. So, if Obama is re-elected, Hillary will sign the Treaty, and they will never bring the Treaty up for ratification and Obama will not renounce the Treaty - leaving the U.S. bound by it. And, it WILL BE ENFORCED by the U.S. Courts. Has anyone else read about this? I am curious if this is something that the Obama Administration can do if they sign the treaty (if Obama is re-elected).
