I have contacted the local EPA when I had issues with someone. I will say that the EPA will check their body cavities looking for polluting substances. I would immediately take that tape to the local EPA and demand the neighbors pay for the removal of the contaminated soil. That will bankrupt them just in labor costs not to mention the fines. I would do it now before the neighbors contact the EPA and say your father was the one dumpoing oil on HIS property. Once the EPA has it in their minds that your father is the bad guy they will not look at any tapes or evidence to the contrary. Sounds like this might be another tactic of the bad guys. The EPA is one organization I would never want on my bad side. They can make life miserable for years. Dolomite6 points

Everyone I have ever let shoot with my suppressor has preferred to shoot with it than without it, ESPECIALLY beginners. Assuming you index them, most shooters shoot better with the can...less noise and less recoil = less flinch. Though they they are primarily designed to reduce noise, they reduce recoil much better than any muzzle brake I have ever used. I am thrilled I have one. I have 2 more on the way! The absolute best benefit though is the smile on the face of the shooter when they hear how loud the metal target rings when they shoot with the can.2 points

I wish I could be objective. I was in Beirut when they blew up Marines I had just brought there. Islam is not a religion of peace. I don't hate every muslim I just don't trust a one. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 22 points

If Fox had done this with the Obama bus just think at how that would go over. The left would be calling it a hate crime. Funny how they have no problem with hypocrisy on their side.2 points

I am planning my next toy. With the help of a good friend i am planning on building a 1911. This is something i have been wanting to do for a long time. I use to own a Colt series 70 38 super with a 5" slide and I loved that gun but it disappeared during my divorce. So tell me your thoughts, i am hoping to use it for IDPA type shooting.1 point

Dave, I took an oath to uphold the constitution and wore a uniform for this country... I'm educated well enough to know that blind alligence to a government is not being a true patriot. Our founding fathers were well educated men, most of which had either first hand experience with Islam, or were well informed of the religion. They knew all of the same things we know about Islam today, the only change being humans have discovered high power explosives. Are there things we should be doing to stop groups who want to subvert our God given rights to worship as we see fit (within the boundaries of not harming others)... Yes but Islam is a much smaller threat to me than progressives and neocons are... Let's focus on restoring our God given rights and getting rid of our Unconstitutional laws... Then in 4 or 5 generations if people are still pushing Shari law... We can fight that battle then... When it poses a real threat to our freedoms... The fact is if we allow the government power to regulate religions to fight off a largely fake threat to our freedoms... The government will start abusing that unconstitutional authority long before Islam could possible pose a serious threat to our way of life. And learn a little more history before you start calling people unamerican... I'm 100% American.... My values are much more in line with our founding fathers than somebody who would ban a religion for something that might be a serious problem 80 to 100 years from now.1 point

I don't know why such a move would surprise anyone. This is a man who by words and by actions has shown that he hates the United States and most especially the U.S. Constitution...almost everything about the man indicates that he is a socialist and, not surprisingly, hates everything about capitalism (well, everything except the money his friends can donate to him by virtue of their capitalistic efforts). Given the above, of course he is going to bypass Congress, bully the Supreme Court and completely ignore the Constitution. My worst fear is that this man and his wife (who also hats the Constitution) is allowed a second term...if that happens, we are done as we won't even be a pale imitation of a democratic republic based on liberty, freedom and personal responsibility.1 point

Ask the 16 Muslim women and children that were murdered in their homes by an American Soldier what they think about tolerance. The actions of a few don't speak for the other billion. If that is logical then it is also logical to take away your permit to carry when a HCP holder goes on a shooting spree.1 point

Neither do I. I've spent nearly 4 years of my life living in Muslim countries so I've seen my share of things associated with the religion that I don't want to see here. I've also have had the opportunity to meet, interact and live with more Muslims than 99% of folks here will ever meet in their life. My take, there are good and bad people in all cultures. What we want out of life and our priorities are pretty much the same: family, God, freedom, and a place to enjoy all those things. I'm not gonna stand up and sing kumbaya or anything; I have nothing against anyone that agrees/disagrees with Islam or do I care about Muslim rights outside of our borders. I just am offering insight into my experience with Muslims which is more than any of he folks here that denounce it as a religion that REQUIRES anti-American sentiment. I can tell you that the Quran and the hadiths don't reject American ideals anymore than the Old Testament, and most Muslims that weren't enemy either embrace or would love to embrace the freedoms we enjoy. With that said, anyone who is an American citizen is a fellow American to me no matter their religion or political beliefs. To see a fellow American have their rights called into question because of their beliefs makes me very concerned for our country. Just as concerned as a bedwetter wanting to have the law take my guns away.1 point

The problem in this discussion is folks confusing the VEry American concept of assimilation, freedom of religion for all and the notion that religion can come in a variety of flavors (think of all the different Christian sects that are out there) There is only one Islam. there are Sunnis and Shias and a few other variants, but there is ultimately only one Islam. Only in American can one even think about being "partly" Islamic. This progressive idea is alien to the rest of the world and represents the true clash of modernity and Islam -a battle we'll be seeing waged for years to come unfortunately. So when an imam is trained at Al Azhsr , this is like the Harvard of Islamic schools. You cant pretend he must be a moderate. The concept of radical islam being the oddball belief is completely an American concept. It's a false idea. Do your research and don't take your values and assume others share them. I say all this while ALSO firmly believing that the building permits must be handled in a fair fashion. We can't abandon our principles. At the same time, we can't be blind to real danger.1 point

Again, this is your opinion only. While it would seem logical to assume so, it is untested territory, and there's no guarantee that you will not be convicted even if it's not conforming. See AG opinion about parks above. If charged it's going to cost you a lawyer. And the scores can really change if you have to appeal to get the "justice" you seem to take for granted. C'mon Ken, be accurate. A gun buster is one of the two types of conforming signs. And there is not a "proper" gunbuster. It is defined only as: "the international circle and slash symbolizing the prohibition of the item within the circle". Can be any size, any general design, any color, etc. Can also be words only. The language does NOT have to be specific, is still "substantially similar" to: "AS AUTHORIZED BY T.C.A. § 39-17-1359, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON ON POSTED PROPERTY OR IN A POSTED BUILDING IS PROHIBITED AND IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE." "Substantially similar" is defined now, as containing language to denote that: "1. The property is posted under authority of Tennessee law; 2. Weapons or firearms are prohibited on the property, in the building, or on the portion of the property or building that is posted; and 3. Possessing a weapon in an area that has been posted is a criminal offense." edit: Guess I should have just pasted the whole statute in retrospect: ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- 39-17-1359. Prohibition at certain meetings -- Posting notice. (a) (1) An individual, corporation, business entity or local, state or federal government entity or agent thereof is authorized to prohibit the possession of weapons by any person who is at a meeting conducted by, or on property owned, operated, or managed or under the control of the individual, corporation, business entity or government entity. (2) The prohibition in subdivision (a)(1) shall apply to any person who is authorized to carry a firearm by authority of § 39-17-1351. ( (1) Notice of the prohibition permitted by subsection (a) shall be accomplished by displaying one (1) or both of the notices described in subdivision ( (3) in prominent locations, including all entrances primarily used by persons entering the property, building, or portion of the property or building where weapon possession is prohibited. Either form of notice used shall be of a size that is plainly visible to the average person entering the building, property, or portion of the building or property, posted. (2) The notice required by this section shall be in English, but a duplicate notice may also be posted in any language used by patrons, customers or persons who frequent the place where weapon possession is prohibited. (3) (A) If a sign is used as the method of posting, it shall contain language substantially similar to the following: AS AUTHORIZED BY T.C.A. § 39-17-1359, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON ON POSTED PROPERTY OR IN A POSTED BUILDING IS PROHIBITED AND IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE. (2) Possession of a weapon on posted property in violation of this section is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by fine only of five hundred dollars ($500). (d) Nothing in this section shall be construed to alter, reduce or eliminate any civil or criminal liability that a property owner or manager may have for injuries arising on their property. (e) The provisions of this section shall not apply to title 70 regarding wildlife laws, rules and regulations. (f) This section shall not apply to the grounds of any public park, natural area, historic park, nature trail, campground, forest, greenway, waterway or other similar public place that is owned or operated by the state, a county, a municipality or instrumentality thereof. The carrying of firearms in those areas shall be governed by § 39-17-1311. I was trying to figure that out too. The only thing I could figure is that it was a racially motivated comment suggesting that the towns he was visiting were mostly white. It would be the same as pointing out any time Barack Obama goes to a mostly black community as something sinister. Neither is appropriate, especially for a "journalist". Once again, if this was reversed there would be national outrage and the Secret Service would be soliciting the hookers in Bill O'Reilly's home town.1 point

And considering how old you are your parents are in the category that it takes a special POS to grief them. I would call LE and have them document it. Maybe the same officer that responded before, and had the neighbor remove the fence, will show up again. And hopefully the officer will have a discussion with them to explain the law regarding harassment. Document every interaction with them, even interactions in which you can't prove it was them. And if they make ANY threats go take all your evidence and get an order of protection. And most importantly do not threaten them with court action or anything else. But most importantly do not let them know that you are documenting their actions. People like this rarely play well with LE either. They will generally argue laws with LE and we all know how that generally turns out. The neighbors will eventually get caught up in their own web because it is obvious they have no self control or morals. Dolomite1 point
