  1. Did you also notice they misspelled his name? It's really BS. With that said, I don't care how he goes away, as long as he does. If folks believe it and vote against him, I can live with it.

  4. I don't get it. You're acting like all the roads and subways in NYC were shut down. If you actually read the article, you will see that only the PATH service to the WTC was to be shut down during his visit. People just took the subway to another PATH station, where the trains were rerouted. Roads along the motorcade route were closed, but that is no different from any other presidential visit to anywhere. Sure, many people were inconvenienced by this, but "millions" inconvenienced? Hardly. This is all normal stuff for a presidential visit. You are probably the only person outside of the NYC area that is upset over this.

  5. The time I have a knife seems to be inversely proportional to what I pay for it. That being said, my edc for the past few years has been a Kersaw Leek that someone gave to me used. It has been a great one, and I have already decided that when I loose it, I will probably buy another. That is, of course, unless I can find someone to give me another one. I also like the Chive; especially while wearing scrubs. As ya'll probably know, it is the same design, just a little lighter. I had one that I bought, but naturally, I lost that one. So now, it is back to the leek even with the scrubs. For my budget and propensity to loose knives, I think the two aforementioned knives would be my best edc. I like the operation, the size, the price, and materials quality better than any of the other knives I have lost.

  6. You've got a treasure in that M-94 Winchester of your's, as for it's provinence I'd try contacting a collector's association. Now the how and reason it stopped working could be a lot of thing's from being gummed up to weak spring's. Since you've got it apart go ahead and replace all of the spring's and keeep the old one's as spare's. Take a close look at your firing pin and make sure it's not seriously worn or broken. Lube it up and put it back together and treat it with the respect it's earned.

  7. My EDC knife for the last 15 years or so was a Buck Odyssey, which IMHO is an absolutely fantastic knife, as a matter of fact it is probably one of my all-time favorite pocket knives, however the last few months I've been carrying a Leatherman FreeStyle, which while not quite as comfortable in my hand as my Odyssey, it is more comfortable than any of my other multi-tools (which of course have knife blades on them but they were cumbersome to open/close & uncomfortable to use for anything except for light cutting tasks &/or for short periods of time). See'ing as I had always carried a multi-tool in addition to the Odyssey, (mostly for the pliers which I tend to use quite a bit) essentially the FreeStyle makes a pretty decent compromise between the knife & multi-tool platforms, so now I am able to carry just the FreeStyle and am able to leave my other pocket knives & multi-tools at home or in high need areas such as in tackle/tool/glove/etc boxes.

  8. The difference is we used to have a handle on it to the point that we were able to serve our interests. I don't see it being that way anymore. That wouldn't be such an awful thing if it weren't for the radicalization that is occurring as the fundamentalists are taking advantage of the upheaval in the region. Kinda like how things went/are going in Pakistan. Real bad stuff so close to Israel and the up and coming terrorist organizations in East Africa. Point is we have more to lose here than a "sorta" ally in the region. What is happening now is setting the stage for a situation that we won't be able to stay out of, and I would really like to stay out of it. Diplomacy and cash is how we shape the environment to prevent these impossible situations, but we can apply neither with a radical government.

  11. No thanks, thought a lot about it over the years, don't want to be a Libertarian. From what I see, the end game of the Libertarian Party is anarchy. I prefer to live in a society, however imperfect.

  14. I'm with OhShoot on this one. I've gone through quite a few over the last few years. These are the ones I don't plan on getting rid of: ZT350, Tenacious, Mini Cyclone, Gerber Evo, Skyline, Delica, Leek, G10 Hawk What are you getting at TDR? As far as size goes, the ZT350 feels great in hand, but is considerably heaver than the rest of these. Added to the 50lbs of other crap I carry with me at all times, I'm gonna have to start wearing suspenders. :-) The Tenacious is roughly the same size, but noticeably lighter.

  15. The best for me has been the Cold Steel Recon 1. It's probably a little big for those with tiny girly hands, but it fits me perfectly. The shape and texture of the handle are great, and the overall quality for an EDC that doesn't cost an arm and a leg is hard to beat. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2

  16. I watched part of Prez. Candyass giving his speech today, and I saw how he got upset with the reporter asking him questions. Just remember, you can expect much worse if Candyass gets in another four years. "We can't wait for Congress to do its job, so where they won't act, I will."

  20. Might work for you. I have a 23, and a 27 with a 9mm barrel as well. I can't carry the 23 comfortably (23 and 19 are same frame.) I can carry the 27 all day long. I carry a back up mag if I think it's necessary. I also have problems concealing the 23, but I'm a skinny guy.

  21. Because after I looked at all available options for what I was needing, I choose the 26 for size and reliability. With the extension, the height is still less than the 19 by 1/2" and 3/4" in barrel length at a confrontation isn't going to make any difference, training does. I could have gone with another manufacture for $200-$300 less and gotten a gut gun but I don't invest in guns that will go into the trash after 200 rounds. I made a great choice on my firearm as well as anyone else that buy's what they feel fits them.
