  1. I don't see them bringing it in this neck of the woods. They'll keep finding defenseless folks. I HAVE upped my projectile weight to 230 grains. I'm swearing off bunny farts until things settle down a little.

  2. The main thing we should take away from this... the media can't be trusted to deliver unbiased news. I had a personal interest in watching this case and digging for facts, because it could effect gun laws. You're average Joe just swallowed the media's crap.

  3. Martin was a punk. I didn't arrive at it in a rush. It took awhile for THAT to sneak past the filters too.

  4. Most of us believe that the jury is still out. We also believe that the media intentionally distorted the whole thing, and the race baiters piled on. The anti's believe Zimmerman is guilty, because NOBODY should be allowed to carry a gun. The polls speak for themselves, after a lot of the evidence has managed to sneak past the media filters. That's the way I see it. And By the Way... Martin didn't just have the hoodie. He had the grill, the middle fingers on Facebook, the burglary tools, the minor drug issues, etc. He was a thug in training, that was allowed to graduate early. I'm not sure of Zimmerman's guilt, but I AM sure of that.

  5. Just so I understand, its okay to rush to judgement that Martin was a punk kid that had it coming but it's not okay to rush to judgement that Zimmerman was an overzealous wanna-be? "Most" folks on this thread believe that Zimmerman is innocent of criminal wrongdoing. There are only a few of us that don't think he is. Believe what you want but it goes both ways.

  6. I like that. If some random person asks me about the bulge under my shirt, I tell them it is a colostomy bag. That pretty much ends the conversation right there.

  7. I agree, HCP holders shouldn't carry past a properly posted sign so long as the law says they should not. However, anyone who has not lost his/her constitutional rights through proper adjudication should be able to carry their weapon on their person anywhere they are legally allowed to be...their car, their home, their place or employment, a school...ANYWHERE. If I knew ahead of time where I might actually need a firearm to defend myself I'd be happy to only carry it then. If I had 24/7 armed security to protect me, like many of those who advocate a complete ban on firearms, I'd probably not carry. If I had a cop within earshot of me 24/7; same thing as above. If 99.9% of all dangerous criminals stayed locked up until they were too old/infirm to be a danger to society I might feel better about not being armed. However... I don't have a crystal ball that works. I can't afford 24/7 armed security. Cops take 5-10 minutes on average (if I'm lucky) to respond to a 911 call, and Most criminals, if they are caught at all, spend less time locked up than I've spent earning my next Master's degree. That's why I carry - that's why I NEED to carry - that's why I should be allowed to carry anywhere I am required to or allowed or invited to be without my God given right to own and carry arms infringed by worthless politicians, fear mongers and brain-dead bureaucrats and liberals. In fact, using the phrase "allowed to carry" is one that should never need to be spoken as it's repugnant to the meaning of the Second Amendment.

  13. Might be wrong but i believe you would not be charged for carrying while imbibing as long as your self defense shooting was otherwise legal

  16. Same here. Back on topic, my country has been stolen in stealthily subtle increments over time. This election is perhaps it's last long shot gasp, maybe either way it goes -- but it's pretty damn certain where the BHO option leads. - OS

  19. Yup! Exactly. We were united on 9/12/2001. Started coming apart a little bit by the media hammering GWB non-stop for 8 years. Really exploded after 1/20/2009. Can anyone tell us who the great divider is? In all of history? Think back to Sunday school. Satan. His job is to divide and cause strife. Obama is doing a very good job of helping him out. Obama promised to be a post racial President, but he has been the most racial president. He is intent on dividing us by Black vs White, Men vs Women, Christian vs Non Christian, Gay vs Straight... and ALL of the others, just like Greg said.

  20. I've participated in this thread all I'm going to. If the property is posted, we SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE ASKED TO LEAVE, as we should have NEVER WENT IN TO BEGIN WITH...THAT IS MY POINT!!! Make the penalty harsh, and we WILL NEVER have to be asked to leave.....PERIOD! Dave

  21. Folks, we can argue this until we're blue in the face. Us gun owners are crying "My 2A Rights are being violated", while the porperty owners are crying "My 1A Rights are being violated. If the sign says "No Weapons", stay out....if No Sign...carry until you're giddy! I love my HCP privilages, but I would truly like to see the law makers make "carrying past a sign" similiar to a DUI. Fine, jail and suspension of the HCP. That's the only way some of us will start being responsible for our actions as "Law Bidding Citizens". Dave Sayre (931)802-2138

  23. Ha, thanks guys. I get -1 all the time but that one seemed a little odd.... lacking I sense of humor. I feel as if I should earn someone's disapproval, not get it for free! I usually do the same thing (zero it out) on the political thread. Someone goes through there every so often and -1 every post in favor of or against a political point of view. Seems like that is inappropriate in a discussion about differing viewpoints.

  24. Not automatically. Even as a white person there are ways to prevent you from being a racist. First and foremost you must have a Obama/Biden 2008 sticker prominently displayed on your car. Next you must start any conversation with a minority with the fact you voted for Obama and and the second sentence must always be that is was Bush's fault. And finally you must "occupy" something other that the welfare office. I think if you do these things you might be able to prevent yourself from becoming a racist but more importanantly being labeled as one. Dolomite

  31. A one-year warranty definity is not fun, but that's at the manufacturers' discrection. However, the more I read on this thread, the more I question the On Target operation and handling of the situation. Doesn't leave me really wanting to go there.

  33. They said it’s a year warranty from the original purchase of the product. What does that tell you? My WAG is that they don’t want to come right out and say what happened and are willing to lose a customer instead of a vendor.

  36. This is why the sign posting law is unconstitutional... because the state only has the power to restrict carry "with a view to prevent crime" How does a business being able to post prevent crime? It doesn't, does it? What our constitution does (is only supposed to allow) is the state to restrict really who can carry (criminals), not really where. Allowing businesses to post a sign that is an automatic punishment is unconstitutional (at least in regards to arms.) A business can post any other sign (no shirt, no shoes, etc) and just because you walk past that sign doesn't mean you are automatically breaking the law. Only until you refuse to leave, if they ask, are you breaking the law. So yes, they should be allowed to post, but legally, according to our constitution, any no guns sign should have no more power legally, than any other "no whatever" sign. You understand that most states are like this and because there no legal footholds for a no guns sign, there aren't many posted (look at GA.) BTW, when you actually apply what the constitution says, you realize that school carry ban is unconstitutional, so is the local parks ban, etc. Seems like the only places that crime could be prevented would be carrying inside a jail, and maybe a courtroom.
