  1. How to turn a Glock into an M&P (without losing the ugly)

  2. I have a pantry full of assault cookware. I better be careful, otherwise the BATFEFP ( Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Explosives and Frying Pans) will be kicking down my door.

  4. A few weeks ago I removed my jacket before going into Kroger, which left the Glock on my belt visible. (I typically conceal, but I've done this before on occasion, and no one has said anything or even noticed as far as I could tell.) While shopping, I saw my next-door-neighbor (of 12 years) a few times, but she didn't seem to see me, so I didn't say anything to her. Out in the parking lot, I heard my name called from a few cars away - it was her, and she said that she didn't want to say anything inside the store because I was wearing "THAT!", as she pointed to my gun. She wouldn't say why it bothered her, but during the conversation she did tell me that she would have her husband come speak with me about guns, since they've been burgled a couple of times, and he's been talking to her about buyng a weapon.

  5. I know this is a bit off topic from what you were looking for but it conjured up memories from my youth. When I was a kid, I remember my dad taking me to the dump fairly often. To dump trash? Nope. Target practice with his .22. The targets? Rats, and plenty of them. Apparently this was not only acceptable behavior but was considered a service to the community. I wonder where this would get you today?

  6. I got it for $301.25. Total price was $421.00 for everything in the picture. I am very confident it's going to be dependable. I am taking it on a backpacking trip in the Smokies in a week or so and I will give everyone an update on how well it works in the field once I get back.

  10. every one I own I shoot I will not buy one if I cannot fire it. Yup some think I am crazy and these guns should not be fired due to the collectable reasons, but ehh thats what they were made for.

  11. That straight pull Steyr is a jaw breaker. Only cartridge I ever seen that kicks so hard, to be no bigger than it is. It's a ball to shoot!!

  12. "How Many Magazines?" Well, would you rather open a drawer one day and say 'Man! What am I gonna do with all these stupid magazines?' OR, would you rather be thinking 'MAN!, If I only had one more!'

  14. Until criminals start doing AARs we'll never know how many are actually deterred by OC. "The armed robber (who has his gun concealed) will just shoot you in the back of the head before moving on to take the cash. Or he might do worse…what if he takes your child hostage and orders you to give up your gun? Most people don’t think about that possibility." Is there any proof of either of theses two scenarios ever happening to an OCer?

  18. Read the quotes at the bottom... The guy makes 90% of his living from corporate welfare mandated by the state.... IE he is a handgun permit instructor... He has a vested interest in people using his service to get a carry permit, and not using open carry which requires no permit in his state. Simple rule - follow the money. Get rid of the corporate welfare... no more mandated useless courses required by the state to carry a firearm... less than 1% of people fail the current course, it is completely useless as a method to bad behavior with firearms.

  19. Go to Montgomery County Shooting Complex in Clarksville,if you do infact want longer ranges. They have your typical 25-100 yard targets at one station, and 200,300,400 yard targets at the next station beside it. They have handgun and shotgun stations as well but never shot on them. Bring your own paper targets,or you will need to buy some in the shop there.

  21. Not as clumsy or random as a Glock, an elegant weapon from a more civilized age? The story of "is that a real gun!" reminded me of a friend knocking on my door a few weekends ago while I was vacuuming. He sees my gun on my belt and goes "Do you always clean with a sidearm?" My answer of "No, sometimes I use the shotgun for the really tough dust bunnies. " made Dr. Pepper shoot out my wife's nose behind me.
