  2. Sounds like your measure is missing a charge. It happens. I'm not sure how or why. I don't believe you could get a squib in any pistol with a charge of bullseye, even if it was a short charge as little 2.5-3.0g it would have plenty of pressure to get out of the barrel. UNLESS you have some weak faulty primers. You're getting a no charge or have some bad primers. The fact that it happens in a glock is pure coincidence. Flame on you progressive lovers, but THIS is the main reason there will never be one on my bench. I may be slower, but I visually see EVERY powder charge before seating.

  3. I think it has more finish look. You can see the first couple lines of the last post under the thread title, as well as the name and avatar of that poster. It gives you a 'participated' tab that shows all threads you have posted in, with most recent updates at the top(I know mobile version is similar, but tapatalk is better) I can upload pictures from my phone straight to thread without hosting on a web first. I used it for a while and I don't like to change

  4. I think Heaven, too, is subjective to most of us. In the slightly abstract, one man's Heaven may be another man's hell and vice versa. I remember going on a date, years ago, with a young lady who presented herself as a conservationist and naturalist. With that in mind, I planned a lovely picnic far out in the country and completely surrounded by nature. She was, to say the least, absolutely disgusted. When I apologized and explained that, given her apparent passion for nature, I thought she'd enjoy a meal created from natural products in a natural setting, she exclaimed, "This isn't NATURE! This is the freaking WILDERNESS!!!" As for me, I'm not sure where Heaven is or whether I'll ever get there. But as long as I continue to live my life honestly and in the way that feels most right to me, personally, I'm not terribly worried about it. Nor do I think I need be. A friend of mine once said, "Religion is when you believe in hell. Spirituality is when you've been there." I still don't know if I completely agree with that statement, but I've noticed that, while I'm not at all what most would consider religious, there are times when I am indeed a very spiritual s.o.b.

  5. I know I'm jumping in on this a bit late, so I'm just going to add one long rant and leave it at that. Because I think we all can agree nothing any of us say on this forum is going to cause the other to change their mind. It sounds basically like what is called Pascal's Wager or Pascal's Gambit. In philosophy class at Pellissippi we started off proving that the desert god exists. The desert god being a non-specific all knowing, all loving, all powerful god. The religious were all happy with the proving points, the non-religious sat there and listened then argued respectfully. When we got to the disproving of an illogical desert god, the religious about shat themselves. While some presented pretty valid arguments, most were "Because that's not what the bible said!" And got all huffy and puffy. , but I think this is the blind belief bkelm18 was talking about. The complete belief in a book that has been written, copied, translated, and then canonized all by a man just seems silly to me. If you want to believe in religion, great. But don't use your beliefs to persecute the beliefs of others and then go crying to mommy when someone stands up for what they believe. As far as the original post, I don’t think morals have fallen as far as you think. There have always been a percentage people who act “immorally†and now thanks to are growing population, media, and internet we are able to hear about these people more easily. But morality a subjective term. Who defines it? Stanford defines morality as: “1) A descriptively to refer to some codes of conduct put forward by a society or, a. some other group, such as a religion, or b. accepted by an individual for her own behavior or 2) Normatively to refer to a code of conduct that, given specified conditions, would be put forward by all rational persons. But what society are we talking about? That is something for someone way smarter than me to ponder on. Clearly this forum has quickly jumped on the Christian Morality train. Religion vs. Evolution aside, our society is clearly evolving, and so are our morals. Going by that "Golden Rule" idea profgunner mentioned way back on post 1, always seems to be a good choice. This guideline of treating others as you want to be treated is not an original biblical idea. The Code of Hammurabi, Taoism, and Egyptians all had a similar idea. It only makes sense that if humanity wants to grow, they will have to come together in some fashion.

  6. Depends wholly upon the evidence presented. My faith, like my life, while very real to me, is (also like my life) constantly changing, adapting and evolving. It is also becoming stronger (which also appears to be yet another tenet of evolution). I'm not the same person I was 20 years ago. Or five years ago. Or even one. But that doesn't make me any less real (at least to myself and those whom I interact with). And the memories I have are still mine and they are still of real events. And while I haven't consciously looked for ways to strengthen my personal faith, it has happened nonetheless and it also is still very real to me. Of course we all know that even reality is subjective. The amusement park ride that one finds fun and exciting may be either terrifying or stultifyingly boring to another. But it is still an amusement park ride. And the very real experience of one rider does not automarically negate the existence of the equally real experiences of others.

  7. I don't find it offensive, and thought this thread in particular has been pretty tame. I was going to say I am comfortable in who and where I am.....but really not so. I struggle daily, My recent failures are monumental, life-changing, and will have life-long repercussions. I cannot judge anyone, for I find myself standing before God every waking moment (and much so in my dreams as well), especially over the last 22 months. I do not know why, but He has responded to me, not with anger, condemnation, persecution, but rather with compassion, mercy, grace, peace, and understanding, hope and restoration. It has forever changed who I am, and how I respond to and regard Him. I am beyond offence in regards to my faith. It is not mine to begin with. I lay it at His feet and cry for mercy.

  8. it is hard to fathom that a god all knowing would damn for eternity millions upon millions of people who were never even exposed to a certain version of what it takes to go to heaven. Aliens visiting earth and causing the miracles of the bible is much more believable. Is god a man or a woman?

  9. Well, chances approach 100% that if ThePunisher had been born a Yemeni, he'd be as stalwart a Muslim as he is now a Christian. That's the thing about religion; only a very slim minority ever deviate from their upbringing into The One True Faith (whichever one that happens to be). - OS

  12. I can promise that I have, in numerous ways. I worked extremely hard to get him elected to the Governors position in the primary in 2010, and as such, am so very disappointed in the tact he is taking now. In personal conversations about this very issue over the course of the last two years, he led me to believe that he was in favor of the Citizen's Right to provide for their own self defense, and that their private vehicle was their Castle just as much as their home, regardless of where it was parked. Now we find that he is distancing himself from the support of the individual, and has decided that money and position mean more than his word.

  13. My retort to Ramsey: With respect, you, (as in the Republican leadership), are over-complicating a simple idea. All you need do is pass a simple law stating that an employer cannot compel an employee into a search of their private vehicle for any reason. If there is probable cause that a crime has been committed then law enforcement officials would be the ones conducting the search; not an employer.

  14. Pretty much it's all about how you, or your lawyer, convey your thought processes, and if a reasonable person would think the same way, For instance, I am 6'4" 295 lbs and look every bit as mean as I did as a Marine: however, time and life experiences have taken their toll on my body giving me several health issues that would prevent me from defending myself as I once would. If someone would just look at me they wouldn't buy a defense argument at face value, but when informed of the several health issues a reasonable person would conclude that it was self defense because I believed that I couldn't defend myself and was in reasonable fear of my life.

  15. I know that Tennessee has a state guard that answers only to the governor, would be encouraging to see other states develop similar programs.

  17. This folks is the most important reason of all to hold your noses and vote for Romney. The 2A will crumble under a 5-4 majority in the other direction.

  19. Romney is simply the white Obama. I'll take him over Obama, but I think we've still got a chance for better choices than him. Come to think of it...if Zimmerman is a white-hispanic, then Obama is a white-black Obama.
