Okay, shame on me, but I don't watch much news anymore [mostly because I just don't care] But I'm just getting wind of most of this. What's the big frickin' deal? Yeah, I'm sorry someone died, get over it, people kill each other every minute of every day on every plot of land on earth. Why are they latchin' on to this so hard? Because it's so much more important a case than the guy who killed the little boy in front of grandfather back during hunting season? More important than the umpteen hundred thousand million people who died today? Humans are no better than a bunch of got-dang hungry jackals. They just need something to feed on. Race card....White AND black folks need to shove that race card up their because many of us are tired of hearing it.

That’s not what we do here. We are arm chair quarterbacks and we don’t let anything ride without giving our opinions. You are one of the most vocal when it comes to drawing conclusions and postings your opinions. So I’m a little confused as to why you don’t think we should be discussing this or giving our opinions. I refuse to support Zimmerman simply because he is a permit holder. The problem I have is that no one has accused this kid of doing anything wrong, and now he is dead. Zimmerman single handedly orchestrated and implemented the actions that led to the death of an innocent person. And for that he should have to answer. I put myself in Trevons position. If I was walking down the street being stalked by someone in a truck and then they got out and approached me, I would have my gun in my hand. If he pulled his one of us would be dead. Only Trevon didn’t have a gun. He didn’t have any way to protect himself other than to try to get away. Zimmernam concluded that made him guilty of something. As I said before we don’t have a justice system, we have a legal system. Justice would be that Trevon was doing nothing wrong and was accosted on the street by a nut case with a gun, as far as I’m concerned he was justified in beating Zimmermans azz and leaving him in the street. Zimmerman should have taken his azz beating for making stupid decisions and went back home to lick his wounds. Instead an innocent person is dead. But no, we have a legal system that will try to say that if Trevon started kicking this guys azz, Zimmerman was justified in killing him. I’ve said here many times, if you get in a fight that you instigated or were a willful participant in; the use of deadly force should not be an option. If that’s what happened (and I don’t know that it is) I hope a message is sent by sending Zimmerman to prison. You can’t let your mouth overload your sorry azz and then back it up with a gun.

We should take a poll here and see where everyone stands. Here are the facts. 1) None of us were there. No one knows what really happened except for Zimmerman and those who witnessed. 2) There is evidence to support self defense including witness testimony. 3) There is no evidence that Zimmerman sought out to kill someone. Innocent until proven guilty.

I absolutely do think there was an investigation going on. I've said that from the beginning. Some here think that this should be let go because it's turned into a circus. If a grand jury won't indict him then fine. But to be opposed to them looking at this case shows a bias just as bad as MSNBC or Jesse Jackson.

Listening to the race baiters and the MSM it sounds as if Zimmerman was out hunting black folks. The Black Panther bounty is completely out of line and the justice department and this idiot president should call them out on it and stop this witch hunt before Mr. Zimmerman is found hanging from a tree. If the police had any reason to arrest him I feel they would have. I'm also giving him the benefit of a doubt and waiting for the facts to come out.

I'm also not going to assume that an adult that shot an unarmed minor did nothing wrong. I am making reasonable assumptions based on the 911 tape. To assume that Treyon just spontaneously assaulted someone is harder to swallow than assuming that Zimmerman did nothing to provoke him after being on tape stalking him. It just doesn't pass a common sense test. If not for that tape I would probably make an assumption that Treyvon was up to no good since people don't usually get shot for no reason at all. So at that point an investigator should be trying to both prove and disprove those reasonable assumptions. I have no reason to believe they weren't doing that already other than media accounts that may or may not be true. This should have been destined for a grand jury from the start.

I guess there are a few. I'm too old to duke it out with a thugling, so I would have to shoot him. I will avoid ANY conflict when I'm armed. That subject has come up a lot on this board.

Or Zimmerman blew off the dispatcher and continued to stalk this kid that had done nothing wrong. Either that or this young man just spontaneously decided to commit a random felony assault against an upstanding citizen. Based on the fact that he still had a can of ice tea in his possession would tell me there wasn't a premeditated intent to do so, unless he thought the tea gave him some kind of upper hand or he thought he might be thirsty after beating up an upstanding citizen in an unprovoked attack. I guess that IS easier to believe than Zimmerman saying "okay" then continuing to do what he was doing.

What bothers me are the people that are so quick to throw Zimmerman under the bus. Could Zimmerman be guilty as hell? It's possible. Could Zimmerman be innocent?There is evidence to support it. Whatever the case I wish people would let it ride its course and let the courts decide. I personally don't think it's ever going to trial.

You can't compare the two because the circumstances are very different. Road Rage is an unlawful act, following a suspicious person in your neighborhood is not.

Not to get of topic, but I watched a Black Panther representative put a bounty out for the capture of Zimmerman on CNN this morning. Could the legal eagles out there explain to me why this person isn't in custody? Isn't this conspiracy to commit kidnapping or something like that? If I was to do the same thing only change "Zimmerman" to "Jesse Jackson" wouldn't I be enjoying the view from the inside of a jail cell?

You could buy a small bottle and see what happens when it goes through your case cleaning process. A 32 OZ bottle of dykem would mark more casings than you could load in your lifetime. Unless you are drinking it while you reload.

Well I guess I will just have to send more to the NRA so that does not happen. What most fanatics on both side of the issue dont realize is that neither side wants to win this battle, they just want to keep it going. If one side wins either way the money flow will stop. There is no money to be made by winning the war, only fighting it. Should the NRA obtain total victory and create a law that would forever take away the threat that we could lose our firearms do you realize how many people that work for the NRA would be out of a job. Same goes for the anti gun lobby. Trust me both sides will play this game long after you and I are both dead and gone. There will be small victories on both sides to keep the masses sending money to fight on, but if one side obtains total victory they both lose in the long run and they know it. The gun rights issue is not about principals or peoples rights any more it is just another way the American are being duped by a bunch of lawyers and lobbyists.

How much you wanna bet. Guns have become way to mainstream, TV shows, Wal-mart selling assault rifles, every other person in the US seems to have a HCP permit. A female US Congresswoman attempted assassination and murder of young girl in the process does not even hardly raise an anti gun news story. He will be re-elected, nothing will happen to our gun rights and we will have pay a premium and endure shortages until the fearmongering subsides.

Obama and the Brady bunch didn’t do anything last election and I doubt they will get anything done after this election. Will they try? Absolutely. Will they get anything done that can trump States Rights or the recent SCOTUS decisions? Doubtful.

You know we could all just vote republican...put down the "tea party" "ron paul" mantle and work together...hold our nose and realize that if we don't all vote republican we are just as guilty for any new gun laws as the people writing them. In this case I think we are our on worst enemies. Panic buying and hoarding ammo/supplies/guns starts its own vicious cycle of shortages.

I'm gonna have to step on some toes and say the nra has done more to raise prices by fear mongering for donations then anything else. Obama doesn't have the clout or ability to enact anti-gun legislation no matter how much the media and the nra tell us otherwise. I know where his stance is but he will not be able to even do as much as Clinton did. Just a fact.

What EXACTLY has Obama done or said to scare anyone. The only people we have to thank for the high prices and shortages are our old friends at the NRA for making everyone think Obama is coming for our guns in an attempt to get you to send them more money.

Well, a lot of "appeals to emotion" here. He was somebodys' child. So are we all, last I checked. Being under the legal limit for alcohol does not an angel make. Disregard all the politically driven emotionally charged pravda, and we are down to the fact that the responding officers did not arrest. The local prosecutor did not believe there was enough evidence to indict. An on-the-scene witness stated that the shooter was attacked from behind, and was on the ground being beaten when he pulled the trigger. The only conflicting witness, apparently was the dead guys' girlfriend, who was on the phone. I personally have no doubt that the girlfriend would only tell the truth, don't you? So, given the facts, there are two possibilities here - either this was almost certainly a justified shoot, or the town of Sanford is a KKK hotbed, including at least 2 cops, the chief of police, and the county prosecutor, who are conspiring to protect a hispanic shooter. Occams razor, anyone? I doubt at this point it would be possible to find an unbiased Grand Jury, this man having been convicted and sentenced in the court of public opinion by everyone up to and including the POTUS. Tough times for this guy. Interesting (and not in a good way, I'm afraid) to see what Holder and co. say about the Black Panthers putting a bounty on his head. And as an aside, I seem to recall at least once before in this forum a rush to judgement against an HCP holder in a shoot which was later found to be completely justified. We more than anyone should realize that the reason so many people are getting permits is that sometimes, some people need to be shot. Unless I am in a minority, and the majority are getting the permits for the cool points or something...

It's too bad that it won't see light of day or get resolved before the election, because between the Sherriff's investigation and this testimony, legally it would render every order and bill that Barry put ink on null and void. Sucks to be us right now.

Anyone who bothered to listen knew what Obama was before November '08. And he still got elected. That tells me the problem is not Obama. The problem is the folks who voted for him. I have not seen that the electorate has gotten any wiser. I hope that I'm wrong.
