  1. http://www.tennessea...ext|FRONTPAGE|s "Police have increased area patrols of the mall and they recommend steps such as retaining possession of items like purses, GPS units, and laptop computers when leaving the vehicle." Noticeably absent is the mention of firearms. Since I can't carry mine inside the mall, then I have to leave it in my car for someone to steal. This is exactly WHY I don't go to the mall.

  2. I don't normally hunt, but these things have invaded the basement. I knew the problem was worse than a mouse when it set off 3 traps and was nowhere to be found. Bigger traps are on the way. I also think I've figured out where they got in. Anyone have any advice for clearing them out?

  3. While sitting here listening to the police scanner and reading / writing on my favorite gun site, a thought occured to me. I'm too busy to listen to the police scanner a whole lot, but when I do, Wal-Mart constantly is the subject of police calls in my little town. Reading many other posts and the news papers, Wal-Mart seems to be a magnet for crime. Shop lifting, fugitives, hit and run, assults, murder, car jacking, rape, pan handlers, robbery, etc. It's all there at Wal-Mart. They have cameras galore inside and out that record everything and normally a mass of people around the facility. So my question would be: What makes a Wal-Mart parking lot so attractive to criminals and being filmed in the process? Do you suppose it is because that's where people with money gather, no outside security, bad video film and low lighting, or a combo of everything? I know Wal-Mart is the largest retail store in America but, percentage wise, I know of no where else crime is as rampet as the parking lot of Wal-Marts. Around here it's getting to the point of being in situational awareness of orange just to go shopping there. What say you?

  5. The only time I hate reloading is when I run out of powder! I buy in bulk as much as possible as others have mentioned and change components when/where possible to shave off some $$ - but I don't look at the time investment - it's just a hobby that I love so the labor is free in my mind. Besides, I can do it a home and that's where I enjoy being if I'm not at the range.

  6. That's their business model - make the $ off the ink... In all fairness, the ink cartridges that come with printers usually have less ink than the ones you purchase separately. They only want enough ink in the box to get you going (and make the selling company not seem cheap).

  8. According to SunTzu, you just have to have member's recommendation and you can become a Moose, and apparently even the bartender there will do. Can't remember if he joined or not. Then you get all the amenities of the place, and don't even have to learn ancient Egyptian and bite the head off live snake and whatnot like the Masons do. - OS

  9. Exactly....the Magpul MOE is way better in my opinion because you can add rail pieces exactly where needed.

  10. It is a unique design and reduces the bulk of an iwb holster. However I would be cautious about it. Can you post a report after you have carried it for a period of time?

  12. I have never seen it closed, not sure it ever does, maybe sometimes for maintenance. There is no staff on site to open/close the place, you just show up, read the rules, and shoot. I always try to clean up more than my own mess hoping others will do the same.

  13. You could argue that in court and after a few hundred dollars for your attorney you might win but why would you put yourself through that? Perhaps the better question, why give ANY business (or mall that the business is is) that posts against carry???? I give my custom to businesses that respect my right to carry and I don't give it to businesses that don't...I highly encourage others to do the same.

  14. For me it's easier to shop elsewhere rather than to be a test case for the screwed up law. If they don't want my money then I know there are others that do! Sure there are ways into most of these malls but who knows what some idiot judge would do if you had to appear before him/her on this type of charge. Not me!

  15. Many, most, nearly all malls that prohibit firearms are going down the tubes. For starters, they are giving up 5 to 10 percent of their customer base from HCP holders and their families that refuse to patronize them. Additionally, they are leaving themselves wide-open to the depredations of various thieves, robbers and rapists. They do all of this while clinging to a discredited ideology that says that guns are bad and that crime is banned along with the guns. We know this to be false, provably false. If they are going to be so stupid as to deny honest but armed customers in favor of dishonest . . . and still armed . . . customers, then they deserve to go out of business. Hello Hickory Hollow. Hello Rivergate. Hello Cool Springs?

  20. Brady nut by your own admission. This is how they get in man, they get "greater good" ideas in your head. Once they're in, you can't get them out. You don't see a NEED for high capacity so you would set yourself against it? You would probably support national Id's and a national gun owners license too yeah? I wipe crap like this off my shoes before I go in at night. No guns in bars???? That's the same filthy hippy rhetoric the Brady camp spews everyday. Like some permit holder is going to belly up to the bar and get hammered like the old west. Churches are private and as long as the CHURCH [not you or any law making body] says it's cool, it's just like any business that welcomes permits or forbids it with proper posting. How are you going to get a stronger background check??? Go back to waiting periods?? AND gun show loop holes huh? There IS NO GUN SHOW LOOPHOLE!! When will you people get that in you thick head. It's no different at a gunshow than in your own living room. If two law abiding citizens with no priors want to sell/buy a gun to/from one another, it is perfectly legal. SO, that would mean you want to do away with private sales? Well, I'm one who's willing to fight about that. Good Day True Grit, do some soul searching, your priorities are misaligned.
