  1. Don't put your finger on the trigger on the trigger unless you want to shoot. Idiot Glenn

  2. This is the attitude about customer service that makes me hate commission sale stores. An employee's job should be to help all customers equally with their purchases. It shouldn't matter if they are buying a $10 hammer or a $2,000 appliance.

  3. This was no accident. There's NO SUCH THING AS AN ACCIDENT. It's sad, but this happened because the guy was an idiot. Plain and simple. Just like all the others we read about and discuss. Negligence is pure, unadulterated idiocy. Quoted as "He didn't know one was in the chamber" Hmmmm IDIOT! There's a few other dumb factors we can assume. First, he had his finger on the trigger. It wouldn't have went off it he didn't. Second, muzzle discipline. Did he know it was pointed in a safe direction. Hmm obviously not. I don't know what they'll do to him, but a public beating would be nice.

  6. Found this on IPBoard forum, works for me: Start by opening any forum, and either "Start A New Topic" or "Reply to an Existing Topic" as if you wished to actually post. Type any word in the body of your message... preferably a misspelled word. RIGHT CLICK on that word, and from the popup menu select the "Languages >" flyout at the bottom. Click "English/United States Bing! Spell check should activate. Seems some if not all editions of Win7 don't have the English activated, although it's already selected in XP. - OS

  7. As i previously posted, i acquired a M&P 15 sport this week. I went out to the range today to give it a run. I was very impressed--but--i have very little experience with the AR platform and long guns in general. I took some picture in hopes that someone could guide me and give me some feedback. Conditions: It was 31 degrees with a steady 10-15 mph wind. The 150 yrd target is somewhat shielded from the wind because of the layout of the range. Hardware: Again, Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport. It was firing Armscor .223 55gr Full Metal Jacket rounds. Iron sites...pop-up magpul. I am not a expert at setting the sights on rifles and i didn't have the tool to adjust the front sight. It took me about (4) 5 rounds groups to get things dialed in at 50 yrds. In the future, i'm sure i could bring things in a little tighter--i just didn't have the equipment to do it today. Results: This is 30 rounds at 100 yrds...off a bench. I didn't have a support or bipod. Next is 10 rounds at 150 yards; Finally--this is 10 rounds the 200 yard target. To be honest- this is the first time i've ever shot at a distance over 100 yards. So there it is...go easy on me. Again, first time reaching out beyond 50 yards with a long gun. Needless to say, i'm hooked. I welcome any and all suggestions. I know practice and trigger time will be the key to improvement but tips might get me there faster. Here's a picture looking from the 200 yard target back to the firing line. The black dot is my truck.....

  9. Well, adding those "features" would be a move toward the rights of the manufacturers to make a good living because I sure as heck would never buy one or be forced to carry one. There's no need for stricter carry laws, infractions by carry permit holders are very low. Plus, no matter how strict, stupid people somehow always manage to stumble through. As far as unrestrained freedom and trampling the rights of minorities????? *sigh* Since the dawn of man, the strong have walked upon the backs of the weak. It's foolishness and arrogance to think it will ever change. Trampling rights sounds like ACLU rhetoric to me.

  10. I understand your being upset...I would say we all agree this is senseless; a shame and real tragedy. But more laws, or regs is not the answer. We have addressed this before, but a permit is simply the beginning, much like a driver's learner's permit. Mistakes with either a car or a handgun can result in loss of life needlessly. I don't have THE answer, except we all owe it to each other to be responsible gun owners and encourage others to do the same. This includes educational programs and pointing out to others irresponsible gun handling.

  18. +1 EMP. . .300 rounds through mine so far. . .100% reliable. Accurate as hell. From what I have heard. . .and even my LGS agrees. . .Kimbers are either hot or cold. Springers run hot more often than not, IMO.

  20. Exactly! As a responsible gun owner I want to always be as safe as I can be and if that means to take classes then that should be up to me on a volunteer basis.

  21. sure, and while were at it, we can have mandatory IQ tests for permit holders....... The last thing we need is more regulations and more "safety" features.

  22. 26" overall. Unless you're just going for looks, I wouldn't reccommend the pistol grip. Nothing renders a shotgun more useless than a pistol grip. It interferes greatly with the aiming part. If you want a short shotgun I would take the money you are going to be putting into this project and pay the $200 stamp for a short barrel shotgun. Well worth it.

  26. I have always felt that a HCP should allow the person to carry any sort of melee weapon (knife, stick, nunchucks, whatever). In the long run I would have anyone able to carry anything, but this would be a small step/victory and encourage more people to get a HCP!
