  1. The effectiveness of voter fraud is not the entire point here. Any voter fraud should be taken very seriously and prosecuted to the full extent. I don't care if someone casts one illegitimate ballot; they should be doing hard time for as long as the law allows. Having a cavalier attitude towards voter fraud only invites more and nullifies our entire system of Government.

  2. Whats "a tactical assault rifle modified to use bullets for an AK-47"? "But the scariest transaction came after dark in a pharmacy parking lot. The online ad was for a 50-caliber sniper rifle, the most powerful gun legally sold in the U.S.: bullet range 5 miles. It can pierce armored vehicles, even bring down a helicopter. But the seller was so laid-back, you’d think he was hocking a used bicycle." You could have done it during the daytime in the Police Department parking lot and you might not have been so scared.

  3. Just moved here fron Southern California and have only been here for a month. My wife and I absolutely love Tennessee, the people, the pace and the beautiful countryside. We don't miss California one single bit. It's also nice to be out from under all of the restrictive gun laws and never ending regulations. We refer to our move as "moving to America". I am a dedicated predator caller/hunter and once we get settled in, I am looking forward to doing some hunting. Right now, we are still living out of moving boxes. I am looking forward to some interaction here. Red

  6. That's certainly true in TN and seems true nationwide. If everyone who voted for Perot had voted GOP, Bush the Elder would have won. (by percent of vote) TN: Clinton: 44.55 Bush: 42.43 Perot: 10.09 Nationwide: Clinton: 43.01 Bush: 37.45 Perot: 18.91 Yes, it could happen again. - OS

  7. Me, too. Would such a state law do any good if it actually came down to enforcement? Maybe, maybe not. Does it have more potential to do some good than if the state simply did nothing in response? Yep.

  8. Ok... I called yesterday... told them I was a patient man, but this is ridiculous. The gal on the phone said she needed to talk with a tech that was in the firing range at the moment, and she would call me back. 2 hours later, she calls, apologizes, and says she's personally carrying it to shipping as soon as we hang up. This morning, I have an e-mail with a tracking number. Methinks a tech might be getting quizzed about "forgetfulness and customers."

  9. Since constitutional rights are an extension of natural law and as such serve to illustrate that these rights do not originate with the federal government, individuals and states have every right to push back against an over reaching federal action. It doesnt mean the outcome will be pretty, but it's the entire freaking point. It's clearly stated in Article VI, paragraph 2 that the Constitution "is the supreme Law of the Land, and the Judges in every state shall be bound thereby". If the federal government crafts an unconstitutional act of law, the states are bound by Article VI to reject it.

  12. The article is very telling about the times we are stepping into due to the failing economy. The Detroit PD claim that the rise in justifiable homicides are unrelated to response times/less police; the rationale they use is that the shootings take place before 911 is even called. But this is a very flawed logic. The criminals obviously know that there are less police on the street and their response times are so slow, so they are more brazen in their crimes. Makes sense that this would lead to rise in SD shootings since the crime is up and the citizenry is more aware and prepared. What I don't like about this article is that it uses phrases like "vigilantism", "retribution" and "taking the law in their own hands". I think they miss the point completely. If someone shoots in self-defense they are not doing it for "retribution", they're doing it to protect themselves. It goes to show how the average person (even the "well informed" press) don't understand the role of law enforcement. They are there to enforce the law, not provide protection.

  14. Do you really think in this day and age of politics, where lobbyists out number Congress 10-1, we're getting anything the status quo doesn't want for a nominee? This political process has become corrupt to its' core. It takes tens of millions of dollars to run for president. Where does the majority of that money come from? Corporate campaign contributions, the government and meager individual contributions. The majority of campaign contributions comes via corporate interests and special interest groups. Do they throw money at these individuals for a tax write off or expect something in return? Unless you live under a rock, you know the news media (news papers, television, "movies") are liberal and extremely bias. Name one, just ONE major news outlet that is not liberal and bias? And IMO, FOX news does not qualify anymore. The hippy, draft dodging, pot smoking, experimental drug guru college students have come to age and infested our universities, public schools and government with liberal thinking. Check all the liberals from Ted Turner to Jane Fonda, Donald Trump to George Clooney to Alan Greenspan. They do nothing but further the liberal agenda. It would be interesting to know the percentage of liberals (takers), and their off spring, that honorably served in combat positions in the military, to defend this great nation. My way of thinking is; a liberal (Democrat) wants to take what you earned by the sweat of your brow, and give it to his choice of beneficiary who didn't earn it for votes, and call it an entitlement. A conservitive (Replublican) wants to do it also, but under the guise of more rules. Sorry about the rant. I just don't like it when the government dimishes my ability to provide for myself and my family through hard work. And gives a large portion of my labor to the morbidity obese lazy welfare entitlement receipients, driving a better car than I do, buying things I can not afford to buy in my budget.

  15. Well...hopefully, if enough states start making a ruckus about this...Congress will rescind their unconstitutional foray into tyranny. (FWIW...laws like the recent NDAA, with it's evil provision that allows for the detention of US citizens by the military, without access to the courts; are blatantly unconstitutional, and are thus null and void.) Perhaps our elected representatives in Washington need to realize the error of their ways, and step back from the brink on this? That way, we can avoid any type of nasty (fed/state) confrontation... And if they don't...well isn't that what the 2nd Amendment is for?? Zulu Cowboy

  16. 62 Grain penetrators -- save it for a rainy day. Or for Zombies. Green tip and all. When the rioters Zombies are burning down houses at the other end of the subdivision, this stuff will help keep the rioters Zombies 100 yards away. You never know when the Zombies will appear, but I'm expecting them well before November.

  17. All it takes for evil to triumph...is for good men to do nothing. I can't believe I am seeing these types of responses to something so blatantly unconstitutional? And on a Tennessee GUN forum...at that! Go back to sleep kiddies...perhaps there is something good on TV to occupy you? Your personal liberty is obviously something that's not important enough for you to worry about. Zulu Cowboy

  19. All government entitlements will eventually be by card. It costs just a few cents to transfer each card payment versus several dollars or more for each check or voucher transfer. FWIW, I'm against ALL government transfer payments. No matter how you slice it, it's robbing Peter to pay Paul and vote-buying. For every truly hard-working person receiving taxpayer money, there are at least four people just gaming the system to enable an indolent lifestyle and poor decision-making. We are paying people to do stupid things like; not work, have children they cannot afford, and believe they have a 'right' to other people's money. The problem with this is that eventually, you run out of other people's money. We are already headed down that steep path. Almost two-thirds of our budget is transfer payments for entitlements. And almost two-thirds of our federal money comes from borrowing. That's like a family that earns $20,000 each year, but spends $60,000 per year by running up credit cards and loans. One day, it will come to a crashing halt. We are seeing that in Greece, Portugal, Spain, and other countries. And we are borrowing more money to help THEM get out of their debt problems. Who will help US? It's a tall house of cards held up only by wishful-thinking.

  21. I would just get the inside delivery option. I've moved a lot of radio broadcast transmitters over the years, some a little over 2000 lbs. I've even used safe jacks to move them, since it's real similar. Now I just hire the pros. Saves a lot of dents in the gear, floor, walls, and me.

  24. The best comment... I say we give all of the mealy mouth, touchy feely, pretentious, self deluded liberals all of the problems they think they can solve with more government, more laws, more love, and more tolerance and send them to one side of the country. Then, those of us with a brain could live on the other side free of their constant stupidity, whining, rape of our civil rights, omniscient interference in our daily lives, anal retentive control methods, and theft of our resources attempting to create their psychotic idea of Utopia. It's time for a revolution folks.
