“There is a difference between being a Gun Owner and being an Armed Citizen”
American Armed Citizen – Covert Protective Pistol I will start you down the path taking you from being a gun owner to being an Armed Citizen, who has the proper Protective Mindset and the ability to employ a pistol in the protection of life. This course will help you build a sound foundation in the development of a robust, reliable, and consistent protective system, all the while gaining an understanding of the potential threats that you may encounter. On the Range we will introduce you to proper pistol manipulation and the fundamentals of marksmanship, as they relate to the employment of a pistol in a protective role. Practical applications of the draw stroke from open carry and concealed carry will be mentored, along with fast and accurate shot placement, emergency and proactive reloads, extending your threshold for success at distance, and non-diagnostic malfunction clearance will be some of the topics covered in this course. Students will also be mentored in how to apply lessons learned into their practice sessions.

Covert Protective Pistol IV will continue the American Armed Citizen series, with an emphasis of the skills needed to be a responsible Armed Citizen. We will continue to refine your response to the management of a potential, unknown threat and the preamble leading up to an altercation, and ways to avoid the fight. Target discrimination and appropriate responses will be focused on during this realistic course work. Students will be put in various realistic, stress induced states, where they will have to critically think and implement an appropriate plan of action, during which time we will work to expand your comfort zone with conflict and its resolution. Implementation of use of cover, movement, and action will be stressed throughout, while maintaining critical accuracy and the ability to prevail as a responsible Armed Citizen. Students will be tested from extreme close range out to extended distance responses. Additionally, we will introduce you to pistol positional shooting to increase accuracy and success. At the completion of this course the Armed Citizen will have the tools for a complete Protective Pistol System.
