Just got a chance to look it up. From what I can find online, the B prefix of the serial number dates it between 1994-1996. The stamping on the barrel looks like EP, so October 1995.

Just sold it.

+1 to Mazda. All the reliability (some studies show even better) of Honda and Toyota without the Toy-onda markup. I've had several and currently own three of them. One north of 200K miles and my daily with 115K. My '07 Mazda 3 hatchback got to 195K before I spun a rod bearing. I abused the crap out of that car :D.
