About This Club

A place for TGO's competitive shooters to come together.
  1. What's new in this club
  2. A lot of people just show up and shoot their first match. That's what I did way back in the 1900s. While that is the "traditional" way of doing it, we can make an argument that doing an "intro" class makes sense to familiarize you with the rules and "how to play the game" type info. That would be a more structured way to familiarize yourself with the game and the rules. Having said that people are generally open to helping new folks and if you just show up at a match and tell them you are a new shooter they will take care of you.
  3. Hello everyone, Marksman LLC Indoor range in Crossville, TN is putting on Level 1 USPSA competitions once a month. The last couple of months they have been at the indoor range, but we will be moving them to the outdoor range starting next month, Sat. April 26th. Check practiscore for registration and details or message me here for more information. ~Double Alpha

  4. @Cruel Hand Luke I've seen some classes offered like intro to IDPA and such but do I need to take those to get started? I've never shot competition at all so I wanna make sure I know which is the best direction to take
  5. My goal is to start this year. I'm in Chattanooga.
  6. Yes, I normally try to shoot the matches at Cohutta Pines in Cisco GA , Cleveland Hunting Rifle and Pistol Club in Cleveland TN , and occasionally at Montlake in Soddy Daisy and then I try to hit the local state level matches and the Nationals and World when they are not on the other side of the country.
  7. I've been shooting IDPA, seeing if anyone else is shooting.
  8. I live in Hendersonville close to Centerpointe RD. I'm going to Strategic Edge Chapel Hill to shoot a USPSA match on the 21st if anyone wants to ride along. You must first register on PractiScore to get a slot. New on here so it might take me a minute to figure it out if you reply.
