Well brother's and sister's after reading your responses on another thread, I made a move on my first AR ever. I went with the Ruger AR 556. It is SWEET! I've done made some noise with it. Thanks to all who steered me in this direction!

Hell yeah! Awesome picture! And, I'm assuming you're happy with your FIRST of many AR's (at least first of a few)?

Very happy. Heck I want to pop some flares for a little night fire now! It sure is sweet!

Try building one from a stripped lower lol. This one is my first build instead of modifying a bought one and it's nerve racking.

Options beyond options to decide between.

Yep. There will be a box. First items in the box will be stuff that came on your first AR. Some of it will wind up on your second AR, but probably not permanently. So, it will wind up back in the box with some items from your second AR. Then...

I got my first AR thanks to TGO and I've repaid the favor by helping about a dozen folks get their first ones.

AR = gun ebola.

You has the ebola. You're doomed.

And get a box and label it "stuff I bought for my AR'S that I thought I'd love" lol

You can always save space and stack that box with your holster collection box lol.

Congrats the ruger 556 is an awesome rifle.
Welcome to the house for wayward ar 15 owners. Were all divorced, stockholders in Magpul and pray at the lake city church located at 556 add on road. We're always late on child support when a new accessory comes out. The black soot from your rifle won't hurt the bedsheets, it will wash out.
Welcome aboard!

Range report or it doesn't exist....

I fired it out back when I got it. It shoots really smooth and cycles faster than I can blink. Out of the box it shot just a tad high. My SIL whom has built several under the advice of Dolomite, checked it out and said the bolt seemed a little tight, but may be due to being new. I do not like the plastic Pmag magazines as I'm a old school M-16 kind of guy and like the metal mags. I ordered optics for it yesterday, and as soon as I get some "glass" on it, I'll share some target info with you.
