Firearms agitator still waiting to fight gun charge (Embody case)

He's whining about this having a negative impact on his livelihood and finances, yet this is exactly what he set out to do. This guy thrives on the drama of making his life hard. His pathetic life is going to culminate with him pulling one of these stunts and getting shot by an armed citizen or police. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the update.

Yes, we all have the right to parade around with long guns and tacticool attire, not sure that it means we should.

By NOT parading around in such a fashion doesn't mean we will lose our right to do so.

Legally purchasing so a firearm becomes your personal property, getting a HCP, communicating with elected servants and exercising your duty to vote for pro 2A representatives helps preserve our 2A rights.

I've long wondered whether his actions hurt his cause far more than help it. Now, I think the question is, is whether it's hurting him personally too much to keep this kind of thing up.

I guess we'll see. I'm planning on being there Aug. 15 or whenever the case ends up playing out.

The case against him is weak. At this point, I believe they are just messing with him for as long as they can.

They know a civil case will follow if they drop charges and they are trying to protect the taxpayers from paying this dirtbag.

His argument is that even though he had the proper permits; he is not required to answer questions or show them at the request of local Police. I don’t want to pay him a dime, but if we have to I want this to go to a trial. I want to see the courts say that a mental case with a rifle is hands off.

He’s attempting to lay the groundwork to show a loss for his civil suit if they drop charges.

There is a lot of things our Constitution provides for us but that does not mean we have to go around parading them to the world everyday just to draw attention to ourselves. As for me. when I am out in the public I want to be as invisible as possible and just take care of the business I have left my home to take care of and then I want to get back home and know I am in a safe place once again..............jmho

As it stands right now, his actions have clearly hurt his cause far more than it has helped.

While it sounds like his actions have caused him a great financial hardship, I'm not convinced this will be the last we hear or see of him. This is especially true if he manages to have this case dismissed, or is found not guilty. It doesn't sound like he has much more to lose, so things could get very interesting.

If the case is dismissed, or is found not guilty, I could easily see him pulling a similar stunt, just to prove a point. If he wasn't looking for a pay day before, he certainly will be now that he's broke. If he's not convicted, there is at least a decent chance he will receive that pay day.

Yea, he did get his share of attention if I took him out with me. He was definitely a ladies man cause women were really attracted to him. I guess it was that he was so ugly he was cute to them. I had him his entire life and had to bottle feed him from birth and had him about 16 years before I have to have him put down after a  heart attack he suffered. He is buried in my back yard here.

Next he'll be going to a public playground wearing a flesh colored speedo and a light coat of oil while covering Blondie songs. There's no law on the books against that, but it'll probably land him in jail and give him ammo for another failed lawsuit. Lord knows he needs another cause to highjack. Brian,

welcome back. I though we scared you away. Thanks for sharing the article.

Nah, not at all. You guys have been great (even when critical).

I've just been off on other issues for awhile now (death penalty, domestic violence, meth, etc.).

He reminds me of the dalmation I had several years ago.  He preferred a whipping to being ignored.

That sucks, man! I know what it's like to put down your best 4-legged friend. Now I feel bad about ribbing you. :(

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted here. Figured you all would be interested in this mini-update on the Leonard Embody case. It got continued to a later date, but I took it as a chance to catch up with him.

Thank you for calling him an agitator instead of an activist!

You know, I struggled to find the right term. Considered "firebrand", but that didn't really get the flavor. I do think activist would have worked too, but his actions are more provocative than the typical activist, which is why I settled on "agitator".

I think it fits best.

It's like Spandex.  It comes in 3XL but that does not mean you should wear it.

I have no sympathy for an agitator asking for it, but....

If this guy has a history of anything, it has been carry weapons around and not killing people, over and over and over.

If he's prooved he's a threat to anything, he's a threat to his own ambition and cause.
