I remembered why I don't order from them...I have to send a copy of C&R every damn time I order from there because they can't keep up with it.

I am really tempted to order one. Wish I had filed for a C&R license earlier this year to avoid going through a dealer.

If these remain in stock for a while I may just grab my first Nagant. Otherwise I'll wait and watch Black Friday sales from a few places.

Got 2 of them yesterday.  Paid for handpicked ones and overall they are in pretty good condition with small dings and cosmoline has been removed. No straps or leather were included but that is the way they were advertised.. Checked head space and they were good. One needs firing pin adjusted but that is no big deal. Overall, I would give them a B+. If anyone has straps they don't want, I might be interested.

Just Joking This is one I refinished. Will get some up today of the ones that were shipped day before yesterday. I just wanted to see if I could post pics from photobucket. I think I might make the ones I got on wednesday ones that look like this. After all, this one looked worse than the ones pictured in next post.

These are the ones I got day before yesterday. They were $109 hand picked. Now that I have gotten them out in the sun, I think I will lower the grade a tad. They look worse outside but for the cost, not too bad. At least I didnt have to get the cosmoline off.

Riciticky, those look purdy to me but then the only ugly ones I ever saw were modified.

I don't care if other people don't like refinished mosins. I do and I own them. They threatened to ban me on one  mosin nagant forum if I posted pics of a refinished one. I would think different if they cost a lot of money. I got a M44 from aim surplus with the cosmoline removed and it only has  very very minor scratches on it. I will leave it like it is. Does anyone know what color stain is on these from the factory?

I don't know what stain was used but I'd love to see minwax or someone come out with the appropriate color stain and call it "blood of tyrants".

I couldn't resist the black Friday special and ordered one at $89 and one at $99 with hand select. Shipping was only about $5 more for two. I guess we'll see whether the hand select makes any difference. I'll probably pick one to keep and sell the other since I already have several 91/30s...but who knows. :pleased:

I didn't get one either, went with a blem lower instead and wife restricted me to one triple digit item...
One of these days I will pick up a Mosin and would love to get my grandfather's Garand from him.
