Yet another reason to homeschool

I am amazed at how we have strayed from teaching facts (or supposed facts) to teaching opinion. These teachers need to be held accountable for their idiocy.

I will say that I do not agree with the father saying that no religion or politics should be in school.

On this same topic, I have marched into my children's school on several occasions to "correct" some stupid crap my 1st graders teacher has tried to impose on my child. And it's constantly the same fight, her trying to pass her morales and beliefs to my child. Not her job. Her job is to teach facts from a book and perhaps add in a little personality while doing so. Parents need to be more involved.

Parents have got to monitor what is going on in the classroom, I could give you horror stories from 20 years ago, God only knows what those fools are up to these days!  My son was being physically hurt by another child.  Who did they blame?  He still has a pencil lead in his arm to prove it.  His older brother was being emotionally abused by his teacher.  Homeschooling is the only way you can be assured that your child learns what is necessary to compete and is safe from the teachers and other students.  Homeschoolers score higher on standardized tests and do better in college than do many private school children.  It was hard to give up the money but we made do.  One of my most happy memories was a 'couple of years ago my youngest said, "It was good, mom, I never had everything I wanted, but I had everything I needed."  Nuff said.

I am almost as concerned that a 4th grader wrote this in crayon as what he wrote.

I am not even sure furious begins to describe my feelings.
