I may just buy one. Right now I am using a ZT 0300 as my EDC. It is a great knife, but it is a little big. The XM-18 is awesome, but it is a little more than I want to spend for a EDC knife.

The knife I really want right now is a Microtech A.D.O. or a CR Shadow III. Very tough to find one for sale.

It is a great knife, the best ZT out there, like Kong I am lucky enough to own some Hinderer knives and I can honestly say that this is the next best thing, for a little over $200.00 you will not find a better knife

I would get this over the Microtech any day of the week, more than $100.00 less and a far superior knife Chris Reeve Project 1 Integral Tactical - Chris Reeve Knives

I finally managed to pick up one of the earlier 0551s. I received it this evening, and it is an incredibly nice knife. The thing is built like a tank and it is the sharpest out of the box ZT I own. If the 0561 flippers are anything like these, they are going to be really sweet. The only thing I do not like about this knife is the scale. It does nothing for me. I ordered a replacement orange scale.

For those that don't know what they look like (I'm sure Steve and Fred have one), here you go.

If you are contemplating getting one (have to find a used one now) I would wait until the ZT 0561 comes out.

Oh, by the way, I finally found my Shadow III as referenced in post #3.

Question for the SMEs. Did ZT put out a black blade 0551? The information I have read says they did, but I have not seen any pictures.

They did a prototype in Black. From what I was told they will eventually release a black blade one depending on the success of the model

I just saw on BF that kershawguy has some of these available right now.

I didn't see it. What was his price? Same as KnifeArt?

I did see he is ready to ship out the new 0550. Either of you planning on getting one? I don't think I will, but I do have a 0561 on preorder with him.

Yep, someone got a good deal on that one. I put some blue Hinderer scales on mine. It would be my daily carry if it weren't for those damned efficient, perfect ZT 0350 and small Sebenza that currently take that role.

Gonna post a pic with the blue scale?

My daily carries (have two of them) are my XM-24 ( I love that knife) and one of my Startacs.

Question. Has anybody got a 560/561 yet? I have both of them on preorder, but they aren't available. I keep seeing them posted for sale, and they look awesome. I want to hold one of them and see if they are as good as they look.

I picked up a new 551 for 189.00. It should be here tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it. I also would like to get an orange scale at some point.
